Punjab government according top priority to impart quality healthcare services to the people: CM

 Reiterating the firm commitment of the Aam Aadmi government to ensure well being of people, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said that the state government is according top priority to impart quality healthcare services to the people.

 The Chief Minister, who dedicated the Mother and Child care hospital here at the local Sub Divisional hospital, envisioned that this newly constructed hospital will act as a catalyst to impart quality health care to the pregnant women and newly born child. He said that the move is aimed to ensure that people get quality health services in these hospitals. Bhagwant Mann said that more such hospitals will be constructed across the state in coming days.

 The Chief Minister further said that strenuous efforts are being made to equip the government hospitals with the ultramodern facilities. Likewise, he said that a massive recruitment drive has been embarked to fill all the vacant lying government posts in the health department. Bhagwant Mann said that the sole purpose is to ensure that people get the best healthcare facilities in the state.

 The Chief Minister asked the medical and para-medical staff present on the occasion to discharge their duty with utmost dedication and sincerity. He said that it is the need of hour to ensure that people get quality healthcare services in the government hospitals. Bhagwant Mann also said that the state government will leave no stone unturned to spruce up government healthcare infrastructure across the state for providing state of the art medical treatment and diagnostic services to people.

 The Chief Minister also inspected the operation theatre, immunisation ward, OPD and others to take stock of the health facilities. He also inspected various wards of the hospital and interacted with the patients to take their feedback about the state of affairs in the hospital. Bhagwant Mann also had detailed interaction with the Doctors and para medical staff about the facilities at the hospital.

RBI clears cash credit limit of Rs 43526.23 crores for paddy procurement upto november: Kataruchak

The Reserve Bank Of India has enhanced the CCL for procurement of paddy during the ongoing Kharif season to Rs. 43526.23 crores up to end November 2022.

Disclosing this today, Lal Chand Kataruchak, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister, stated that timely purchase, payment and lifting is going on in each mandi where any farmer has brought his produce from the day one of the procurement.

Further, giving details of the MSP payments, he said that MSP payment of Rs. 20086 Crores has been released directly in the bank accounts of farmers till yesterday, on completion of first month of procurement season and nearly 5.60 lakh farmers have been benefitted from MSP so far. He reaffirmed the commitment of the State Government to purchase every single grain produced with the sweat and toil of the farmer. 

Principal Secretary Food and Civil Supplies, Rahul Bhandari said that all DCs have been asked to daily review/monitor procurement, lifting and payments operations. With the approval of CCL, MSP payments will continue to be made seamlessly. He also added that  lifting of nearly 6.5-7 LMT paddy is being done every day. As per the State Govt. Procurement Policy and Punjab Mandi Board bye laws, lifting of paddy is to be done within 72 hours. Accordingly, 99% of the paddy procured before 72 hours has already been lifted as per reports received from districts.

Students of government schools in Punjab will become job givers, not job seekers: Harjot Singh Bains

In yet another step to further strengthen the education system by the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann, the Minister of School Education Mr. Harjot Singh Bains on Tuesday inaugurated Business Blaster Young Entrepreneur Scheme to fulfill dream of the students studying in the government schools to become entrepreneurs.

Speaking on this occasion Harjot Singh Bains said that the government wants to make Punjab’s education model better than the rest of the world, and they are working dedicatedly to ensure that the students who have studied in the Punjab government schools would not be concerned about their future.

He said that in order to boost business enterprises in the state, children of government schools will become  “job givers” and not “job seekers”.

He said that to fulfil this aim, the Punjab government led by CM Bhagwant Mann has decided to start the Business Blaster Young Entrepreneur Scheme. The students of classes 11 will be provided seed money of Rs 2,000 to start a business, which is aimed at developing young entrepreneurs at the school-level.

He said that under the first phase the scheme will be launched in 31 schools in 9 districts of Punjab state including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, Ferozepur, Ropar and Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. He said that the scheme will be implemented in all schools of Punjab from the next academic year.

He said that under this scheme first their business proposals will be taken from the children and then those business proposals will be discussed with established industrialists and a mixed group of 8 students will be formed for the proposal which is found suitable and they will be given complete guidance.

He said that there are intelligent children studying in the government schools of the state of Punjab who have the ability to change the country and the world and he hopes that this scheme will not only make the students of its government schools employers but also eliminate many problems of the state.

CM announces to spruce up government healthcare infrastructure across the state

 Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday announced to spruce up government healthcare infrastructure across the state for providing state of the art medical treatment and diagnostic services to people.

 “During the run up for elections we had promised guarantee of quality health care to the people and no stone is being left unturned for this noble cause” said the Chief Minister, while addressing after dedicating newly built mother and child care hospital here today.

 The Chief Minister said that strenuous efforts are being made to equip the government hospitals with the ultramodern facilities. Likewise, he said that a massive recruitment drive has been embarked to fill all the vacant lying government posts in the health department. Bhagwant Mann said that the sole purpose is to ensure that people get the best healthcare facilities in the state.

 The Chief Minister further said that along with upgrading the existing government hospitals with latest facilities due focus is also being laid on opening of new hospitals. He envisioned that Punjab will soon emerge as a hub of Healthcare and Medical education. Bhagwant Mann said that 16 new medical colleges will be constructed in the coming five years thereby enhancing the total tally of medical colleges to 25 thus transforming Punjab into a hub of medical education. 

 The Chief Minister envisioned that the newly constructed mother and child hospitals will act as a catalyst to impart quality health care to the pregnant women and newly born child. He said that the move is aimed to ensure that people get quality health services in these hospitals. Bhagwant Mann said that more such hospitals will be constructed across the state in coming days. 

 The Chief Minister further said that the prestigious G-20 summit, scheduled to be held in the holy city of Amritsar in March-2023, will promote Punjab as a preferred destination for business on the international level. He said that the summit will also provide a stage to the government to showcase its achievements and facilities for setting up new businesses. Bhagwant Mann said that this is a golden opportunity when Punjab can be highlighted as a land of best opportunities adding that the state is fortunate to have got this opportunity to host this event, in which leading countries from around the world will discuss education and labour and other crucial issues.

 The Chief Minister asserted that the entire process of ongoing procurement and lifting of the paddy crop will be completed within a week. Reiterating the firm commitment of the state government to procure every single grain of paddy, Bhagwant Mann said that he is personally monitoring the entire procurement process to ensure that farmers do not face any sort of inconvenience. He said that during the current procurement season not even a single complaint has been received from the farmers across the state.

 Listing the pro-people initiatives taken by the state government in the last seven months, the Chief Minister said that from July 1 onwards the Punjab government has provided 600 units of free power to people in every bill cycle. He said that as a result of this around 50 lakh households out of total 72.66 lakh, which was roughly 68.71 %of total) have got zero power bill in the month of September. Bhagwant Mann said that this initiative has given a major relief to the people of the state.

 Likewise, the Chief Minister said that the Punjab government has launched a major crackdown against the corrupt leaders who had plundered the wealth of the state. Bhagwant Mann said that his government has launched anti- corruption helpline after which around 250 corrupt elements have been put behind the bars. He said that only an honest and committed government can take such path breaking and pro-people initiatives.

 The Chief Minister further said that the state government has passed the historic ‘One MLA, One Pension’ bill which stipulates that each MLA will get only a single pension, instead of the earlier provision of permitting multiple pensions for every term. He said that similarly the state government has given more than 20,000 government jobs to the youth purely on merit basis. Bhagwant Maan said that the process to regularize 36,000 contractual employees in the state has also started and recently only the state government has issued notification for regularizing services of around 9000 employees.

 The Chief Minister also said that in order to provide quality and timely health services to the people 100 Aam Aadmi clinics have been dedicated to the people to mark 75th Independence Day. He said that these clinics are offering 41 health packages with nearly 100 clinical tests free of cost to the people. Bhagwant Mann envisaged that these clinics will act as the cornerstone in the revamp of the healthcare system in Punjab.

 Earlier, MLA Jagroan Sarvjit Kaur Manuke welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries.

BJP is going to register a historic victory in Adampur by-election, says Manohar Lal Khatar

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.  Manohar Lal said that the BJP will win the Adampur by-election with a huge margin. BJP’s election campaign is going on in full swing in the region.

“BJP is going to register a historic victory in Adampur by-election. I will also be going to the Adampur assembly constituency to campaign for the party,” said Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing a press conference held here today.  

Answering a question, the Chief Minister also took a jibe at the Congress party. 

He said that in Adampur, no big political face from Congress is campaigning in favour of Congress in the Adampur except the father-son duo of Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Deepender Singh Hooda. 

The Chief Minister said that the Congress did not find any local face in the Adampur election and because of this, they have tried their luck on Jaiprakash from Kaithal.  

He said that while, BJP has fielded local candidate Bhavya Bishnoi, who is the young face, in Adampur assembly constituency.

“BJP is campaigning vigorously in support of Bhavya Bishnoi.  His victory is certain,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Bharatiya Janata Party will register victory in Himachal Pradesh also Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will register a big victory in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly election as well.  There is a good atmosphere in favour of the BJP.  

The Chief Minister said that after the arrival of Prime Minister,  Sh. Narendra Modi, such an atmosphere has created in Himachal Pradesh that the BJP government will be formed there again and again, not alternately. 

He also took a jibe at the Congress candidates contesting for Himachal Pradesh and said that there are serious allegations of corruption against him even today.

Haryana Chief Minister launches CM dashboard, showcasing live monitoring of the departments

While taking yet another pioneering step towards ‘Vyavastha Parivartan Se Sushasan’, the Chief Minister today launched the CM dashboard, a unique IT platform having real-time data of all the departments. 

“Live monitoring of every department at the block, district and Panchayat levels would be done. Along with this,  minute-to-minute details of the working of the government functionary would be done,” said Sh. Manohar Lal. 

The portal will also have information about the high-level decisions taken by the administrative wing on all the major schemes. This will enable tracking of the methodology and analysis of the reports and further will help in valuable comparison between the old and new data, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Notably, this dashboard has been developed in-house with state-of-the-art Business Intelligence software. This portal would be greatly beneficial in taking the state government’s ambition of good governance, added the Chief Minister. 

Now get an opportunity to buy gifts, and mementoes received by Chief Minister 

The Chief Minister also launched a dedicated e-Upphar portal to auction the gifts received by him.  

Various gifts received by the Chief Minister would be put up for auction on the CM-Upphar portal. The base bid amount would be fixed and the payment would be directly transferred to Chief Minister Relief Fund and the same would be used for the welfare of the people of the State.

Haryana is focusing towards zero stubble burning, Chief Minister

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing a press conference held here today said that Haryana is taking concrete steps for stubble management and improving air quality. 

Divulging the data about the stubble burning incidents reported this year, he said that this year as of now only 1925 incidents have been reported, which shows decline in the incidents. 

He further said that the state has accelerated its campaign further to curb the incidents and he is hopeful that soon the state government will achieve its target of zero stubble burning.  

“If we compare Haryana with our neighbours Punjab, we are not even 10 per cent in terms of stubble burning cases that are being reported there. As per data, 13,873 cases of stubble burning have been reported in Punjab til October 30, 2022,” added Sh. Manohar Lal. 

He further said that to control stubble burning, the State Government has implemented a framework which includes In-situ Crop Residue Management, Ex-situ Management, Effective monitoring, enforcement and wide reach of Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities. 

The Chief Minister said that crop residues are being utilized through various machines and decomposers. He said that farmers are being continuously made aware of the ill effects of stubble burning. The Chief Minister said that an incentive amount of Rs. 1000 per acre to farmers for bailing (In-Situ Management) is being given by the State Government. The State Government has formulated a special framework for stubble management to reduce pollution,” added Sh. Manohar Lal.

A 50 per quintal incentive amount and subsidy on straw management equipment are given to the farmers for making stubble bales. Besides this, farmers are being given 50 percent subsidy on equipment for crop residue management and 80 percent subsidy on custom hiring centres, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

He said that the government has created a new portal to buy stubble and supply the same to the industries. Information about the contractors and industries who buy stubble will also be available on this, the farmer who wants to sell his stubble can contact directly through the portal, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

The State Government has formed a committee for the purchase of stubble on MSP. There are about 24 more such industries which have agreed to use the stubble for their energy consumption, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Chief Minister wishes the people of the state on the eve of Haryana Day

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has greeted the people of the state on the eve of Haryana Day.  

While addressing a press conference here today, Sh. Manohar Lal said that it is really proud to say that Haryana which once was questioned for it’s existence today is  among the leading states of the country.  

“All previous governments have made a pivotal contribution in the development of Haryana. The State today has reached farahead, be it the economic condition of the state, industrial progress or in providing services to the society, Haryana is shining bright on country’s map,” said Sh. Manohar Lal

Referring to the achievements of the government, he said that in these eight years, he has ensured the holistic development of the State. 

“The tenure of our government in these eight years will always have an upper hand over the 48- year rule of previous governments,”  added Sh. Manohar Lal. 

The Chief Minister said that where the BJP government is formed once, it has certainly made a stronger come back. 

He also expressed confidence that BJP will make a hat trick  in Haryana.

The Chief Minister also thanked the Union Home Minister,  Sh. Amit Shah for lauding the work done by the Manohar Government. 

He said that the government is constantly working in the spirit of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek with Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas-Sabka Prayas.  In these 8 years, we attacked the ‘3C’- Corruption, Caste-based politics and Crime.  

“Besides this, the emphasis has also been given to promoting 5S — Shiksha, Swasthaya, Suraksha, Swabhiman and Swavlambhan to ensure holistic development of Haryana. Now we are promoting the sixth S that is Sushashan (Good Governance)” added Sh. Manohar Lal. 

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has taken the development graph at the top.  

“We did not change but believed in bringing radical changes by eliminating the infamous transfer business. Today, the benefits of services and schemes are being received at the doorstep of the beneficiaries,” said Sh. Manohar Lal. 

He further informed that the dozens of new projects including Parivar Pehchan Patra, Antyodaya Utthan Yojana, Online Transfer Policy, Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana-Lal Dora Mukt villages, Educated Panchayats and Meri Fasal-Mera Byora have been started by the State Government.

The Chief Minister said that the welfare of the farmers has been taken endured in every policy formulated by the State Government. 

“The welfare of the people has been ensured through schemes like Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, DBT, Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Abhiyan and social security pension etc.  The government has set a target of fully implementing the New Education Policy by the year 2025, ” said Sh. Manohar Lal. 

He said that equitable development of the State is being ensured. A roadmap for constructing at least one National Highway in every district has been prepared. 

“Youth have been given jobs along with their skill development. Medical colleges and 200 bedded hospitals are being made constructed in every district. A target has been set to double government jobs, investment and exports. Autonomy and powers were given to Panchayati Raj Institutions.  Women have been given 50 per cent representation in Panchayati Raj Institutions,” said Sh. Manohar Lal. 

35 new appointees given appointment letter during Rozgar Mela 2022, Chandigarh

Rozgar Mela 2022, Chandigarh was organised on Monday at UT Secretariat Chandigarh where appointment letters were distributed to 35 new appointees by Administrator Banwarilal Purohit amongst those were 32 candidates recruited as Constables in Chandigarh Police Band. UT official said that with the vision to empower the youth of India by providing more and more job opportunities in Government sector, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Rozgar Mela 2022 on October 22. As envisioned by PM, Chandigarh Administration has taken its first step in this direction to empower the youth by providing them employment opportunity. These appointments have been made in Police Department, Department of Higher Education and Department of Urban Planning. Administrator further directed all the Administrative Secretaries to fill up vacant posts in their departments expeditiously.

Cong seeking votes in the name of development, despite being in opposition: Hooda

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda on Monday said that Congress government is coming in, while the BJP is on its way out. He said this is why the people of Adampur are going to participate in the coming government from now on. People have made up their mind to ensure victory for the Congress, rising above caste, religion and party considerations in Adampur.

Hooda and State Congress President Chaudhary Udaybhan arrived together to campaign for Congress candidate Jaiprakash JP in Adampur today. Speaking at a series of public meetings, Hooda appealed to the people that once you send Jayaprakash to the assembly, I will shake the foundations of this government. “The BJP has already conceded defeat on the development front as the present government does not have a single work worth showcasing in Adampur. Despite being in opposition for 8 years, even today Congress is seeking votes in the name of development and telling the public what kind of policies it will implement when the government is formed in future,” he said. 

Hooda campaigned in Dobhi, Banda Hedi, Budak, Kharia and Balsamand villages for Congress candidate Jai Prakash. On this occasion, Chaudhary Udaybhan told that when the Congress government is formed in future, the pension of 5 lakh elderly people and 30,000 widows, cut by this government, will be restored and given back along with interest. “Congress will give Rs 6000 monthly pension to the elderly. The poor families will be given yellow ration cards again so that they can be given ration by the government,” he said. 

“Along with this, the scheme of 100-100 yards plot allocation to poor families will be re-introduced and allotted after constructing a 2-room residential house in it. Congress will also open all the schools closed by the BJP government and fill the vacant posts of teachers. Permanent recruitment will be done on 1.82 lakh government posts lying vacant all over Haryana. Congress will double the stipend amount of SC, OBC and poor children,” he promised. 

He also promised that the creamy layer for OBC reservation will be increased from Rs 6 to Rs 10 lakhs, so that the families who are out of the purview of reservation can get the benefit again. Apart from this, Udaybhan also announced that MNREGA mate, Chowkidar and Safai Karamcharis will be made permanent and the benefit of old pension scheme will be given to all government employees. MSP of every crop to the farmers and bonus on main crops.

Earlier today Bhupinder Singh Hooda attended the program organized in Hisar Bar Association and appealed to the lawyers to vote for the Congress in Adampur. The association assured him of full support. 

On this occasion, Hooda told that he has an old relationship with Hisar. “In 1923, when my grandfather Shri Matu Ram ji contested the election, the Tayal family from Hisar sent a vehicle for his campaign and the election petition was contested by Lala Lajpat Rai,” he said. 

Earlier in the day Hooda and Udaybhan offered their floral tributes to Smt Indira Gandhi on her martyrdom day and Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a symbol of unity and integrity on his birth anniversary at the Congress Bhawan.
