Kejriwal lauds CM Mann for dedicatedly working to ameliorate the sufferings of people

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that the much hyped double engine governments in several states have proved to be a disaster whereas new engine government in Punjab is bringing revolutionary changes in system.

Addressing the gathering during Sarkar Sannatkaar milni here today, the Delhi Chief Minister said that double engine government was mere phraseology (Jumla) to befool people whereas this new engine government is a commitment to ensure well being of every section of society. He said that major projects worths crores of rupees are being introduced for inclusive development of industries in Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, state government has been working tirelessly  to revamp the system and bring revolutionary reform in the state.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that the double engine government had only befooled the people and plundered government money. He said that this money was siphoned off to give benefits to the friends of the both the engines much to dismay of common man. However, Arvind Kejriwal asserted that Punjab government is working round-the-clock for the people to fulfill all its guarantees made during poll campaigns.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that Punjab is now witnessing reverse immigration trend of industries due to strenuous efforts put by the CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that 450 industrial units have migrated from other states to set up their units in Punjab and it is a testimony to the fact that people have faith in the working of Punjab government particularly the Chief Minister. Arvind Kejriwal said that the state government is making strenuous efforts for progress of the state and prosperity of its people.

The Delhi Chief Minister bemoaned that the previous governments in the state were atrocious, tyrannical and even extortionist as they didn’t allow the industrialists to work properly.  He said that the Punjab government has already received over Rs 50,000 crore  investment which will provide 2.86 lakh employment to youth of the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that 2.75 lakh MSMEs had  been registered by Punjab which is highest so far in the country.

The Delhi Chief Minister reiterated that Bhagwant Mann is his younger brother and he is proud of him for making best efforts to restore pristine glory of the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that during floods, Mann took stock of situation by going on grassroots through boats and ensured relief to them. He said that earlier, CMs used to ferry helicopters to do same practice. He exhorted the industrialists that Without them Punjab cannot grow and with them the government will take state to new heights.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that sector-wise task force of industrialists will be formed to seek their suggestions and implement it to ensure that they don’t face any hardship in running their business in the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that this milni is a step forward towards resolving all the issues faced by industrialists. He said that Punjabis are lucky to get Bhagwant Singh Mann as its Chief Minister, who has been working diligently for the Punjab.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that Bhagwant Singh Mann is working overtime for welfare of Punjabis. He said that the Chief Minister is moving in every nook and corner of the state to solve the issues faced by Punjabis. He said that the this milni is not to seek votes but to address the problems of industrialists.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that the aim of these events are to expand the local industry of the state by 10 folds. Arvind Kejriwal said that with the support of the state government, the agenda of industrialists will help in giving a boost to the industry in the state. He said that every effort will be made to develop Punjab as a front ranking state in country.

Centre gives permission to purchase 2.5 lakh metric tons of millet at MSP, says Hry CM

Giving a big relief to the farmers, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government will give compensation at the rate of Rs 7000 per acre to the farmers who have to re-sow paddy again due to heavy rains and floods during July 2023.

        The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference here today. Mines and Geology Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma and Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta were present on this occasion.

        He said that the government has launched the e-Kshatipoorti portal to compensate for the loss of property, livestock or human loss due to rains, floods and riots. Applications have been invited from people for details of the loss. After verification by the regional officers of the Revenue Department, compensation will be paid through DBT as per the prescribed norms.

        He said that the government has also run the Mera Paani – Meri Virasat Scheme, under which an incentive amount of Rs 7000 per acre is given to the farmers who grow other crops instead of paddy. Therefore, those farmers whose paddy has been affected due to rain and flood and who have resown any other crop in place of paddy will be given money under this scheme.

        Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the Mera Pani-Meri Virasat scheme, the government has appealed to the farmers to cultivate other crops instead of paddy so that water can be conserved. This scheme is voluntary and the government has set a target of 1 lakh acres of area every year.

        Answering another question, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the government closely monitoring the situation on the price of millet and accordingly the state government will give money to the farmers under the Bhavantar Bharpayee Scheme. Earlier too, the government has given Rs 600 and Rs 450 Bhavantar to the farmers under the Bhavantar Bharpai. However, now the Central Government has given permission to purchase 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of millet at MSP.

Construction of Northern Bypass of Pataudi town will ease traffic congestion from the city, says Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has urged the Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari for the construction of Northern Bypass of Pataudi town for completion of ring road around Pataudi town under Bharatmala Pariyojna.

        In a demi official letter, the Chief Minister has stated that since there is no projected bypass on the Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi-Patauda route, traffic continues to clog the Patauda town. Considering the importance of Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi-Patauda which connects several important National Highways such as Delhi-Agra (NH-2), Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Gurugram-Jaipur (NH-48), Gurugram- Rewari (NH-352W) and Rohtak-Rewari (NH-352), the construction of bypass of Pataudi town in Northern direction is a need of the hour.

        The Chief Minister further informed that keeping in view the huge economic benefit and the traffic decongestion, the government of Haryana has decided to bear 50% cost of land acquisition and Utility Shifting.

        He said that the Southern Bypass has already been constructed by NHAI as part of 4-laning project of Gurugram-Pataudi-Patauda road (NH-352W) which has significantly facilitated the movement of National Highway traffic away from the town. He added that the complete Bharatmala Pariyojna would reduce travel time and distance while ensuring holistic development and accelerating state growth.

Haryana Government to set up IOC retail outlets/fuel stations pump at 11 sites namely Nuh, Faridabad Bhiwani, Sirsa, Hisar-1, Jind, Narnaul, Karnal, Yamunanagar, Sonipat and Ambala

After the successful implementation of the pilot project of establishing IOC petrol pump at District Jail Kurukshetra, the government of Haryana has decided to set up IOC retail outlets/fuel stations pump in the 11 jails of Haryana. The main aim of setting up these retail outlets was to provide support in the social rehabilitation of prisoners.

        Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today accorded approval for setting up the IOC pumps at Jails in Nuh, Faridabad Bhiwani, Sirsa, Hisar-1, Jind, Narnaul, Karnal, Yamunanagar, Sonipat and Ambala.

        An official spokesperson said that prior to this, the government of Haryana has undertaken a pilot project in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation namely Jail Filling Station, Kurukshetra which has grossed huge success and also become an ideal model for the other states to follow. Jail department has trained 200 inmates for managing the filling stations.

        Spokesperson further said that the Jail Filling Station, Kurukshetra has incurred a gross income of around Rs. 1.18 crore from May 31, 2022 to May 31, 2023.

        With this pilot project, a large number of jail inmates have learnt the nuances of the actually operating the Jail Filling Station like operating the disbursing unit, receiving digital payments, accounting procedures, dealing with customers, cash handling, ensuring security of the Filling Station, marketing, banking and the managerial aspects.

        He further stated that this unique initiative has greatly reduced the mental stress of jail inmates and has boosted their self- confidence which has also created a positive impact on their behaviour. He said that this will help them to become a better citizen as they will not feel job insecurity after getting released from jail.

Haryana Chief Minister launches ‘Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana Portal’, aiming to provide homes for the EWSs

Manohar Lal unveiled the portal for the Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana, a visionary initiative aimed at ensuring that every economically weaker section has a roof over their heads.         Speaking at a press conference here today, the Chief Minister said that, inspired by the positive outcomes of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana initiated by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the government has taken a resolute stance to guarantee housing for every family. This commitment has led to the launch of the Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana portal. This portal will facilitate applications from economically weaker families with an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh who are in need of housing.

        He said that under this scheme, flats would be built in Panchkula, Gurugram, Sonipat and Faridabad, while other cities would offer both plot and flat options. Previous regime left massive debt; BJP government works to restore and improve systems, says CM

Haryana Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal while highlighting the financial challenges left behind by the previous state government revealed that the previous reign had left a substantial debt running into thousands of crores of rupees on various government departments.

He was addressing a press conference here today.  On this occasion, Mines and Geology Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma and Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta were present.

        Highlighting the tireless efforts of the present BJP government in revitalizing various departments and putting them back on a sustainable path, Chief Minister disclosed that the Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) was burdened with an outstanding of Rs 61,000 crore, with Rs 42,000 crore owed to farmers and Rs 19,000 crore as bank debt. Under the leadership of the current administration, substantial progress has been made in resolving these financial burdens. Of the Rs. 42,000 crore owed to farmers, the HSVP has successfully repaid Rs. 36,000 crore, with only Rs. 6,000 crore left to settle. Similarly, the bank loans of Rs 19,000 crore have been significantly reduced to Rs 7,000 crore with Rs 12,000 crore already paid.

        The Chief Minister said that massive liabilities were also inherited in departments like Power and HSIIDC. Without prompt action by the present government, these departments would have faced bankruptcy. He assured that the government is committed to acting in the best interests of the state.

Regarding the ongoing investigation into Congress MLA Maman Khan, the Chief Minister said that the matter is being actively pursued by the police. He emphasized that strict action will be taken against any individuals found guilty, with no exceptions.

In response to a question about the “One Nation-One Election” initiative, the Chief Minister expressed support for the plan. He said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi had come with the idea and more or less political parties were in agreement. He affirmed the readiness of the state government to participate whenever the process is initiated.

In response to a query about the rise in cybercrime, Sh Manohar Lal revealed that Jamtara and Punhana were major centers of cybercrime in the country. In response, the Haryana Police formulated a comprehensive plan that involved a force of 5000 officers and personnel which conducted simultaneous raids in 14 villages, resulting in numerous arrests. He expressed hope that cybercrime would not thrive in the Punhana area again. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to combating cybercrime, including the establishment of new cyber police stations and cyber desks within existing police stations.

400 unauthorized colonies will be regularised in the next 2 months

Haryana, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is continually striving to provide essential necessities to its citizens. In this regard, with the aim of providing shelter to the underprivileged, the government has formulated a plan under which 1 lakh impoverished individuals will be provided with homes.

The Chief Minister was addressing the programme organised at Seva Sadhana Kendra Pattikalyana located in Samalkha, Panipat late on Monday evening.

Under this initiative, the SVAMITVA Yojana, rural residents are granted proprietary rights to their properties, effectively eliminating Lal Dora restrictions in villages. In urban areas, approximately 4,000 individuals have already benefited from the Urban SVAMITVA Yojana, Additionally, the government has regularised 450 unauthorised colonies, and 400 more such colonies will be regularised in the next 2 months.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the government is dedicated to extending the benefits of various schemes to eligible citizens. These initiatives encompass a range of welfare programmes, from pension schemes, and student scholarships to the Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojna and housing projects, all designed to ensure the well-being of the population.

The Chief Minister further stated that the inception of the PPP has streamlined the distribution of essential resources like ration cards and pensions to citizens from the comfort of their homes. The government has also taken strong measures to curb corruption in government jobs, thereby promoting transparency and fairness.

70,000 solar tube well connections will be given to farmers at 75 percent subsidy, says Hry Chief Minister

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is committed to the well-being of farmers and various agricultural initiatives has been started. He said that the present state government has taken numerous significant steps for efficient irrigation management, including the distribution of 50,000 solar tube well connections with a 75 percent subsidy this year.

The government has set an ambitious target to provide 70,000 farmers with solar tube well connections at a 75 percent subsidy next year, shared the Chief Minister while speaking as the chief guest at an event held at Sadhna Kendra in Jhinjholi village, Sonipat, late Monday evening.

Sh. Manohar Lal also highlighted the farmer-friendly approach of the present state government. Haryana stands as the only state in the country to procure 15 to 16 crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP). The government’s efforts also focus on bolstering farmers’ financial stability through innovative programs such as the Fasal Bima Yojana, Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana, and Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana, asserted the Chief Minister.

He said that the government has displayed its commitment to the welfare of farmers further by providing assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of farmers who die while working in the field. Financial support is also extended to farmers injured during agricultural activities. In a recent decision, the Haryana government has decided to give financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who meet unfortunate accidents due to stray animals, shared the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of previous governments, citizens had to make arduous trips to Chandigarh to address their concerns and avail of government services. However, the present government has changed this practice, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the citizens’ doorsteps. Today, people no longer need to visit the Chief Minister’s office, instead, the government actively engages with the public through programs like Jan Samvad to address their issues, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

He further informed that concerned about the health of the citizens, the Haryana government has expanded the scope of Ayushman Bharat Chirayu Yojana. Now, families in the state with annual incomes ranging from Rs 1.80 to Rs 3 lakh can avail of the scheme’s benefits. Under the Ayushman Bharat Chirayu Scheme, health cards will be issued free of charge to families with income up to Rs 1.80 lakh, informed the Chief Minister.

He said that families with incomes up to Rs 3 lakh will contribute Rs 1500 per year per family to access health cards. This initiative is set to benefit 38 lakh families in the state.

The Chief Minister said that in a move to improve the conditions of rural Chowkidar, the state government has raised their monthly honararium to Rs 11,000 and has also decided to provide Rs 5 lakh financial assistance to their families in the unfortunate event of their demise. Additionally, Chowkidars will receive a lump sum benefit of Rs 2 lakh upon retirement, mirroring the benefits provided to Anganwadi workers.

He further highlighted the government’s commitment to eliminating corruption in job recruitment processes, resulting in greater transparency in government jobs. He said that this transparent system has enabled individuals from diverse backgrounds to secure government employment based on their qualifications. The state is actively organizing Rozgar Melas to offer job opportunities to the youth, shared Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that through the Parivar Pehchan Patra, the state government has extended the benefits of government schemes to eligible individuals. Furthermore, Antyodaya Melas have been organized under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan schemes to uplift extremely poor families in the state.

Eligible individuals receive government scheme benefits instantly at these fairs, and 50,000 people have been provided loans to pursue self-employment and other ventures. The government’s streamlined approach to policies and schemes in industrial areas has propelled the state towards rapid development, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

On this occasion, MP, Sh. Ramesh Kaushik, MLAs, Sh. Mohan Lal Badoli, Dr. Krishan Lal Middha and other dignitaries were also present.

Renowned actress Mita Vashisth appointed Chairperson of Haryana’s Film and Entertainment Policy Governing Council

Haryana Government has appointed renowned film actress Ms. Mita Vashisth as the Chairperson of the Governing Council established to oversee the implementation of the Haryana Film and Entertainment Policy. The position of Chairperson has become vacant due to the untimely demise of the esteemed director, producer, and actor Sh. Satish Kaushik, who was initially appointed as the first Chairman of the Governing Council by the State Government.

Ms. Mita Vashisth brings a wealth of experience to this prestigious role, having acted in approximately forty-three films, numerous television serials, web series, and theatre productions. Her expertise extends beyond the screen, as she has also served as visiting faculty at esteemed institutions such as the National School of Drama (NSD), National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), National Institute of Design (NID), Whistling Woods International (WWI), and held the position of Head of Department – Acting at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

In addition, Administrative Secretary of the Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department would be Co-Chairman of the Council and the Director General of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department as the Member Secretary.

Other members of the Governing Council included Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department, Administrative Secretary Art and Cultural Affairs Department, Vice-Chancellor, State University of Performing and Visual Art, Rohtak or his representative, Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Haryana and seven non-official nominees of the State Government.

The primary functions of the Governing Council will encompass sanctioning projects and releasing funds in accordance with the Haryana Film and Entertainment Policy. Moreover, the Council will serve as an advisory body, offering guidance to the Executive Committee in the effective implementation of the policy’s provisions, he added.

Irrigation & Water Resources Department Haryana organizes State Level Training of line departments under Atal Bhujal Yojna

Today Irrigation & Water Resources Department Haryana organised a State Level Training of line departments under Atal Bhujal Yojna at Red Bishop Complex, Sector-1, Panchkula, Haryana. The training was inaugurated by Engineer-In-Chief (EIC), Irrigation & Water Resources Department Haryana, Dr. Satbir Singh Kadian. More than 50 Officers/officials from line departments i.e., Forest Department, Haryana, Pond and Waste Water Management Authority, Horticulture Department Haryana, CGWB , MICADA, Public Health Engineering Department Haryana, Development & Panchayats Department Haryana, Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Department Haryana, I&WRD Haryana attended the training.

During the inaugural speech, Dr Kadian put a global picture of ground water status, availability and management, he gave best practices of Mexico, Israel, Singapore, etc. regarding efficient use of water resources. He has also highlighted the achievements maid by the department under “Mera Panni Meri Virasat” campaign. He has expressed his serious concerned to stop water wastage, especially in rural areas and promoted judicially use of ground water.

Dr. Satbir Singh Kadian shared that Atal Bhujal Yojana is a groundwater management scheme launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi on the 95th birth anniversary of Hon’ble former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on 25th December 2019. It is one of the flagship programmes of Govt. of India. The purpose of the scheme is to arrest the decline in groundwater levels and improve groundwater management by involving communities and line departments. Further, he shared that the main objective of this training is to sensitize the Government officials about Atal Bhujal Yojna, scope of convergence and role & responsibilities of line departments to achieve measurable outcomes under this scheme. He requested all the departments to understand the convergence matrix and extend best possible support for making this scheme a grand success in the State of Haryana. He put emphasis that everyone is responsible for water management and we should at as ambassador for this. Together we can do ground water management with the positive support of line departments present in this state level workshop.

Er. Pramod Jain, Superintending Engineer Atal Bhujal Yojana welcomed the Chief Gust Dr Satbir Singh Kadian and all the officers from the line departments and shared the objectives of State Level Training program briefly.

Er Mandeep, Executive Engineer, Atal Bhujal Yojana Haryana briefed about the status, efforts and progress made under Atal Bhujal Yojana till date and overall outlay of Atal Bhujal Yojana in the state. He said we are working together with the support of line departments and community participation.

During the first half, topics such as objectives of Atal Bhujal Yojana, Best Practices, Water Security Plan and Science of Watershed etc. were discussed whereas, in the post lunch session topics like Behaviour Change Communication, Convergence & Inter Departmental Coordination etc. were discussed in detail. During these sessions, participants were engaged by organizing various interactive/group activities.
