*Power Department committed to provide quality facilities to Haryana residents*
Chandigarh, May 25 – There have been some news reports regarding damage at many places in the state on Saturday due to strong winds and rain. The Power Department is determined to provide smooth power supply to the general public. Due to a solid strategy and promptness of the department, wherever there was a fault, it was rectified as soon as the information was received, so that the general public does not face any problem
Regarding the misleading information about damage to the 132kV Seka-Nangal Chaudhary line on social media, the department clarifies that false propaganda is being done that the 132kV line collapsed like a pack of cards because in reality, only one tower is reported to be damaged. Power supply is smooth in the area. However, the department is investigating the reasons for the damage to the tower.
A government spokesperson said that in the information being circulated, it is being claimed that work is going on on the line, whereas it is not the case as this is not a new line. It has been charged in the year 2023. There are a total of 73 towers on the line, out of which only one tower has been damaged. This is a DD+15 tower with a height of 47.715 meters. There was a heavy storm in the area and sometimes towers fall during such extremely strong winds. The department took immediate action on this and restored the power supply so that the people of the area do not face any kind of difficulty.
