The Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Sh. Anurag Agarwal appealed to every voter in the state to cast their vote independently and impartially for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024. He emphasised that if any voter is being pressured by anyone, they should report it on the helpline number 1950, and the concerned authorities should ensure to resolve their issue.
Mr. Anurag Agarwal chaired the meeting held here today to discuss and review the responsibilities pertaining to the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Sh. Agarwal said that if anyone feels that the election code of conduct is being violated in their area, such as the sale of liquor, illegal painting on walls, hoardings, rallies, etc. then they can file a complaint via the cVIGIL mobile app and the concerned officers on duty will ensure the resolution of such complaints within 100 days.
He also stated that the administration must ensure that there are no conflicts based on religion or caste at any booth. He directed all the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to jointly inspect all the sensitive areas and to appoint sector officers in all districts immediately. He further instructed the sector officers to prepare the requisite Sector Management Plan.
