Chandigarh, November 14– Director General, Postal Services, Sh. Jitendra Gupta, congratulated the winning team at the conclusion of the 36th All India Postal Kabaddi Tournament 2025-26 held at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He said that sports hold great importance in life, and therefore the Postal Department is consistently making efforts to promote sports. This tournament has been organised in the same direction. He also extended his best wishes to all other teams participating in the tournament for their future competitions.
On this occasion, Chief Postmaster General, Haryana Circle, Ambala, Sh. Sachin Kishore thanked all participants, coaches, and referees for successfully conducting the competition. He said that sports must be played in the spirit of true sportsmanship, and encouraged everyone to continue progressing with this mindset.
A total of 11 teams from various postal circles participated in the tournament. In the final match, Maharashtra defeated Karnataka with a score of 41–24 and secured the championship title, while Karnataka stood as the runner-up. Maharashtra’s Sh. Saurabh Kulkarni won the “Player of the Tournament” title, Maharashtra’s Sh. Ajinkya Panwar was awarded “Best Defender,” and Karnataka’s Sh. Rakshit was declared “Best Raider.” The champion team was honoured with trophies and medals.
