FIRST IN NORTH INDIA, SUPER ECBC COMPLIANT BUILDING TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN SAS NAGAR: AMAN ARORA

In a bid to promote energy conservation and showcase the energy efficiency in the buildings, Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government has decided to construct a super Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) compliant building in SAS Nagar (Mohali).Revealing this, Punjab New and Renewable Energy Sources Minister Mr Aman Arora said that Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) department has allocated a dedicated land of 1500 sq.m. to PEDA for construction of Super ECBC building at Sector-65, SAS Nagar to showcase the energy efficiency in the buildings.This building will be constructed within next 2 years for operation, said the Cabinet Minister while adding that it would be one such kind of model building showcasing the super efficient technologies integrating with passive design features to be constructed as first building in North India.          Additional Chief Secretary New & Renewable Energy Sources Mr. A. Venu Prasad apprised that the demonstration super ECBC compliant building will contain all state-of-the-art technologies and this building will be served as Model Building for all the stakeholders, students & general public for awareness in the State. The Design & Construction cost of the proposed Super Energy Efficient Building will be borne by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).Chief Executive PEDA Dr. Sumeet Jarangal mentioned that H&UD department has allocated this land under public institutional infrastructure in Sector-65, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) near Punjab Mandi Bhawan of around 1500 sq.m. as a role model for stimulating such practices in more government buildings to showcase energy efficiency in the State of Punjab.Notably, PEDA is a designated Agency of the Government of Punjab to coordinate and enforce the Energy Conservation Act-2001 in the state under the guidelines of BEE, Ministry of Power, GoI. 

Winds of change blowing in Gujarat as people ready for scripting a new record: Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today asserted that winds of change are witnessing in Gujarat and people of the state will script new success story after polls.

Interacting with the media here while presenting guarantee of maintenance of Cow, the Chief Minister, accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister said that people of Gujarat are confronting same problems as were witnessed in Punjab prior to 2022 polls. He said that Gujarat is facing severe agriculture crisis, schools and hospitals are in shambles and the situation of roads are in pitiable situation, a situation which was in Punjab before 2022 polls. Bhagwant Mann said that the situation can change only if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is voted to power.

Slamming the Congress and BJP, the Chief Minister said that both the parties are two sides of same coin. He said that despite of being worst victim of operation lotus the Congress has supported BJP’s anti-democratic stand in the ongoing session of the state assembly. Bhagwant Mann said that once it was Congress (I) but now it is Congress (BJP) as both the parties have connived with each other to plunder people and wealth of state.

Listing the several path breaking initiatives of the Aam Aadmi Government in Punjab, the Chief Minister said that from July 1 onwards the Punjab government has provided 600 units of free power to people in every bill cycle. He said that as a result of this around 50 lakh households out of total 72.66 lakh, which was roughly 68.71 %of total) have got zero power bill in the month of September. Likewise, Bhagwant Mann said that more than 17,000 government jobs have been given to the youth in last six months.

Similarly the Chief Minister said that his government is against the exploitative contractual system of jobs due to which they had started process of regularising services of more than 30,000 contractual employees in state. Bhagwant Mann said that he has launched anti-corruption helpline after which corrupt elements are being put behind the bars. He said that only an honest government can take such path breaking and pro-people initiatives

The Chief Minister said that in order to tackle the menace of stray cattle efficaciously, the state government is strengthening the Gau Sewa Commission. He said that the motive is to reduce the fatalities due to accidents caused by stray cattle on one hand and to ensure proper upkeeps of cow on the other. Bhagwant Mann said that efforts are afoot to ensure judicious utilisation of cow cess for welfare of cattle.

Haryana wrestlers showed their strength in 36th National Games in Gujarat

Haryana’s wrestlers gave a stellar performance in the ongoing 36th National Games in Gujarat.  A total of 9 medals were at stake in the wrestling matches today, out of which Haryana players secured 6 medals for the state.  Players won 3 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze medals.

Daughters of Haryana showed their strength
Haryana’s daughters showed their robust performance in the wrestling matches held on Sunday and won two gold medals for Haryana.  In the 53 kg weight category, Haryana’s anteem won the gold medal by defeating Priyanshi Prajapat of Madhya Pradesh.  At the same time, Mansi of Haryana won the gold medal by defeating Neetu of Chandigarh in the 57 kg weight category freestyle wrestling.

 Apart from this, Satish of Haryana won the gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in the 130 kg weight category.  Similarly, Sagar of Haryana made the state proud by winning a silver medal in the 74 kg weight category freestyle wrestling and Vikas in the 60 kg weight category Greco-Roman wrestling.

 Apart from these, Sanjeet of Haryana won a bronze medal in freestyle wrestling in the 86 kg weight category.

Games will continue till October 12

 In the 36th National Games, sports teams from Haryana and the Indian Armed Forces are witnessing tough competition.  The players and coaches of Haryana are hoping that Haryana becomes the overall champion of these games which will continue till October 12, 2022.

The sports included in these games are Aquatics, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Beach Sports, Boxing, Canoeing, Cycling, Fencing, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Lawn Ball, Mallakhamba, Netball, rowing, rugby sevens, shooting, soft tennis, softball, squash, table tennis, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, wushu, and yoga.

Jauramajra orders enquiry committee to submit report in Pathankot incident by Tuesday

The Health and Family Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra has ordered a four member enquiry committee to submit its report on the tragic incident that happened at Pathankot civil hospital by this Tuesday.

          The Health and Family Welfare Minister Punjab Chetan Singh Jauramajra had constituted a four member committee comprising Dr. Raj Kumar- District Family Welfare officer, Dr. Vandana Kundal- Deputy Medical Commissioner, Dr. Harnavneet-Gynaecologist, Dr. Bindu Gupta- SMO,  to conduct this inquiry.  This committee has been ordered to submit their inquiry report by October 4.

          The Health Minister said that any laxity on part of the staff members of the department would not be tolerated. Ever since he has taken charge as Health Minister, strict instructions from his side have been issued to the staff to behave politely with the patients to ensure that the general public do not face any inconvenience while getting services at government hospitals, said Jauramajra.

He reiterated that stern action will be taken against the negligent staff if found to be guilty in this inquiry.

          Mr. Jauramajra said that there is already a provision for punishment according to the service rules for those government employees who are negligent or act responsible while serving. He said that appropriate disciplinary action would be taken against that person whosoever would be found guilty in the Pathankot case.

Haryana Chief Minister pays tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji on their Birth Anniversary

The Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Former Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri  on their birth anniversary. He said that on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary in 2014, all the citizens were motivated to build toilets in their homes, as part of a nationwide cleanliness drive Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. As a result, millions of households benefited from it and significantly supported eliminating open defecation. Apart from this, under the Swachhta Abhiyan, people were also made aware of cleanliness in their surrounding environment. He said that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign has significantly contributed to development of the nation, especially in the rural areas.The Chief Minister said that from September 17, the birthday of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi to October 2, the birthday of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Swachhta Pakhwada is being run across the state.He recommended adopting cleanliness in our daily life. Without cleanliness, we get surrounded by various diseases, and health treatments cost a significant expenditure. The cost of health services may be reduced, and the body will continue to function well if cleanliness is fully embraced in daily life.The Chief Minister said that the former Prime Minister, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri was rich in simple living, and high thinking and his slogan ‘Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan’ continues to inspire everyone since  decades. The soldiers constantly work to secure the nation’s borders by the inspiration of the Former Prime Minister, and the farmers have made the nation strong and food-self reliant by growing an abundance of grains satisfying the nation’s requirements.The Chief Minister said that the high and ideal thoughts of both the great men, Mahatma Gandhi and Former Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri, will always pave our way. Let us continue to strive for the public good in the nation and the state by drawing motivation from their lives. Haryana Government has also taken many decisions in the interest of farmers, which are moving towards making them financially self-reliant.

 Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, with his visionary approach toward Good Governance has evolved as an epitome of change. His efforts to bring about a change in power and politics while ensuring transparency at various levels have established him as a great leader over the years.  Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, while addressing as the Chief Guest at the function, addressed him as the real champion of change in Haryana.
The Champion of Change selection committee headed by Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Former Chairman of the Human Rights Commission, Justice K.G. Balakrishnan presented the first ‘Champion of Change Haryana 2021 Award’ to Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Other members of the selection committee include Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra, Advocate Nandan Kr Jha, well-known media personality Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik, and Former Ambassador, Dayakar Ratakkonda.

Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, in his address said that Chief Minister, Sh. He added that he has been a pioneer in establishing good governance in the state. A new era has ushered in. He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is the biggest champion of change .He has taken the country to new heights and thus with his love and blessings, the Chief Minister has played the role of investment catalyst.

National Voluntary Blood Donation Day celebrated at PGIMER

As part of the Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav celebrations (17th September – 1st October), the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day was observed on 1st October 2022 by the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGI, Chandigarh.
Three blood donation camps were organized in which 150 blood donations were donated.
The first camp was organized at the premise of Mata Mansa Devi Mandir, Panchkula in association with the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board & Indian Red Cross Society, Panchkula, Shree Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust, Panchkula and Mahamai Mata Mansa Devi Mandir Charitable Bhandara Committee motivated by Sh. Rakesh Kumar Sangar.
The second camp was organized at the BSNL, Sector 34 Chandigarh under the motivation of Sh. Mahesh Chand Singh, GM TD BSNL.
The third was an indoor camp at the blood donation centre of PGI camp was organized in association with the Thalassemia Charitable Trust (Regd.) motivated by Mr. Rajinder Kalra and Rayat-Bahra University, School of Medical & Allied Sciences motivated by Dr. Pankaj Kaul. The blood donors were felicitated and thanked for their vital contribution by Prof. Sadhna B Lal, Prof. Vipin Koushal, Prof. Pankaj Malhotra and Prof. Ratti Ram Sharma.

Haryana Police to celebrate “Cybersecurity Month” this October with MHA’s #SeeYourselfInCyber” theme

2: Following the instructions of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Haryana Police has decided to celebrate this October as “Cybersecurity Month” with “See Yourself in Cyber” theme.Under this, awareness campaigns focusing upon topics like multi-factor authentication, strong passwords, software updates, identify online fraudsters, prevent financial fraud, and safely use of social media have been prepared.Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that since last October, first Wednesday of every month is celebrated as Cybersecurity Awareness Day. The main goal of this year’s theme “See Yourself in Cyber” is to make people feel safe and confident in Cyberspace. This time, extra efforts will be made to involve the most important sections of society, women and children, amongst others.“We are now receiving more than 1000 calls daily on the 1930 National Cyber Helpline, whereby immediate action is taken. The increasing number of calls is testament to Haryana Police’s awareness initiatives over the past few months. Crime Reporting is the greatest contribution in preventing any crime and it is also a sign of an aware society. This is the result of the tireless efforts Haryana Police, which has saved around Rs 15 crore so far from cyber thugs.” he added.This time, the Cyber State Nodal Officer, Shri. O.P. Singh, Additional Director General of Police, State Crime Branch has himself taken the responsibility of conducting the program for the month of October in a better and successful manner. By organizing a special meeting with Cyber Nodal Officers of all the districts of Haryana Police, he has also explained the program outline and directed them to ensure that cyber awareness is effectively spread to reach every section.Sharing more information, the spokesperson said that the awareness program on every Wednesday in October will cover different issues. A framework has also been sent to the districts by the State Nodal Agency i.e. State Crime Branch for its effective implementation. For example, in first week of October, it has been decided to focus on “Strong passwords and multi-factor authentication” under which the usefulness of better passwords and multi-factor authentication for social media accounts in addition to bank account will be demonstrated.Along with raising awareness, live demonstration training programs will held and also encouraging creative and strong password generation, adoption of dual security system, use of face or fingerprint of the user will be advised. Moreover, 1930 meter running, interactive session, painting, poetry singing, girl’s self defense techniques and public speaking, stage performance, cyber rahgiri, loudspeaker announcements in various schools and colleges under the leadership of nodal officers in all districts will be conducted. Programs like Cyber Choupal, etc. will be also held.A “Run against Cyber Crime” has been planned on National Unity Day whose preparations have already been made for a large participation. In September, Haryana Police successfully organized Raahgiri Cyber Programs in all districts of the state with the participation of about 32,000 people from the state. This time on October 31, National Unity Day, “Run for Unity” will be held in all tunes owing to the cyber theme, where all ages in the state will be motivated to participate & join the race. Haryana Police will do its best to spread cyber awareness to every corner of the state through various efforts, all preparations have been completed at the state level.In addition to this, public awareness efforts will also be made through social media, a police spokesman said. A Cyber Crime Quiz was also launched via Twitter social media users. As part of this, various cybersecurity-related questions will be asked on the official social media handles so that in addition to assessing the level of awareness, the public can also be associated with this campaign. It is known that this year, in just 9 months, more than 110,000 people have registered to participate in Haryana Police’s awareness campaign through social networks. 

Haryana ranked second in the country in Swachh Survekshan Rural 2022 ranking*

Chandigarh, October 2 – Haryana State is constantly touching a new paradigm of progress under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Due to his visionary approach and strenuous efforts, the state government is touching new heights of progress. On the basis of Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2022, ODF Sustainability for Total Sanitation, and excellent implementation of various components of ODF Plus Haryana has secured the second position in the country under the category of States having a population of more than 30 lakhs.

Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister, Sh. Devender Singh Babli received this award from the President, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, today, in a programme organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Sh. Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Sh. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Food Processing Industries, Sh. Prahlad Singh Patel, and Minister of State, Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs, Sh. Bishweswar Tudu were present on the occasion.

Development and Panchayats Minister, Sh. Devender Singh Babli said that every department of the state is committed to taking the state to the highest progress by adopting innovative working procedures and implementing schemes. Special focus is being given to accelerating development growth in rural areas along with uplifting their lifestyle. He said that along with the officers of the development and panchayats department, swachhta sainik, education department, women and child development department, and other social institutions played a key role in supporting to achieve this remarkable target. They have played a major role in generating awareness regarding the Swachhta campaign with a special focus on the rural areas in collaboration with the government.

The Minister for Development and Panchayats said that from September 17, the birthday of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi to October 2, the birthday of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Swachhta Pakhwada is celebrated every year across the country. During the same period, district-level “Swachhta Hi Sewa” programme was also run in the state. Under this, cleanliness campaigns were conducted in every village and people were made aware about not using single-use plastic and keeping their surroundings clean through awareness march, prabhat pheris, signature campaigns, community support, and other means.

He said that the fact that the Bhiwani district ranked top in the nation’s overall rural cleanliness survey indicates that both government and the rural public are very concerned about maintaining cleanliness. He informed that in 22 villages of Bhiwani district, rain and dirty water have been managed by making special structures. Along with this, 24 ponds are being renovated and beautified under the Mission Amrit Sarovar project in different villages of the district.

He said that the geographical conditions of Haryana are different in every district. The government and administration are doing a commendable job. Understanding their responsibility toward the environment, people also have to contribute significantly in keeping their surroundings clean. He added that we all have to adopt a technique for proper disposal of our household garbage which is the need of the hour. Haryana Government is planning to collect garbage from every household in villages on the lines of cities.

Haryana clinches first gold medal in weightlifting in 36th National Games

rs. This may be seen from the fact that Haryana continues to lead the medal tally with 18 gold medals in the National Games. Haryana has a total of 39 medals including 18 gold, 12 silver, and 9 bronze medals till 5:30 pm on October 2.
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, is continuously monitoring the National Games and encouraging the medal winners and participants. He hoped that the players who took home medals at these National Games will strive relentlessly in the future to bring home medals for India in the Olympic Games.
He claimed that Haryana’s soil is where sports are rooted. The children here have always outperformed in sports. All they need is the right platform and coach, which will turn them into future role models. Haryana Government is making strenuous efforts to improve the skills of the players and promote sports.

Haryana clinches the first gold medal in the weightlifting competition held on Sunday. In the 81 kg weight category, Deepak Lather won the gold medal by lifting a remarkable 170 kg lift.

The daughters of Haryana are performing outstanding in the National Games. In the cycling track event, Haryana’s daughters Taniksha Khatri won gold and Prachi Lohan brought laurels to the state by winning a silver medal. Apart from this, Shiva Narwal won a silver medal in 10m pistol. Haryana girls team also won a silver medal in double sculls rowing.
Apart from this, the Haryana boys team also added one more medal to Haryana’s medal tally by winning a silver medal in foil fencing sports event. The girls’ team also brought laurels to the state by winning a silver medal in the Track Cycling event.
*More than 600 players of Haryana are showcasing their talent*
More than 600 players from Haryana are participating in the 36th National Games going on in Gujarat. Till now the players of Haryana have won 9 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals in wrestling. Similarly, 2 gold and 3 silver medals in shooting, 2 gold in netball, 2 gold with 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in athletics, 1 gold medal in rugby, 1 gold and 2 silver medals in cycling, 1 gold medal in weightlifting, 2 bronze medals in kabaddi and 1 Silver Medal in Table Tennis.
Significantly, the National Games 2022 is being organized in six cities of Gujarat – Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar. Around 7,000 athletes from 28 Indian States, and 8 Union Territories, and Services (Teams of the Indian Armed Forces) are competing for medals in 36 different sports. These include traditional Olympic Games sports events as well as indigenous games of India such as Mallakhamba, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi.
