Chandigarh, April 13 – Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi will inaugurate air travel services from Maharaja Agrasen Airport on April 14, 2025. This visit by the Prime Minister reflects his commitment to the development of Haryana. Preparations for this much-awaited event are in the final stage. The administration has completed all arrangements for the programme.
Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, SPG, IG, Sh. Love Kumar, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and culture Department, Sh.K.M. Pandurang, and other senior officers inspected the venue and finalised the preparations. During the event, the foundation stone of terminal-2 will be laid and the first flight from Hisar to Ayodhya will be flagged off, he added.
Chief Secretary, Sh. Anurag Rastogi along with DG, Sh. K.M. Pandurang, also reviewed all key aspects including the airport premises, security arrangements, traffic control, facilities for invited guests, media gallery, and issued necessary directions to the concerned nodal officers. A pandal has been set up for the attendees, and proper arrangements have been made for transportation and food.
The Chief Secretary further said that this airport will be a major gift not just for Hisar, but also for nearby districts. The start of air travel services will boost local trade, tourism, and attract more investments.
Nodal Officer, PM’s Programme Commissioner and Secretary, Sh. Mohammed Shayin, Commissioner, Hisar Division, Sh. A Sreenivas, Director General, Civil Aviation Department, Dr. Narhari Banger, Deputy Commissioner, Hisar, Sh. Anish Kumar, SP, Sh. Shashank Kumar Sawan, Additional Director, Sh. Vivek Kalia and other senior officers also remained present.
