Haryana CM announces establishment of Horticulture College and Hockey AstroTurf in Naraingarh

In a major boost to education and sports infrastructure in the region, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, on Monday, announced the establishment of a Horticulture College and Hockey Astroturf in stadium in the Naraingarh Assembly constituency. The college will be affiliated with Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, Karnal, and is expected to provide world-class education and research opportunities in the field of horticulture to the youth of the region. Announcing the installation of a Hockey Astroturf at Badagarh stadium, he also stated that high-mast lights will be installed to ensure hockey players can continue their practice sessions even after evening.

The Chief Minister made these announcements while addressing a public meeting at Naraingarh Assembly constituency today.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister announced that the state government will review the physical report of ‘Naraian Talab’ and submit it to the Pond Authority to ensure its renovation and restoration. He also declared the four-laning of the road from Patarheri to Shahzadpur – Naraingarh. To improve local infrastructure, the CM allocated Rs 10 crore for the repair and renovation of PWD roads in the constituency. An additional Rs 5 crore was announced for the repair of roads under the Marketing Board. In addition, he also announced Rs 5 crore for the development of villages within the Naraingarh Assembly constituency. He highlighted that community centers have already been constructed in around 45 villages and assured that similar facilities will be provided gradually in the remaining villages.

Cooperative sugarmill to be set up soon in Naraingarh to benefit farmers

The Chief Minister said that the state government had already announced the establishment of a cooperative sugar mill in Naraingarh. Acknowledging the challenges faced by farmers, he said that the government has actively discussing their issue and formed a committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. The Chief Secretary is personally overseeing the issue, and three meetings have already been held in this regard. The Chief Minister said that either the existing mill will be established as a cooperative sugar mill, or an alternative cooperative mill will be set up. This decision will be implemented soon to ensure that the farmers of Naraingarh and surrounding areas do not face any further difficulties.

On this occasion, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 10 development projects in the Naraingarh Assembly constituency, with a total cost of Rs 43.28 crore. Of these, 7 projects worth Rs 22.23 crore were inaugurated, and the foundation stone for 3 projects worth Rs 21.05 crore was laid. The inaugurated projects include the construction of several new link roads, as well as the widening and renovation of existing roads. In addition, the Regional Horticulture Research Centre in Chandsoli, under Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, Karnal, was also inaugurated. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new bus stand, the renovation of the workshop, the laying of drinking water pipelines in new colonies of Naraingarh, and the strengthening of the drinking water distribution system.

Possession and documents of 100 square yard plots to be handover soon to one lakh eligible beneficiaries

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that, in the first phase, he would soon hand over the possession and documents of 100 square yard plots to one lakh eligible beneficiaries. In addition, Apart from this, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, the government will transfer funds directly into the bank accounts of approximately 77,000 eligible beneficiaries within this year. He further stated that officers have been instructed to conduct a survey to identify those who were previously left out, ensuring that all eligible families receive their houses under the scheme.

Rs 770 crore spent for development of Naraingarh assembly in last 10 years

Listing the development works carried out over the past decade in the Naraingarh Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister said that the present government is ensuring all-round development of the state in alignment with Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas and the spirit of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek. He highlighted that approximately Rs 770 crore have been invested in the expansion of road infrastructure, educational institutions, sports facilities, establishment of PHCs and CHCs, upgradation of the civil hospital, construction of power substations, and the construction and renovation of bridges over rivers in Naraingarh over the last 10 years.

24 Crops being purchased at MSP in Haryana

Chief Minister said that all 24 crops are now being procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) in the state. He also said that Rs 1,25,000 crore have been transferred to the bank accounts of 12 lakh farmers for crop purchases so far. Acknowledging the hardships faced by farmers due to inadequate rainfall during the Kharif season, the state government provided about Rs 1,000 crore as a bonus of Rs 2,000 per acre to support them.

Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that in a significant step, the government has also abolished the abiana system, which had been in place since British times. The Chief Minister further highlighted various other initiatives aimed at benefiting farmers, youth, kidney patients, senior citizens, women, and people from Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Backward Classes (BCs).

MLA Smt Shalley Choudhary, former Minister Sh. Assem  Goyal, former MLA Dr. Pawan Saini and Smt. Santosh Sarwan, BJP district President Sh Mandeep Singh Rana, Chairman Sh. Dharambir Mirzapur and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
