Chandigarh, April 12 – The land of Haryana is set to witness a historic moment on April 14 when the Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi visits the state to usher in a new era of development. On this occasion, the foundation stone will be laid and inauguration of many important projects will be held in Yamunanagar and Hisar which will be a significant stride toward the vision of a self-reliant India and a prosperous Haryana. These projects will not only strengthen the state’s infrastructure but also open new avenues of employment for the youth.

Grand start of 800 MW Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for 800 MW modern thermal power unit of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) in Yamunanagar. This third unit, spread across 233 acres, involves an investment of Rs 8,469 crore. Scheduled to be completed within 52 months, the project is expected to commence commercial operations by March 2029. Once operational, it will significantly boost Haryana’s energy self-sufficiency and ensure uninterrupted power supply for industries across the state.

Compressed Biogas Plant Yamunanagar

Driven by the Prime Minister’s visionary ‘Gobardhan Mission’, Haryana continues to make strides in cleanliness, sustainability, and energy self-reliance. In line with this mission, the foundation stone of a Compressed Biogas Plant will be laid in Mukarbpur, within the Yamunanagar-Jagadhari Municipal Corporation area. Developed in collaboration with BPCL at a cost of  Rs 90 crore, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 2,600 metric tonnes and is slated for completion by 2027. This initiative will help in effective organic waste management while contributing to clean energy production and environmental conservation.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate air services from Maharaja Agrasen Airport, Hisar. In a moment of pride, he will flag off the first flight to Ayodhya. With scheduled flights from Hisar to Ayodhya (twice weekly), three flights in a week to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, this development marks a significant leap in Haryana’s aviation connectivity. Additionally, the foundation stone for Phase II of the airport will be laid on the same day. This Rs 413 crore phase, targeted for completion by April 17, 2027, will include a state-of-the-art passenger terminal (37,790 sq. meters), a cargo terminal (2,235 sq. meters), and an ATC building, transforming Hisar into a major hub for trade and transport.

Rewari Bypass: Smoother Travel and Economic Boost

The successful implementation of Rewari Bypass project has been completed as an important link of concrete steps being taken by the state government to ensure the all-round development of the state and modern transport system. Spanning 14.4 km and built at a cost of Rs 1,069.42 crore under the Bharatmala Pariyojana via hybrid annuity mode, the bypass is now fully operational. It will decongest Rewari city, reduce Delhi–Narnaul travel time by one hour, and boost economic and social activity in the region. This is yet another milestone in the country’s rapidly evolving infrastructure under the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership.

Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, we are moving progressively towards the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’. Our mission is to ensure that the light of development reaches every citizen and that our nation continues to progress on the path of self-reliance. The Haryana Government, with active support from the Centre, is committed to implementing welfare schemes at the grassroots level.

A New Dawn of Development for Haryana

The Prime Minister’s visit will mark the beginning of a new developmental chapter for Haryana. With the boundless power of energy and the soaring spirit of aviation, this journey will elevate the state to new heights where every farmer thrives with prosperity, every youth finds opportunity, every entrepreneur sees new horizons, and every household smiles with the promise of self-reliance. This visit will not only accelerate economic growth but also position Haryana as a frontrunner among India’s most developed states.
