Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, has granted administrative sanction for the special repair and improvement of 5 MDR (Major District Roads) in 4 Districts namely Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Karnal and Jhajjar. This project will cost over Rs. 84.23 crore. The important roads with a district connecting production and market places with each other or with the main highways are known as ‘Major District Roads’.
Giving more information in this regard, an official spokesperson stated that the special repair under the project include Widening & Strengthening of roads of village Jhumpa kalan, Behal, Kairu and Bhiwani-Loharu road (MDR-126) spanning 8.37 km of District Bhiwani with an estimated cost of Rs. 12.31 crore, Widening & Strengthening of road Bhattu-Ludesar-Jamal to State Border (MDR-103) spanning 10.45 Km. in Fatehabad district with an estimated cost of Rs. 11.18 crore, Strengthening of roads from village Kohand-Munak-Salwan-Assandh (MDR-114) spanning 37.850 km of District Karnal with an estimated cost of Rs. 24.95 crore, Strengthening of roads from Karnal Munak road (MDR-115) spanning 24.60 km of District Karnal with an estimated cost of Rs. 16.74 crore, Improvement of Roads from Bahadurgarh to Chhara road (MDR-122) in Jhajjar District at an estimated cost of Rs. 19.03 crore.
He further stated that these initiatives reflect the Haryana Government’s commitment to infrastructure development and will undoubtedly bring substantial benefits to the public by improving road networks and connectivity across the state.
