Chandigarh, September 22 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the Central and State Governments are following the path shown by Maharaja Agrasen and working on the policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Just as Maharaja Agrasen used to support every person settling in his kingdom by gifting one brick and one gold coin, the state government, inspired by his inclusive and farsighted vision, is working to make every individual self-reliant through its schemes.
The Chief Minister was addressing a gathering as the Chief Guest at “Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti” organized in Panchkula under the Haryana Government’s Sant Mahapurush Samman evam Vichar-Prasar Yojana.
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini first extended greetings of Navratras to the people and paid obeisance to Maharaja Agrasen. Mentioning several eminent personalities of the community, he said that in whichever field one looks, the contribution of the Agarwal community can be seen.
The Chief Minister said the Agarwal community is mainly associated with trade and industry. Over the past few years, the Haryana Government has taken several important steps to create a favorable environment for industry and trade. Due to the government’s policies, Haryana has today become the first choice of investors from India and abroad. To resolve traders’ issues, the government has set up the Haryana Vyapari Kalyan Board. It has named the Hisar Airport after Maharaja Agrasen so that future generations may remember his ideals and principles.
He informed that from Navratras onwards, reforms made in GST are being implemented across the country, which has brought special enthusiasm among the trading community. Expressing happiness, he said that the Agarwal community will send a letter of thanks to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi for these reforms.
He further informed that an online facility for e-refund has been started for traders. In the field of taxation, facilities like e-registration, e-payment of tax, e-filing of returns, e-tendering, and issuance of C-Form online have been started.
The Chief Minister said that under the Mukhyamantri Shehri Swamitva Yojana, ownership rights of municipal shops and houses, which have been on rent, lease, or licence fee for more than 20 years, have been given to the persons occupying them. For the convenience of traders, the E-Way Bill Yojana has been launched for interstate movement of goods. Under the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Maan Dhan Yojana, a minimum monthly pension of Rs. 3,000 has been ensured for retailers and shopkeepers on attaining the age of 60 years.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while elaborating on the schemes being implemented for the convenience of industrialists, said that a separate MSME Department has been set up for the welfare of small and medium traders. A GST Facilitation Cell has been established in Gurugram to support start-ups. This cell is providing end-to-end assistance to start-ups, from registration to filing of returns. Similarly, an MSME GST Facilitation Cell has been established in Panchkula. This is helping small entrepreneurs easily comply with GST requirements.
He informed that to accelerate industrial development in Haryana, an ecosystem of Ease of Doing Business has been created. The State Government has resolved several long-pending issues related to industries and created an industrial environment in the state. This has also built confidence among entrepreneurs in the Haryana Government.
