Chandigarh:
In a dedicated effort to ensure an adequate blood supply for patients, the department of Transfusion Medicine conducted a blood donation camp on 14th May, 2025 under the guidance of Prof. R.R. Sharma at Community Center, Manimajra in association with Chandigarh Municipal Corporation under the leadership of Dr. Suchet Sachdev and collected 42 blood units.
Another was at Community Centre, Sector 28, Chandigarh in association with Chandigarh Municipal Corporation under the leadership of Dr. Ekta Paramjit and collected 75 blood units. The Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh expresses its sincere gratitude to all its volunteer donors who came forward to donate on the occasion. The donated blood and components help in catering the needs of the critically ill patients in the institute.
The Department of Transfusion Medicine will continue its life-saving mission with the next blood donation camp scheduled on May 15, 2025 , in association with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. The camp will be held at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Nalagarh , starting from 10:00 a.m. onwards.
