Continuing the state government’s virtuous tradition of celebrating the birth anniversaries of great men and sages at the state level, Haryana today celebrated Guru Gorakshnath Smriti Utsav in a grand manner at Karnal.During this state-level programme, which was attended by people from all spheres, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal made several pivotal announcements during the programme, these include the establishment of a research chair at Baba Mast Nath University, Asthal Bohar, Rohtak in the name of Guru Gorakhnath, naming an educational institute after him, including Nath sect worshipers in the ‘Pujari Purohit Kalyan Board’ and inclusion of biography and teachings of Guru Gorakhnath in the school curriculum with the objective of making the younger children aware of the teachings of Guru Gorakhnath, asserted Sh. Manohar Lal.Sharing significant information about the state government’s plan of honouring the instrumentalists playing traditional musical instruments, the Chief Minister said that the government is in the process of formulating a pension scheme and soon after its implementation; the beneficiaries will start getting their benefits.He also urged the ‘Yogi Samaj ‘to share the list of their Dharamshalas along with the facilities required there; every feasible demand raised by them will be fulfilled, assured the Chief Minister. “The State Government has announced reservation to BC (A) category in Panchayati Raj Institutions. Now, on the same lines, the reservation will be provided to the BC (A) category in the municipal bodies as well,” announced Sh. Manohar Lal.He said that a provision has been made to give additional 5 marks to the children belonging to Yogi or Ghumantu Jati, provided no one in their family has a government job.“Our saints and great men have always played a significant role in removing the social evils. Even today, their teachings hold relevance and for this reason, only ‘Sant Mahapurush Vichar Samman Evam Prasar Yojana’ has been launched. The Government plays a significant role in spreading the message of communal harmony and peace and teachings of saints and great men among the masses,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.He said that the state government has made tireless efforts to save the girl child and to impart education to them. ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign launched by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has played an important role in improving the state’s gender ratio. Besides this, ensuring quality education to every daughter as many as 42 colleges have been opened in Haryana, said Sh. Manohar Lal.He said that the state government has done the work of increasing the self-respect of Antyodaya. Under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, work has been done for the economic upliftment of all such families.“We are making people ‘Atmanirbhar’ and ‘Swabhimani’. We don’t believe in offering freebies just to get votes,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.On this occasion, MP, Alwar Mahant Balak Nath and Former Minister and BJP State President, Sh. OP Dhankhar also addressed the gathering and thanked the Chief Minister for organizing this event.Member of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Hansraj, Mahant Shivnath and a large number of people from across the state also remained present on this occasion.

The Haryana government is giving subsidies up to 75 percent on solar pumps under the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme. Farmers can apply on http://pmkusum.hareda.gov.in portal till May 15 to select the capacity of the solar pump. Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the farmers who had applied for 1 HP to 10 HP electricity based agricultural tubewells from the year 2019 to 2021 can take advantage of the PM Kusum Yojana.Farmers can save diesel expenses by adopting solar energyHe informed that now farmers will not have to depend on electricity for cultivation purposes. He said that by adopting solar energy, the diesel of the farmers will be saved which will significantly enhance their income. In order to benefit the farmers, the government is also focusing on micro-irrigation.

      Reiterating Punjab Government’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy towards corruption in the state, Punjab Power Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO today said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led state government is committed to give a corruption-free administration to the people of Punjab and all necessary measures are being taken in this regard.          Taking a serious note of cases of corruption by some officials and officers of PSPCL in the recent past, the Cabinet Minister said that corruption at any level would not be tolerated and Mann government will act tough against delinquent officials and no one found indulging in menace of corruption would be spared.          The Power Minister said that recently in cases of corruption in PSPCL, swift and stern action was taken against Er. Gurjinder Singh, SDO DS Sub Division Mubarkpur, who was accused of harassing an applicant in case of release of industrial connection and he was immediately suspended on dated 28-04-2023 after enquiry by the Enforcement Wing of PSPCL. Similarly, Er. Harjit Singh, SDO and Er. Darshan Singh SDO were also suspended on 28-04-2023 for their role in embezzlement of material drawn from PSPCL stores after enquiry by the Technical Audit Wing of PSPCL. Further, in the same case, Er. Chhinder Pal Singh, SDO, Er. Daljit Singh JE and Sh. Ajitpal Singh, Line Man of DS Sub-Division, Bassian were also suspended for large scale material embezzlement. Prior to this, Er. Sumel Singh, Addl. SE DS Division, Amloh and his Divisional Accountant Sh. Kiran Kumar were also suspended due to embezzlement of PSPCL Funds after enquiry by the Audit Wing of PSPCL.          He informed that FIRs have been registered in both these cases and involvement of senior officers in these cases is also being investigated. He said that anyone found guilty shall not be spared.           The Power Minister further said that he will not tolerate any ill treatment of the esteemed consumers and indulgence in corrupt practices by any employee at any level of the Power Department and in future also strict action shall be taken against the delinquent officers & officials.          S. Harbhajan Singh ETO also urged the people of Punjab to cooperate the state government to uproot this menace of bribery from the state and if any officer or official of power department asks for a bribe, it should be reported immediately to his office.

Reiterating their commitment to provide quality medical facilities to people free of cost, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will dedicate 80 more Aam Aadmi Clinics to people of state tommorow (Friday) at Ludhiana. Divulging the details, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that with this around 580 Aam Aadmi Clinics will be operational in the state to offer free healthcare services to people. Pertinently, in first phase 100 clinics were dedicated followed by 404 in second phase and now 80 clinics will be dedicated in service of state. Aam Aadmi clinics are dream project of the Chief Minister, who is according top priority to them for welfare of people and these clinics have already proved to be a cornerstone in imparting quality health services to people. Equipped with state of the art infrastructure, these these clinics are providing world class treatment and diagnostic facilities to the people free of cost. So far 25.63 lakh patients from across the state have been benefitted from these Aam Aadmi clinics by their visit. Similarly, total 41 type of diagnostics tests are being provided at these clinics free of cost and till April 30, 1.78 lakh patients have undergone these tests. Above all these clinics have helped the government in preparing a database for checking the various diseases prevalent in the state and combating them effectively. Total 80 drugs are being provided free of cost to the patients at these clinics. The most commonly used drugs are for the hypertension, diabetes, Skin ailments, Seasonal outbreaks like viral fever and others, added the spokesperson.

The initiative of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal to listen to the public grievances in rural areas by sitting among them through Jan Samvad programmes; is proving to be very effective. Through this, the problems and demands of the people are being met quickly.        Moving in this regard, the Chief Minister today flagged off a bus to ply from Pehowa to Karnal, via Abhimanyupur and Anjanthali villages; completing the demand of the people in less than 24 hours.        On May 2, the people during the Jan Samvad programme in Kurukshetra’s Abhimanyupur village had demanded before the Chief Minister to ply a bus from Abhimanyupur village to Kurukshetra University and Karnal; on which the Chief Minister had immediately directed the General Manager of Roadways to prepare a route for the plying of the bus. The people expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for fulfilling their demand in less than 24 hours.        The Chief Minister’s interaction with the locals through the Jan Samvad programmes, in which he is discussing various issues and listening to their problems by sitting among them as the head of the family; is garnering appreciation and delivering results on ground.

Setting a perfect example of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, the Self Help Groups (SGHs) of Barna village, Kurukshetra district has become self-reliant only meeting its employment needs but also increasing the economic standard of all such families who need it the most.Notably, presently there are about 30 SGHs working in the village who have commendably managed to save Rs.20 lakh from the self-generated employment opportunities.Showering parsing on the members of these SHGs, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal who specially met the members during a Jan Samvad held in the village said that Self Help Groups members are doing an excellent job in providing employment opportunities to the families who need it the most, along with taking care of their own families. Your efforts are pivotal in improving the needy families’ financial condition, said Sh. Manohar Lal.Meanwhile, Suman, who runs a self-help group in Barna village apprised the Chief Minister that SHGs in the village are not only taking care of their families by providing self-employment but is also playing a significant role in improving their economic condition.In today’s era, SHGs have been upholding the spirit of community and sociality. With their funds, the SHGs also start rural-based micro or small industries, which creates new employment opportunities for the needy and deserving, said Suman.She also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the state government’s present plan of giving an incentive of Rs. 20,000 for the formation of SHGs.Suman further shared that the leadership is given to one member of the SHG, who does all the management work and these groups are funded by banks, which facilitates financial transactions.She shared that initially, the SHG started selling milk, which made them earn a lot of profit. Later, with her hard-earned money, she was also able to buy a goods vehicle for her husband.The members of SHGs and their family members are engaged in various works including beauty parlour, boutique, clothes, dairy, utensil shops etc.

Haryana School Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal, today announced to consider private school teachers for state awards and to waive off the processing charge from the students’ desires to change schools to seek admission in Government school to classes 10th  or 12th.He informed that at present, Rs. 3000/- was charged from the private school students and Rs. 1000/- from students who are shifting from government school to another government school. Students falling under the other seven categories— shifting of family, shifting to or from hostels, readmission due to not appearing for an exam or because of failure or compartment, medical condition or in order to attain a better quality of education will now not have to pay any fee.Sh. Kanwar Pal was chairing a meeting with officers of the Education Department here today. The Minister said that this decision has been taken in the larger interest of students and parents.While reviewing the achievements of Super 100 and Buniyad Programme, he stressed the need to launch an awareness campaign at the grass root level. For this, “we can use social media, advertisements in print and electronic media and organize counseling camps for students and their parents.”He further said that the State Government is planning to increase the centres of Super 100 and Buniyad Programme. He applauded the commendable performance of the Haryana Super-100 Batch 2021-23 in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) exam. The results exceeded the expectation, with 89 students from the Super-100 programme batch 2021-23 qualified JEE Advanced.To generate awareness about the preservation and conserve the environment, he said that dramas will be staged in schools of all districts. He informed that the Environment and Forest Department will jointly organize the programme. Prizes will be given to the 10 best plays in each district by the Government.He informed that new schools will be built in urban areas of Haryana in view of the increasing population. He added that the need is felt to increase the number of schools. The government will soon conduct a survey to map the requirement.On the matter of dual desk and Civil work, Sh. Kanwar Pal directed the officers to expedite all the matters and clear all the balance payments/release of funds for Dual Desk and Civil Works immediately.He said that there are a total of 68 such schools in the state which are to be repaired from scratch. The work on 32 has been completed, the work on the rest will begin soon.The meeting was attended by Chairman, Board of School Education Haryana, Sh. VP Yadav, Director Secondary Education, Haryana Dr. Anshaj Singh, Director Elementary Education, Haryana Sh. Ashok Kumar Garg, Elementary Education, and Special Secretary, School Education Department, Smt. Amrita Singh besides other senior officers were present.
