State Level Good Governance programme held in Panchkula

While marking the celebrations of Good Governance Day, on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and great freedom fighter Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya  here today, Haryana Chief Minister, today gave 22 Good Governance awards to various departments for playing an instrumental role in turning the dream of ‘Digital Haryana’ into reality. The Chief Minister will felicitate 118 officers and employees for simplifying work through digital medium during government service in various departments. These include ‘State Level Awards’ and ‘State Flagship Scheme Awards’ for Good Governance.

        The awardees were honoured during a state-level programme held today in Panchkula for bringing in digital reforms in their respective departments and for making the delivery of citizen-centric services to the people in a time-bound and hassle-free manner. The list of awardees is as follows:

Parivar Pehchan Patra

        The Haryana Parivar Pehchan Act, 2021 has been notified on September 6, 2021. PPP is the tool for achieving ‘Paperless’ and ‘faceless’ proactive service delivery to citizens. As of December 16, 2022, over 71.89 lakh families consisting of over 2.85 crore citizens have updated their data in PPP. Nearly 450 schemes, subsidies and Government services have currently been linked with PPP. The service for the proactive generation of Caste and Income Certificate by the citizen is already operational along with the proactive delivery of Old Age pension.

E-Fasal Kshatipurti

E-Fasal Kshatipurti has been rolled out on a pilot basis for providing relief to the farmers for crop damage due to rainfall in the month of September- October 2022. E-Fasal Kshatipurti will be implemented for crop loss application, verification, assessment and compensation to the farmers from Rabi 2023 (except in case of crop insurance) in the entire State. The system is available on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal.

HKRNL

        Ending the age-old outsourcing deployment system, the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRNL) was set up by the Government to provide eligible manpower for contractual deployment in a transparent manner. As per the data, HKRNL disbursed salaries of around Rs. 800 Cr. directly in the bank accounts of the deployed manpower. Further, more than 70,000 deployed manpower are now availing benefits of EPF and ESI as their premiums are getting credited through an online automated payroll system.

Auto Appeal System

The Auto Appeal System (AAS) is playing a pivotal role in ensuring good governance as it is benefitting the total population of Haryana and beyond as well. As on December 15, 2022, 372 services of 32 entities are on-boarded on AAS. 4,43,263 appeals have been raised to the First Grievance Redressal Authority (FGRA), Second Grievance Redressal Authority (SGRA) and Right to Service Commission (RTSC) out of which, 2,76,238 appeals have been decided. With the launch of AAS, the pendency of applications has been reduced greatly.

E-Adhigam

E-Adhigam, the state’s personalized and Adaptive Learning (PAL) enabled tablet-based learning programme was launched by the Chief Minister on May 5, 2022 for all 5 lakh government school students in the state, in the grades 10 to 12 for the subjects of English, Hindi and Social Science. Till date, 78 percent of students of classes 10th, 11th & 12th have received their tablets and data SIM cards. Tablets and Data SIMs are also being provided to all school heads, TGTs and VTs (IT). The government aims to roll PAL out for all compulsory subjects before the next academic year.

MMAPUY

        With the objective of upliftment of last mile person or ‘Antyodaya’, a total of 861 Melas were organized in three phases across all 22 districts of Haryana. A total of 1,37,544 identified beneficiaries turned up, and applications of 76,941 beneficiaries were approved in principle under various loan-based schemes, skill development training and employment generation schemes. Thereafter, loans of 35,414 beneficiaries have been sanctioned, out of which 18,918 have been disbursed as well. 453 beneficiaries have joined private employment and 1901 beneficiaries have secured contractual jobs through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN). Additionally, a total of 1358 beneficiaries have been provided with various skill-development opportunities.

CHIRAYU Haryana

        CHIRAYU-Comprehensive Health Insurance of Antyodaya Units provides benefits of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) to Antyodaya families in Haryana. The entitled beneficiaries will get health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation as per the guidelines of AB-PMJAY. Around 28 lakh families or 1,10,85,346 beneficiaries will be covered. Till now, more than 26 lakh Ayushman Cards have been generated under CHIRAYU and a total of 55,28,844 cards under both CHIRAYU and AB-PMJAY.

MMUs

To provide a range of health care services through Mobile Medical Units (MMU), in under-served and un-served areas, a fleet of 59 Mobile Medical Units are deployed as one MMU for every two Community Health Centres. More than 1.36 lakh patients have been given services at their doorstep in the F.Y. 2022-23 (till October, 2022). The details of such patients are registered in the Mobile Medical Unit Patient Reporting System (MMUPRS) portal, which helped in reducing IMR & MMR in the state by providing health care services at citizens’ doorstep.

Dismantling of Pan-India Cybercrime gangs

The Police team recovered Rs. 10,41,000 Cash, 71 mobile phones, 114 ATM Cards, 150 Sim Cards and 1 Cash counting machine from the accused. It is a strong message to all cyber criminals that they will no longer be able to get away with their illegal activities without facing stringent consequences.

NIPUN Haryana Mission

National Education Policy 2020 focusses on foundational learning as the bedrock for all future learning. A deficiency of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy skills leads to a learning gap in such students, resulting in their dropping out in later stages of schooling. An all-comprehensive ICT-based monitoring scheme has been formulated to address the monitoring needs as per the NIPUN Haryana Mission. The scheme includes the development of a mobile application, a web application, the NIPUN Haryana Mission website, an admin portal, and other tools. Database and dashboarding requirements have also been identified.

Prudent Financial Management (E-Auction)

Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran has geared up the sale of its properties through e-auction and has sold more than 20,000 properties thereby earning revenue of more than Rs. 20,000 crores during a short span of one and half years. HSVP has also decided to clear its outstanding dues of the land payment in a time-bound committed manner and has cleared its outstanding dues towards farmers to the extent of more than Rs 12,000 crores. HSVP has earned a profit of Rs. 1900 crores during the year 2021- 22, which is a great achievement in itself.

Crop Cluster Development Programme

Around 400 horticulture potential clusters are mapped and 683 FPOs formed in the state including horticulture clusters. 54 MoUs have been executed between 29 FPOs and 37 Agri-sector companies for trade and agri-business activities with transaction of 16,817 MT of produce. Complete mapping of the horticulture area and produce has been done. 33 integrated packhouses are established. For this programme, Haryana has bagged Best State Agri-Business Award.

Crop Residue Management

This project is focused on crop residue management to reduce stubble burning in Haryana as it not only causes huge loss of revenue but also has severe impact on air quality. With the department’s due diligence, 702 custom hiring centres and 3860 individual farmers have received approximately Rs. 90 crores as subsidy for crop residue management and for buying ex-situ and in-situ equipments since 2018.

Amrit Sarovar Mission and Restoration of Ponds

Under this project a total of 2856 Ponds in rural areas would be completed by august 15, 2023, while a total of 615 rural ponds are being renovated and developed with improved design alongwith the Grey Water Management under Amrit Sarovar Mission and work on 830 is in progress.

Ranney Well Scheme

PHED has recently commissioned one Ranney Well based project covering 84 quality affected villages of Prithla & Palwal Blocks of District Palwal & Ballabgarh Block of District Faridabad. The project will benefit a prospective population of 3,06,814 (2031) persons for 15 years horizon. Canal based drinking water supply schemes have been constructed in the past, but a massive project has been designed for 25 villages of Satnali group. The project will benefit a prospective population of 99,962 persons for 15 years horizon.

Work Integrated Dual-Education Model

        Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has developed an Industry Integrated Dual Education Model with a well-researched methodology that promotes the work integrated skill and vocational education from class 9th to doctorate level in a very short period. This industry-integrated model of vocational higher education has become instrumental in shaping the mindset of people in Haryana about skill-based education and making it aspirational for them. During on-the-job training in most of the courses, stipends are provided to students which range from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month.

Preventive detention of hard-core drug smugglers in Haryana under PITNDPS Act

The detenues have been detained in pursuance of this Act for at least one year. This has helped the local police to target the main operators such as organizers, financers, kingpins etc who themselves do not directly engage in the illicit trafficking of drugs, but operate secretly. Most often, local police is able to catch only drug peddlers, while the kingpins who finance and organise the drug trade often go scot-free due to lack of evidence against them.

NRI Punjabian Nal Milni’ program to be held at Moga on Dec 26

Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed to resolve the grievances and problems of Punjabis residing abroad as ‘NRI Punjabian Nal Milni’ was being organised in various districts.

Giving this information, Punjab’s NRIs Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that ‘NRI Punjabian Nal Milni’ program was being organized at Moga on December 26, where the cases of migrant Punjabis related to districts such as Moga, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Fazilka, Bathinda and Mansa will be heard and resolved. He said that similarly, cases of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Tarn Taran districts will be taken taken up at Amritsar on December 30 where NRI Punjabis could lodge their grudges or complaints online besides on the registration counters to be set up at respective venue.

Dhaliwal said that the Punjab government was preparing a special policy to resolve all the problems related to the social, economic and cultural affairs of NRI Punjabis in a timely manner. He said that in order to listen to the problems of NRI Punjabis and resolve them, the Punjab government will conduct these types of meetings twice every year, in the months of December and April.

The minister further said that their government has decided to visit NRI Punjabis in their nearest districts to trim down the harassment of visiting secretariat or offices of the ministers. He said that earlier under this drive on December 16, 160 cases were taken up at Jalandhar, 74 cases were heard at SAS Nagar on December 19 and 170 others were heard at Ludhiana on December 23.

Dr Baljit Kaur attended as chief guest of the 127th Jalsa of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat at Kaddian

State Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur attended the 127th Jalsa of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat at Kaddian as the chief guest.

          Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, while addressing this function, congratulated the people of Ahmadiyya Jamaat in the world for this meeting.  She said that he has got the good fortune to reach this function today.

          The Cabinet Minister gave the message of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to the Ahmadiyya Jamaat.  She said that Ahmadiyya Jamaat is known all over the world for its moral and spiritual knowledge, mutual respect and understanding.  People from different religions of the world had come in this all-faith convention.  They presented ideas about their respective religions.

          Dr. Baljit Kaur said that Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat always gives spiritual message to the seekers of knowledge and peace.  The message of peace given by them is contributing to building brotherhood all over the world.

Government to install Solar Power Energy System for rural piped water supply schemes in different districts of Punjab

 Punjab government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has approved Rs. 60.50 crore to install Solar Power Energy System for rural piped water supply schemes in different districts of Punjab.  Under this project, Solar Power Energy Plants (based on Net metering) would be installed at 970 Rural Water Supply Schemes of the state covering 1508 villages with a cumulative capacity of 8.698 MW.          Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that the government led by CM Bhagwant Mann is working tirelessly to provide basic facilities to the people of Punjab from day one. It is also the aim of the government that the people should not face any kind of hardship for the facilities and get all the facilities at their doorstep without any hassle.          Divulging the details about the solar project he said that this project aims to ensure the financial sustainability of water supply schemes and successful operation & management of rural water supply schemes by Gram Panchayat Water Supply Committees (GPWSC) by reducing the burden of electricity charges. Additionally, this will also lead to increase in the usage of clean energy and environment sustainability.          Jimpa informed that this project has many benefits which the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation (DWSS) will be able to achieve with installation of solar roof top panels.; I.E. reduction in bill, as the bill is issued by PSPCL after adjustment of export and import of power, generation of environment friendly and clean energy and DWSS/GPWSC will become generator for his own electricity requirements.          Principal Secretary WSS DK Tiwari further said that the electricity duty/octroi etc. shall be levied only on the billed amount after adjustment of import and export of power. Surplus power is supplied to the grid of PSPCL, thus, helps in eliminating power shortage.WSS HoD Mohammad Ishfaq informed that there will be saving of Rs. 8-9 crores per year after the installation of Solar Power Energy project.

Punjab police arrests two kingpins of trans-border narcotic smuggling cartel; 10kg heroin, hi-tech drone recovered

          Striking a major blow to the trans-border narcotic smuggling networks amidst the ongoing war against drugs launched on the directions of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Police have busted an elaborated drug smuggling cartel with the arrest of its two kingpins after recovering 10Kg heroin and one sophisticated drone from their possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Sunday.

            The arrested smugglers identified as Dalbir and Jagdish, both residents of Gharinda in Amritsar, were engaged in drug trafficking for the last three years and have no criminal case registered against them.

          DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the Amritsar Rural Police led by SSP Swapan Sharma in an intelligence-based operation has successfully busted this drug smuggling cartel, which had been smuggling contraband to states including Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh after importing them from cross-border using drones.

          He said that the USA made sophisticated drone recovered from the duo smugglers, is a DJI series drone, worth Rs 20 lakhs, having hi-tech features including long-lasting battery back up and infrared-based night vision camera. This is the fifth such drone recovered in less than a month, he added.

          Divulging more details, SSP Swapan Sharma said that both the smugglers have been evading arrest by using altered modus operandi to carry out smuggling of contraband.

          These big fish had a well oiled distribution network in the neighbouring states, which has been identified, he said, adding that the Police teams have been conducting raids at 12 locations in Haryana and Delhi, and more contraband seizures will follow.

An FIR No. 224 dated 25/12/2022 has been registered under sections 21 and 23 of the NDPS Act Police Station Gharinda.

          Pertinently, Amritsar Rural Police have successfully seized 39Kg heroin in the last five months. Tight vigil along the second line of defence and close coordination with the BSF authorities has resulted in these huge seizures.

1–On November 29: A hexacopter drone carrying six packets of heroin, weighing 6.68 kg, was recovered in the jurisdiction of Border Outpost (BOP) Harbhajan in Khemkaran, Tarn Taran.

2–November 30: A broken quadcopter drone was recovered from the area of village Van Tara Singh in Khalra, Tarn Taran

3–December 2: A hexacopter drone carrying five packets of heroin, weighing 5.60 kg, was recovered from the Khemkaran area in Tarn Taran

4–December 4: A quadcopter drone loaded with three packets of heroin, weighing 3.06Kg, was recovered from area of Border Outpost (BOP) Kalia in Tarn Taran

5–December 25: A DJI series USA made Hi-tech drone, worth Rs 20 lakhs, recovered along with 10Kg heroin by the Amritsar Rural Police

Trials of Punjab teams for All India Services Wrestling Tournament on Dec 27

Central Civil Services Cultural and Board are organizing the All India Services Swimming (Men & Women) tournament from 5th January to 7th January 2023 at Talkotra Swimming Complex, New Delhi, Basketball (Men & Women) tournament from 5th January to 8th January 2023 at Chhatrasal stadium, New Delhi and Weightlifting and Powerlifting tournament and Best Physique (Men) from 5th January to 9th January 2023 at Prahladpur Sports Complex, Sector 31 Rohini, New Delhi.

Trial for the selection of Swimming teams for this tournament will be held at Sports Complex, Sector 78, SAS Nagar on December 27 at 10 am. Trial for the selection of Basketball, Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Best Physique teams will be held at Polo Ground, Patiala on December 27 at 10 am.

The spokesman of the sports department further informed that in these trials security services personnel/para-security organizations/central police organizations/police/RPF/CISF/BSF/ITBP and NSG etc., autonomous parties/undertakings/public sector Banks including central ministry run banks, excluding casual/daily workers, temporary office workers, newly recruited employees who have been in regular services for less than 6 months, Government employees (regular), government officials (regular) of different departments can participate only after receiving NoC from their departments. The cost of travel, accommodation and food in this tournament will be paid by the player personally.

Portal for Free Passport Scheme launched

Taking Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal’s commitment to the principle of Maximum Governance, Minimum Government,  four more key public-centric services, and two welfare schemes have been made online. These include a portal for the new automated Ration Cards Scheme, Online Fard (copy) of Jamabandi, Free Passport Scheme, HPSC Requisition Portal, Citizen Facilitation Centre in all sectors under HSVP, and Works Grievance Redressal System.

        The Chief Minister while addressing the people of the state during the state-level function held here today on governance day launched these services.

Automated Ration Cards Scheme

        While once again becoming a role model for other states, Haryana will now be the first state in the country for making the entire process of making the Ration cards online.   With this launch, the government has made the process of making ration cards simple and easy.  Now the beneficiaries do not need to visit different departments to get their BPL/AAY ration cards made, as eligible families will get automated BPL Yellow Ration Cards online without applying through Parivar Pehchan Patra.

        Based on the verified data of their annual income, these beneficiaries will automatically be selected and their ration cards will be automatically generated online. The beneficiaries can download their ration card from their nearest Common Service Center or Atal Seva Kendra or E-Disha etc. They can download the same themselves also.

        With the objective of uplifting the last mile citizen or Antyodaya, the Manohar Lal-led government had increased the BPL income limit to Rs 1.80 lakh, and because of this 12,46,507 new BPL families have been added and now the number of such families is 30.38 lakh.

Free Passport Scheme to encourage willing students to pursue higher education abroad

        The Haryana Government reimburses the Fees charged by competent authority for the issuance of Passports to the students studying in the Final year of Government Colleges. The cost of the Passport will be borne by the Haryana Government. Students can apply on the Higher Education portal (https://passport.highereduhry.ac.in) for Passport Fee Reimbursement.

        After the launch of the free passport scheme, now, Passport fee will be reimbursed by Higher Education in a centralized manner which will eliminate many steps from the earlier process that was used for reimbursement and make the process time efficient. This scheme will encourage willing students to pursue higher education and exploring other life opportunities abroad. 

Farmers to get online Fard (copy) of Jamabandi

        The Revenue Department has computerized the land records management operations using the WEB-HALRIS system in all 143 Tehsils/Sub-Tehsils across the State. Despite this, a farmer has to get the print-out of Jamabandi verified/attested from the Patwari, causing mental agony and inconvenience to him. But now, the farmers will get digitally signed copies of the Jamabandi from the jamabandi.nic.in portal.  This copy of Jamabandi will be legally valid.

Citizen Facilitation Centre, an Initiative towards citizens’ empowerment

This Citizen Facilitation Centres (CFC) will be a one-stop solution for all citizen-related issues, catering the residents of the State. The comprehensive programme shall serve the residents by providing facilitation centres in all sectors under HSVP.

        The centres shall provide citizen-centric services related to urban development and urban issues along with services of general. Each sector developed by HSVP shall have atleast one CFC. Within the next one year, all 250 sectors of HSVP shall be equipped with Common Facilitation Centres. 

        Each centre shall include a minimum of 2 workstations in which the Customer Service Expert will be appointed to ensure effective communication and service delivery. The infrastructure required to provide services to the residents shall also be made available at the centre, such as biometric machines for updating Aadhaar, etc. The services shall be provided to the citizens based on token or online appointment.  Token numbers shall be provided to the citizens at the reception of the centers.

HPSC Requisition Portal

This portal will help in expediting process of raising new requisition to Public advertisement.  The Departmental Nodal Officers fill the new requisition online and submit the same to Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) via respective Additional Chief Secretary login.  With the launch of this portal, the HPSC can raise queries to Department against requisition, Department to reply back and address the queries on the portal itself. Automated reminders will be sent to the department for the raised queries. HPSC and Department can track the status of the requisition on the portal.

Works Grievance Redressal System

        The Works Grievance Redressal System is a one-stop platform for raising grievances by citizens and contractors.  This system aims to give An opportunity for citizens to keep a watch on the quality of various engineering works, improved the quality of work and adherence to timelines and Check on corruption.

        In this system, citizen can raise grievances related to the deficiency in the quality of work and corruption. Besides this, contractors can also raise grievances related to billing, payment and corruption.

        The grievances related to billing and payment will be forwarded to one step higher to the officer who invited the tender. In case no action by the officer within 15 days, the grievance will be escalated to the next higher officer by the system.  The corruption-related Grievance will be forwarded to the Nodal Officer of the Vigilance Department.

        The citizen/contractor can reopen the grievance in case not satisfied with the Closure report. In case of reopen, the grievance is marked to the next higher officer to whom the grievance was initially marked.

The Chief Minister also launched Haryana Government Official Calendar, 2023, and released of Manual of Office Procedure.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. During this, the Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the welfare schemes being run by the state government.

Addressing the mediapersons after the meeting, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Prime Minister inquired in detail about the schemes being run by the Haryana government and also appreciated them. Among them, mainly the Parivar Pehchan Patra, through which today every citizen is getting the benefits of all the schemes sitting at home without any hassle, was appreciated. Officials of other states including Jammu & Kashmir and Maharashtra are taking information about the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme. Similarly, the Prime Minister was informed about the plan to make automatic BPL ration cards from January 1, 2023, through PPP; which he appreciated.

The Chief Minister informed that the Haryana government has increased the BPL income limit to Rs 1.80 lakh. Apart from this, disccusion was also held regarding the implementation of Swamitva Yojana in urban areas along with rural areas.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that a detailed discussion was also held regarding the Jungle Safari being made in Haryana with the Prime Minister. Along with this, the Prime Minister has also been invited to lay the foundation stone of the Jungle Safari. He informed that the Prime Minister has also been invited to attend the inauguration of the Surajkund mela. Not only this, G-20 members will also be invited to the Surajkund mela, he added.

The Chief Minister further informed about the exports which have been doubled in the last three years. There was an export of Rs 1.15 lakh crore in the year 2019-20, which has reached Rs 2 lakh crore in the year 2021-22. The GST collection of the state is also increasing continuously. Although Haryana’s population is 2 percent, but Haryana’s share in the country’s GST collection is 6 percent.

Responding to a question regarding cabinet expansion, the Chief Minister said that the departments have been merged to make government functioning more convenient. It has nothing to do with cabinet expansion in any way, he added.

Responding to a question regarding MBBS bond policy, Sh. Manohar Lal said that it is a matter of satisfaction that the MBBS students has accepted the proposal put before them by the government. There are some other demands of the students as well and it will also be considered sympathetically, he added.

Responding to a question on the Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress, the Chief Minister said that this yatra has no effect in Haryana. These types of yatras keep happening in view of election programmes, but what matters is whom the public accepts. There is no enthusiasm among the public regarding this yatra. Congress’s own house is broken, they are taking out Bharat Jodo Yatra with regard to that broken house, he said.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the matter of following the Covid-19 rules in the Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is absolutely correct. A letter has been written to them to be alert in regard with the Covid-19 pandemic. Their journey has not been stopped. It is the job of the governments to follow any health related alert, he added.

Power complaints to be heard on Dec 27 in Panchkula

Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam is committed to providing uninterrupted power supply to the consumers. Several ambitious programmes are being run by the Nigam for quick resolution of the problems of the consumers. The Chairman Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (Circle Forum), Panchkula of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam along with the members of the Forum would take the proceedings of the forum in the office of SE/OP Circle, UHBVN, Panchkula, SCO-96, 1st Floor, Sector-5, Panchkula to redress the grievances / to hear the complaint of the consumers (belonging to Panchkula District only) and to entertain new complaints from 11:30 AM on dated December 27, 2022 (Tuesday).                 

The CGRF shall take all grievances/complaints of consumers like billing problem, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability, noncompliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders etc. However, the cases of theft and unauthorized use of electricity, offences and penalties as specified under section 126 and section 135 to 139 of Electricity Act, accidents and inquiries as under section 161 of the Act would not be considered by the Forum. 

Haryana invites applications for women awards

The Women and Child Development Department has invited applications for Haryana State Level Awards for Women who have made commendable achievements in various fields till December 31, 2022. Detailed information is available on the department website www.wcdhry.gov.in.

A spokesperson of the department said that the women who have done exemplary work in various fields will be honoured by the state government. These awards are given every year on International Women’s Day, March 8.

These state level awards include Sushma Swaraj Award, Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award, Kalpana Chawla Shaurya Award, Behan Shano Devi Panchayati Raj Award, Life Time Achievement Award and Women Outstanding Achievers Award (Social Worker Award).

These awards include cash award of Rs. 1.50 lakh and a citation under Sushma Swaraj Award, Rs. 1.50 lakh and a citation under Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award, Rs. 1 lakh and a citation under Kalpana Chawla Shaurya Award, Rs. 1 lakh and a citation under Behan Shano Devi Panchayati Raj Award.

          The spokesperson said  that Rs. 51,000 and a citation under LifeTime Achievers Award, Rs. 21,000 and a citation under ANM, Women APHW (two awards), Rs. 21,000 and a citation under Mahila Khiladi Puraskar Award, Rs. 21,000 and a citation under (two awards) for Literate Women Group member, Rs. 21,000 and a citation under government employee segment (two awards), Rs. 21,000 and a citation for social worker (two awards) and Rs. 21,000 and a citation for women entrepreneur (two awards) will be given.
