Haryana Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the government is working to uplift the deprived by providing the benefits of government welfare schemes to the eligible beneficiaries.

        During the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Jan Samvad Programme held in the villages of Sega and Kheri Sheru in the Kaithal district on Monday, the State Minister addressed the rural population. The minister also inspected stalls set up by various departments and heard a live programme by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi in the village Sega. Beneficiaries were provided with the benefits of various services during the programme.

        State Minister, Smt. Kamlesh Dhandha stressed upon the importance of public participation in achieving Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. She said that the present central and state government are strenuously working to bring ‘Antyodaya’ families of the country and the state into the mainstream through various schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Scheme, PM SVANidhi, Ujjwala Yojana, among others.

        She commended Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal for bringing about significant changes in the state. Job opportunities are being provided to the youth without any ‘Parchi-Kharchi’. This is a significant change, and major development work has been carried out in all districts. Collective demands of the villagers are being fulfilled on time, and development projects worth crores of rupees are being undertaken in the villages.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal safeguards youth seeking overseas employment through illegal means by rationalizing the outsourcing policy

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal has rationalized the outsourcing policy to safeguard contractual employees from contractor exploitation. He has taken the complaints of contractor-induced exploitation of workers, particularly in relation to EPF contribution and ESI, seriously and has established the Haryana Kaushal Rozgaar Nigam to address these issues. In addition, the Chief Minister has also taken care of the youth seeking employment abroad through unconventional means such as kabootarbazi, illegal methods, and donkey routes. This initiative aims to ensure that the youth of Haryana pursue overseas employment through legal avenues, promoting a safer and more secure pathway for their aspirations.

        The Chief Minister acknowledges the significant role played by the Haryana Kaushal Razgaar Nigam in promptly meeting the manpower needs of various departments. Within a swift 20-day turnaround, job offer letters are issued to eligible candidates based on departmental requirements. The Nigam has invited applications for 28 categories across various departments, extending the opportunity from law graduates to individuals proficient in reading and writing Hindi. The interested candidates can apply until January 14, 2024.

Advertisement Released: Job opportunities in 41 categories in Arab and Central Asian Countries

        The state government, through the HKRN, is extending opportunity for interested youth to apply for 41 diverse job categories in countries including Finland, Uzbekistan, Japan, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. The application deadline for these opportunities is January 10, 2024. In the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi, applications are open for positions such as heavy-duty driver, light vehicle driver, electrician, plumber, mason, carpenter, and construction works. Similarly, applications can also be made for the recruitment of 10,000 laborers for Israel, 50 staff nurses for Cambridge University Hospital in the UK and 50 bouncers (security guards) in Dubai.

        In addition, there is a pressing demand for 2,500 nursing positions in the UK. Prospective candidates for these roles are being searched with annual salaries ranging from £26,000 to £29,000 (approximately Rs 27.6 lakh to Rs 30.7 lakh). Furthermore, there is an additional call for candidates proficient in Hindi, English, and Russian languages to serve as translators in Uzbekistan, with a compensation of $1,000 per month (Rs 83,243).

        The Haryana government is actively working towards creating employment opportunities for the youth. In the past years, a substantial 1,10,000 jobs have been generated through the Haryana Public Service Commission and Haryana Staff Selection Commission. In addition, 60,000 jobs are in the pipeline. Moreover, to address the employment scenario, over 1.08 lakh individuals already working on a contractual basis have been integrated into the HKRN. Furthermore, the government has recruited 17,785 new personnel on a contract basis, reflecting a comprehensive effort to boost employment opportunities in the state.

        Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal emphasizes the importance of preventing the exploitation of Haryana’s youth at any level, ensuring they do not fall into the clutches of unscrupulous agents. To address this concern, the government has established the HKRN. Apart from this, Foreign Cooperation Department has also been formed, which is continuously working to attract foreign investors to Haryana and to find employment opportunities abroad for the youth.

Energy Minister participates in the felicitation ceremony of  Anganwadi workers in the village of Panniwala Mota in the Sirsa district

Haryana Energy Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh on Monday attended the felicitation ceremony of  Anganwadi workers held at the village of Panniwala Mota in the Sirsa district. On this occasion, he inaugurated the newly constructed building of Shri Kabir Dharamshala.

        Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Ranjit Singh said that welfare schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, initiated by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is being implemented for the upliftment of women.

“Chief Minister, Sh.  Manohar Lal is also working with compassion for the upliftment of the Dalits, backward, and marginalised communities in the state. Through PPP, various benefits are being provided to the poor. Online services are proving most beneficial to the needy, offering them access to ration cards, pensions, and other benefits from the comfort of their homes,” said the Minister.

        He said that the present government has worked to curb corruption and is undertaking unbiased developmental work throughout the state, extending development projects to villages following the model of cities. Efforts are being made to ensure that the welfare of the schemes is given to the actual beneficiaries, said Sh. Ranjit Singh.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra today reached villages Dhadhot and Madhogarh in district Narnaul, Chandpura and Dhanounda in Ateli block, Bhungarka in Nangal Chaudhary, and Azamnagar in Sihama section.

On this occasion, the oath of ‘Viksit Bharat’ was also administered to the citizens. Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. Om Prakash Yadav participated as the Chief guest in Azamnagar village.

        Addressing the citizens in Azamnagar village, Sh. Om Prakash Yadav said that the government’s goal is to reach its schemes to every deserving beneficiary. Those eligible citizens who have been deprived of the benefits of government schemes are being connected to the schemes and are benefiting, said the Minister.

        The Minister said that the common man’s work in Haryana is becoming easier. The government has worked on bringing about changes in the system using modern technology.

        He said that during the yatra, people are being informed about various schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Chirayu Haryana Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Har Ghar Nal se Jal, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat, etc.

Deputy Chief Minister Flags Off 40 Firefighting Bikes in Haryana

The Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala today flagged off 40 firefighting bikes from seven districts at the Public Works Department Rest House in Panchkula. The remaining 60 bikes will be handed over to the remaining districts soon, a contribution from Hero Motor Corporation under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

        During the event, the Deputy Chief Minister was briefed by the Director General of Fire and Emergency Services, Dr. Yashpal Singh, who provided detailed information about the department’s operations and challenges.

        Mr. Dushyant Chautala also engaged in discussions with fire officials from Karnal, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Jind, and the Headquarters to address firefighting and emergency situations. He emphasized the need to enhance the system and provided valuable suggestions. The Deputy CM assured a prompt response to the demands presented by the fire officials.

        Instructing officers to work diligently in their respective areas, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the repair and maintenance of fire systems in accordance with the fire department’s guidelines. He directed inspections of educational institutions, universities, colleges, petrol stations, industries, marriage banquet halls, and the fire systems in the districts.

        Mr. Dushyant Chautala instructed a thorough check of fire systems in large and small industrial units across all districts. For faulty fire systems in industrial units, he directed the fire officers to conduct inspections and ensure repairs. He emphasized that if any institution fails to rectify its fire system, even after a 30-day notice from the fire department, appropriate action should be taken against it.

        The Deputy Chief Minister also urged the Director General of Fire and Emergency Services to prepare an estimate for the repair of dilapidated buildings within the department. Additionally, he directed the purchase of 25 red Boleros for all districts to ensure timely response and prevention of untoward incidents by fire brigade personnel.

        Present at the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Varsha Khangwal, Technical Deputy Director, Sh. Gulshan Kalra, Hero CSR Senior Manager, Sh. Rakesh Patel, and other dignitaries.

Special Mutation Camps Make record: Punjab Revenue Department registers 31538 mutation cases in one day: Jimpa

          On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann special camps were held on Saturday in all Tehsils and Sub-Tehsils across the State to resolve the pending cases of mutation.

 Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that these camps got massive response of people as more than 31538 pending mutation cases were resolved in these camps. This is the new record that in a single day such a large number of mutation cases were sorted out, said Jimpa adding that he personally visited the camp sites at Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Phillaur, Ludhiana West, Ludhiana East and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Tehsils to inspect the  progress. He also interacted with the people to inspect the functioning of camps. He said that people also brought various petty problems being faced by them in offices and he directed the officials on the spot to resolve all said issues within short span of time.

Giving information about the special camps, the Minister said people got their pending mutations done on the spot. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government is making all out efforts to minimise the hassle of people by providing requisite services in offices. He also urged the people if they face any issue for getting their works done in revenue office at any level they should WhatsApp their written complaint on helpline no. 8184900002 while the NRIs could send complaints on given number 9464100168.

 Pertinently, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is making surprise visits in Tehsil Offices to inspect the functioning of revenue offices so people should not face any problem.

 The Minister also urged that people should not hesitate to register complaint against any officials, in case of demanded bribe, so that requisite action could ne initiate to maintain transparent administration across the state.

 As per reports received maximum mutations were done in Ludhiana districts with 6265 number followed by Gurdaspur with 2806 mutations. Similarly as many as 1818 cases of mutations were done in district Patiala, 2686 in Hoshiarpur, 883 in Kapurthala, 667 in Fathegarh Sahib, 693 in Taran Tarn, 1043 in Bathinda, 525 in Faridkot, 971 in Ferozpur, 838 in Moga, 1718 in Jalandhar,  646 in Mansa, 1324 in Amritsar, 537 in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, 814 in Pathankot, 768 in Sri Mukatsar Sahib, 1943 in Shahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 567 in Barnala, 1326 in Roopnagar, 713 in Malerkotla, 1093 in Sangrur and 894 mutations were done in Fazilka district.

Arshdeep Kaur selected for pre-commission training at air force academy

Continuing in its march to transform girls of Punjab into ‘Women of Substance’, one more Lady Cadet of Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) for Girls, SAS Nagar (Mohali) has been selected for pre-commission training at the premier Indian Air Force Academy, Dundigal. The training for the course will commence at the academy from January 2024 onwards.

          The selected Lady Cadet Arshdeep Kaur hails from Khamano in district Fatehgarh Sahib and her  father Mr. Daljinder Pal Singh runs a private business.

          Congratulating the daughter of Punjab for her selection in the prestigious Air Force Academy, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr Aman Arora reiterated the commitment of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government to enable girls from the state to become commissioned officers in the Armed Forces, while concurrently pursuing their education.

          Expressing contentment over the selection of the lady cadet, the Director of Mai Bhago AFPI Major General Jasbir Singh Sandhu, AVSM (Retd.) extended his best wishes to the lady cadet for her bright future ahead in defence services.

No parade of Republic Day in stadiums with synthetic track: Announce Punjab CM

 Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday announced that no parade of Republic Day will be held in any ground, with synthetic track, across the state.

 In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister said that during the functions to commemorate Republic Day on January 26, the parades will be organised only on the grounds or stadiums without synthetic athletic tracks. He said that during the parade a number of tableaus and other events are organised to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the state and country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said said that during the functions the movement of vehicles and other machinery during the parade cause damage to the track.

 The Chief Minister further said that the  damage caused to track causes lot of inconvenience to the players which is not justifiable. He said that to avoid this the state government has consciously taken a decision to not hold the Republic Day parade in any stadium with the synthetic parade. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it will help in promotion of sporting activity in the state.

 The Chief Minister said that as per this only the function slated to be held at Ludhiana on Republic Day will also be held at the PAU. He said that the state government is committed for promotion of sports in the state and any sort of loss to players or sporting infrastructure is unimaginable. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Punjab government is committed to perpetuate the glorious legacy of the state to the coming generations and these functions will be organised with this spirit only.

Vigilance Bureau arrests improvement trust accountant for taking Rs 8 lakh bribe

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Saturday, has arrested Vishal Sharma, a resident of Amritsar, posted as Accountant, Amritsar Improvement Trust (AIT), for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8 lakh. In this case accused  AIT law officer Gautam Majithia, a resident of Green Field, Majitha Road, Amritsar, has already been arrested.

          Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the VB said the above mentioned accountant and law officer of AIT have been arrested on the complaint of Jatinder Singh, a resident of Partap Avenue, Amritsar who have lodged a complaint on the Chief Minister’s Anti Corruption Action Line in this regard.

          Giving more details he added that the complainant has alleged in his online complaint that the above said law officer and accountant had taken Rs  8 lakh in lieu of release of 20 percent compensation more for acquisition of his land on the directions of district court amounting to Rs 20 lakh. The complainant has recorded the conversation with the above said advocate regarding payment of bribe money which was submitted to the VB as an evidence.

          The spokesperson informed that during the investigation of this case the said law officer has revealed that he had handed over cheques to accountant Vishal Sharma, amounting to Rs 8 lakh, which was proved to be true as it was recorded in the audio-video conversation with the complainant. In addition to this, the accountant has signed the estimate for providing enhanced compensation to the complainant which justified the in connivance of both the accused for taking bribe money from the complainant.

          The spokesperson informed that on the basis of probe, the VB range Amritsar has also arrested the said co-accused accountant after finding him guilty for taking a bribe of Rs 8 lakh from the complainant. Further investigation in this case was under progress.
