Emphasis being laid to provide basic education to students through ‘learning via play’ in Hry

Haryana School Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that under the new education policy, emphasis is being laid that students should get basic education through ‘learning via play’, so that their foundation becomes strong. Sh. Kanwar Pal said that this policy is drawing commendable results.The School Education Minister was speaking at the state level public participation conference organized under Nipun Haryana programme at Dr. Mangal Sain Auditorium in Karnal today.Talking to the media persons after the programme, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that some students are promoted to higher classes but face difficulties in studies due to weak basics. Students are not able to acquire the knowledge which should have been acquainted in the first, second and fifth grade.Keeping this problem in mind, under the new education policy, the Government of India has launched the Nipun Bharat programme. Under this, emphasis has been laid on the subjects of Mathematics and Hindi. Emphasis is being laid on teaching children through ‘learning via play’. Haryana has also added English subjects in this master’s programme. Under this, teachers are emphasizing on giving knowledge of Mathematics, English and Hindi to the students in new creative ways.School Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that there was a time when children used to memorize tables from 2 to 20, but now teachers have started working towards teaching children in a creative way which is more pragmatic and has the highest recall value.The School Education Minister also visited the exhibition organized by the teachers of different districts in the state level public participation conference to provide education in a creative way.During this, he took information from the teachers about their different models and appreciated the efforts of the teachers. He said that it is very good to make such models. Children will learn quickly from this. Our teachers are very hardworking, more good results will come out in the coming time.Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the students who remain weak in class 1st, 2nd and 5th lack basics which affect their further classes. In such a situation, if students are given the right assistance in a small class, then their base can be made strong.On this occasion, the Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Anshaj Singh, along with District Education Officers of the districts, District Elementary Education Officers were present. 

Intensive campaign launched by Haryana Power Utilities to control power theft

 Haryana Power Utilites launched an intensive campaign to control power theft in the state. A total of 264 teams of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) detected 1144 power theft cases of 2320 KW load and a fine of about Rs 2.90 crore was imposed accordingly.Managing Director of UHBVN, Dr. Saket Kumar shared the details of the campaign, stating that it involved comprehensive inspections conducted throughout the state by the Nigam. The Nigam, with the assistance of law enforcement authorities, took strong measures against individuals involved in power theft by carrying out coordinated raids across all districts of the state . He further said that a total of 287 teams of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam caught 1511 power thefts of 3489 KW load and imposed a fine of about Rs 6.30 crore.

DAYALU Yojana, launched by the Haryana Government with the aim of providing socio-financial security to Antyodaya families, is proving to be a boon.The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal who always aims to reach out to the last mile citizen in the spirit of Antyodaya, today digitally transferred Rs. 6.36 crore into the accounts of 223 beneficiaries of Antyodaya families having annual income of upto Rs. 1.80 lakhs in case of death or disability (more than 70 percent) of their family members.Taking yet another pivotal decision for the families covered under DAYALU Yojana, the Chief Minister, in the meeting only directed the officers to change the age category, so as to ensure that maximum families can be benefitted.As per the decision, now financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh will be given for age over 25 years upto 45 years. Earlier the assistance was for age over 25 years upto 40 years. A similar change has been made in the age category of for the age of above 40 years upto the age of 60 years. Now the assistance of Rs. 3 lakh, instead of Rs. 2 lakh will be given for age of above 45 years upto the age of 60 years.The decision has been taken after Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij suggested increasing the amount of assistance being given to those who are above 40 and 60 years.School Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal and Higher Education Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma also remained present on the occasion.At present, this scheme provides assistance which would vary depending on the age of the person at the time of death or permanent disability. The assistance of Rs.1 lakh upto the age of 6 years, Rs. 2 lakh above the age of 6 years upto the age of 18 years, Rs. 3 lakh for age above 18 years upto 25 years, Rs. 5 lakh for age over 25 years upto 40 years and Rs. 2 lakh for the age of above 40 years upto the age of 60 years.This scheme also includes the amount received under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and other insurance schemes.The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the economic and social upliftment of Antyodaya. He said that he considers the entire Haryana as his own family. DAYALU Yojana launched by the state government is a part of the series of initiatives taken by the state government for providing several kinds of financial relief to such families, said Sh. Manohar Lal.Assistance amount is provided as per PPP dataUnder the DAYALU Yojana, on the basis of the PPP verified data, assistance is provided in case of death or disability (more than 70 percent) in respect of a member of a family having an annual income of upto Rs.1.80 lakh. The Government has established a trust namely Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas to consolidate existing insurance schemes, ensure standardized and simplified claims processing and provide direct benefits to the people.Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ashwini Kumar Choubey met the Home and Health Minister Anil Vij at his residence today at Ambala. Home and Health Minister Anil Vij welcomed the Minister of State by giving a bouquet.        After this, Minister of State for Food and Public Distribution Ashwini Kumar Choubey along with Home and Health Minister Anil Vij visited the Shaheed Smarak related to the revolution of 1857 being built on 22 acres on the Ambala-Delhi National Highway.  Union Minister of State Ashwini Kumar Choubey, after visiting the Shaheed Smarak, congratulated Haryana’s Home and Health Minister Anil Vij for making this Shaheed Smarak and praised Anil Vij. This Smarak world’s captivating image is about to be established.  In the coming days, the Prime Minister of the country will inaugurate it on the invitation of Home and Health Minister Anil Vij.  He said that the Shaheed Smarak to be built here is a message to the world and the complete depiction of the revolution of 1857 will be shown here.  The construction of this Shaheed Smarak here will send a strong message across the world, he added.        He said that it is a matter of happiness for everyone to have this Shaheed Smarak in the Amrit times of independence.  He said that the history related to the revolution of 1857 would be seen in this Shaheed Smarak.  Praising Home and Health Minister Anil Vij on the occasion, he said that this Shaheed Smarak is being built according to his vision.  This heritage will not only be for Ambala but for the whole country and the world.  He also said that this Shaheed Smarak, built with the special efforts of Home and Health Minister Anil Vij, will be an immortal impression.  People from all over the world will come here for tourism.  He also said that bread and lotus were sent during the 1857 revolution (at that time of independence), after the construction of this memorial, such a beautiful sight will be seen.Home Minister Anil Vij gave information regarding the Shaheed SmarakEarlier, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij gave detailed information about the Shaheed Smarak to the Union Minister of State.  He said that the first spark of 1857 revolution had arisen from Ambala.  In the memory of the unsung heroes of the freedom struggle, work is being done to build a Shaheed Smarak here.  He also said that here the details and history of the freedom struggle will be shown in three phases.  In the first phase, the contribution of Ambala in the freedom struggle will be shown.  The contribution of Haryana in the second phase and India’s contribution in the third phase will be shown.  Along with this, there will also be a helipad facility and  Tourists from the country and abroad will come here to see this Shaheed Smarak, he said.        On this occasion, he also directed the officials of the Public Works Department to speed up the works related to civil works so that the work of interior work/art work could be started.  He also said that he will soon re-examine the Shaheed Smarak and check the reality of the work being done related to the Shaheed Smarak.On this occasion, SDM Ambala Cantonment Satindra Siwach, BJP District President Rajesh Bataura, Divisional President Ajay Parashar, Ashish Gulati, Abhikant Vats, Krishna Rana, Executive Engineer Rajkumar along with concerned officers were present. 

Chairman HBPE, Barala urges prompt creation of new posts for smooth functioning of Public Enterprises

Chairman of the Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mr. Subhash Barala emphasized the need to promptly create new posts to ensure the smooth functioning of Public Enterprises. Presiding over the Standing Committee meeting here today, Mr. Barala urged the officers to address the other requirements of employees, stating that timely increments and benefits would lead to their enhanced performance.In the meeting a proposal was discussed to elevate the position of Personal Assistant to Private Secretary within the “Haryana Rural Development Fund Administration Board.” Furthermore, the creation of new posts within the ethanol plant being established in Shahabad, Kurukshetra district, under the “Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited” was also deliberated. Mr. Barala emphasized the importance of operating the plant with modern technology to ensure its profitability.The meeting also delved into various matters, including the pay scale of Junior Scientists at the “Haryana Agro Research and Development Centre, Murthal,” the extension of the Chief Engineer of NCR Region of ” Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam,” and the formulation of service rules for the positions of Chief Environmental Engineer and Chief Scientific Officer at the “Haryana State Pollution Control Board.”Mr. Barala encouraged the officers to approach these issues with a positive mindset and make decisions accordingly.The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, ACS, Finance, Mr. Anurag Rastogi, ACS, Environment, Forest, and Wildlife, Mr. Vineet Garg, Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd., Mr. Mohammed Shayin and other senior officers. 

No employee and officer will be denied their rightful entitlements like promotion or increment’

Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Chairman, Sh. Subhash Barala said that no employee and officer will be denied their rightful entitlements like promotion or increment.He was presiding over the Standing Committee meeting of the Bureau at his office here today. Under his chairmanship, it was discussed to promote the Personal Assistant to the post of Private Secretary related to “Haryana Rural Development Fund Administration Board”. Apart from this, while discussing the creation of new posts in the ethanol plant being set up at Shahabad in Kurukshetra district under the “Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited”, he said that this plant should be made profitable by running it with the assistance of the latest technology.Pay Scale of Junior Scientist in “Haryana Agro Research & Development Centre, Murthal”, Extension to Chief-Engineer for NCR Region of “Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited” and “Haryana State Pollution Control Board” along with the issues of framing service rules for the post of Chief Environmental Engineer and Chief Scientific Officer was also discussed in detail.Sh. New policy soon for construction of boundary walls, other works in vegetable markets across state, announces Chief Minister

IEP Chandigarh, June 13

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today announced that a new policy will be formulated for construction and repair of boundary walls, sheds, gates and cleaning arrangements, etc, in vegetable markets across the state. Under this, a committee will be formed with arhtiyas as part of it. Some amount will be made available to the committee from the market fees, so that the committee can get the works of the market done at its own level.

The Chief Minister was addressing the ‘Vyapari Sammelan’ organized at Kaithal through video conferencing here today. HAFED Chairman, Sh. Kailash Bhagat, MLA Sh. Subhash Sudha and other dignitaries were present in the programme.

Market fee, HRDF rate will be done outright in vegetable market

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the market fee and HRDF rate to be charged in vegetable markets across the state will now be fixed outright. The bill to amend the rules related to this has been passed by the Vidhan Sabha. At present, the rate of two percent market fee and two percent HRDF is applicable. Considering the demand of the arhtiyas, the government has decided to do it outright, he added.

He said that shops in Kaithal’s Transport Nagar were sold to traders as per the policy by the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran; however today traders are not able to sell their shops further due to some terms and conditions in the policy. “Realizing the difficulty of the traders, the government has decided that a new policy will be formulated for such traders and they will be given relaxation in the rules, so that they will be able to sell their shops,” he added.

Government warehouses will be shifted out of the city

The Chief Minister said that a policy is also being formulated to shift government warehouses built in cities across the state, outside the city. He also announced the extension of the ‘Vivadon ka Samadhan’ Yojana for a period of one year to settle the ongoing disputes related to shops in mandis.

He said that the state government has already announced to give 1.25 percent handling charges to the arhtiyas on the purchase of crops done by NAFED. “If still there is any difficulty, this decision will be implemented after taking up the matter with NAFED. The handling charges will definitely be given to the arhtiyas,” he added.

Traders backbone of economy, government running various schemes for their welfare

The Chief Minister said that the traders are the backbone of the economy. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the Central Government has launched various schemes for the welfare of traders. “The present state government is also committed to the welfare of the traders. To resolve their grievances, the state government has also constituted the Traders Welfare Board. In addition, insurance cover is provided to traders under the Mukhya Mantri Vyapari Samuhik Niji Durghatna Bima Yojana,” he added.

He said that under the ‘Laghu Vyapari Mandhan Yojana’ launched by the Central Government, an annual assistance of Rs 6,000 is provided to small traders. Not only this, under the PM-SVANidhi scheme, loans ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 1 lakh are given to street vendors, he added.

Our government ended Inspector Raj, CM

Sh. Manohar Lal said that during the tenure of the previous government, traders used to face a lot of trouble. “But our government did the work of ending the Inspector Raj. The state government has formulated several policies to create a business environment in the state,” he said.

He said that when GST was implemented in the country, there were many doubts in the minds of traders. “The state government, after talking to the traders, understood their problems and simplified the GST process. Today traders are very happy with this system,” he said, adding that the present government is duty-bound for the welfare of farmers, traders, laborers and all other sections.

Haryana Skill Development Department invites online applications for admissions in engineering and non-engineering trades in ITIs for 2023-24

The Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Department today announced the commencement of online applications for admissions for the session 2023-24 in a wide range of engineering and non-engineering trades. These courses are offered by both state and private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) located in the state. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the department’s website at https://admissions.itiharyana.gov.in/ before the deadline of June 21, 2023.

Providing details about the admission process, an official spokesperson said that the department has initiated the admission process for approved seats in the state industrial training institutes. To access comprehensive guidelines, a detailed prospectus containing information about the admission process, a list of institutions, and institute-wise seat availability is accessible on the department’s website.

The spokesperson further added that updates regarding merit lists and seat allotments at various stages of the admission process will be communicated through the admission website. Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their original educational qualification certificates, reservation documents, proof of permanent residency, and other necessary documents as specified in the admission form. It is mandatory for applicants to possess a personal email ID, mobile number, Parivar Pehchan Patra, and Aadhaar number in order to be eligible for admission.

Additional Charges assigned to two IAS Officers

The Haryana Government has assigned additional charge to two IAS officers with immediate effect.Mr. Vikram, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of Faridabad Smart City Ltd., Faridabad, has been given the additional charge of Deputy Commissioner, Palwal during the leave period of Ms. Neha Singh.Similarly, Mr. Ayush Sinha, Additional Deputy Commissioner cum District Citizen Resources Information Officer, Yamunanagar, District Municipal Commissioner, Yamunanagar, and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar, will be taking over the duties of Deputy Commissioner of Yamunanagar during the leave period of Mr. Rahul Hooda.
