Transport Minister hears public grievances in Sonipat

IEP Chandigarh, March 14

Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma directed the officials to set up a committee to resolve the issue of loan repayment of a woman; while redressing seven out of ten complaints during the meeting of the district public relations and grievances redressal committee today. While chairing the meeting, the Transport Minister also announced to provide roadways bus facility for Salasar Balaji Dham and Khatu Shyam Yatra.        Meanwhile, on the complaint of councillor Puneet Tyagi about the non-registration of the property inside and outside Lal Dora in Rai, despite being in the valid area of the Municipal Corporation; Sh. Mool Chand Sharma constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner to review the matter.        Responding to a question asked about construction of new bus stands, the Transport Minister said that new bus stands will be set up in Sonipat, Faridabad, Gurugram and Karnal.

Festival of colours, Holi was auspicious for farmers

On the initiative of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal, made the festival of colours, Holi, auspicious for the farmers and livestock owners by organizing the Haryana Krishi Vikas Mela and the State Livestock Exhibition simultaneously for the first time. The events focused on harnessing the rural economy and taking the farmers and villages towards prosperity.

        As Finance Minister, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal has focused on making villages prosperous in his 2023-2024 budget speech. The ‘Haryana Krishi Vikas Mela’ was organized at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, from March 10 to 12, 2023; where farmers not only from Haryana but also from neighbouring states registered their presence. During the Krishi Vikas Mela, agricultural scientists gave information about new varieties and techniques of crops being developed on the changes coming in the crop cycle due to climate change.

        On the other hand, at the State Level Livestock Exhibition organized at Charkhi Dadri from March 11 to 13, 2023, best breeds of livestock were showcased and the scientists of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, gave important information related to livestock. Notably, after the formation of Haryana in the year 1966, this was probably the first time when agriculture and livestock exhibitions were organized simultaneously in the state.

        At both the programmes, the Chief Minister interacted with the people and informed about the future plans for harnessing the rural economy in the Union budget as well as the state budget. The Chief Minister also listened to the grievances of the people during the Jan Samvad programme at both the places; which garnered appreciation from the people.

        The Jan Samvad programme is an initiative of the Manohar Lal-led state government to ease the lives of the citizens by ensuring quick redressal of their grievances. So far, the Jan Samvad programmes have been organized in Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat and Karnal.

Major administrative reshuffle in Punjab; 16 IAS, 3 PCS officers transferred

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government on Monday transferred 16 IAS and 3 PCS officers. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, who is currently posted as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Cooperation and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Elections, has now been posted as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Cooperation and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Elections, and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research in place of Alaknanda Dayal, IAS. 

Also, Raji P. Shrivastava, IAS, currently posted as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Forest and Wildlife Preservation has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Freedom Fighters, in place of Veerendra Kumar Meena, IAS.

Vivek Pratap Singh, Principal Secretary, Local Government has been posted as  Principal Secretary, Local Government and in addition, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare relieving Veerendra Kumar Meena, IAS of additional charge.

Rahul Bhandari, Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and in addition Principal Secretary, Civil Aviation and in addition Principal Secretary, Information and Public Relations and in addition Principal Secretary Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi has been posted as Principal Secretary Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi.

Veerendra Kumar Meena, Principal Secretary, Freedom fighters and in addition Principal Secretary Printing and Stationary and in addition Principal Secretary, Health and Family welfare has been posted as  Principal Secretary Printing and Stationary.

Vikas Garg, Principal Secretary, Transport has been posted as Principal Secretary, Transport and in addition Financial Commissioner, Forests, Wildlife Preservation in place of Raji P Srivastava.

Sumer Singh Gurjar, Principal Secretary, Social Security, Women and Child Development and in addition Commissioner, Rupnagar Division, Rupnagar has been posted as Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmer’s welfare and in addition Principal Secretary, Horticulture and in addition Principal Secretary Soil and Water Conservation in place of Rahul Tiwari.

Ritu Aggarwal, Secretary, Home Affairs and Justice has been posted as Secretary Cooperative.

Malwainder Singh Jaggi, Chief Executive officer, Punjab water Supply and Sewerage Board has been posted as Secretary, Information and Public Relations and in addition Civil Aviation relieving Rahul Bhandari and in addition water Supply and Sewerage Board.

SCHOOL EDUCATION MINISTER ORDERS TIME BOUND INQUIRY INTO PSTET CASE

IEP Chandigarh, March 13

Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday ordered an inquiry pertaining to irregularities during Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET).

Mr, Bains said that the matter was come to his notice that grave irregularities have been found during the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test held on Sunday. He issued an order to conduct time bound inquiry by Principal Secretary Level Officer and asked that a criminal case should be registered against the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Apart from this, the Cabinet Minister also instructed the Guru Nanak Dev University to conduct the paper agains as soon as possible without charging any fee. He directed the officials of the School Education Department to incorporate a clause in the contract with the third party regarding conducting examinations on behalf of the department that if any irregularities will be found then the executing agency or organisation will pay the suitable compensation to the students.

AMAN ARORA HANDS OVER JOB LETTERS TO 14 SDOs & 3 JEs IN H&UD DEPT

Punjab Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Minister Mr. Aman Arora on Monday handed over appointment letters to 14 SDOs and three JEs at Mohali Club, SAS Nagar.

Welcoming the newly inducted officials in the department, Mr Aman Arora implored them to work diligently and with full honesty. He said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann led state government is committed to ensure transparent and corruption-free governance and they should also adopt this agenda while delivering services to the public. He also wished them all the very best for future. 

He further said that Punjab Government has been making concerted efforts to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the state and as many as 26,797 jobs have been provided to youth just in a year after coming to power in the state. Punjab government is  committed to welfare of its staff.

Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Mr Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Chief Administrator PUDA Ms Apneet Riyait, Chief Administrator GMADA Mr. Amandeep Bansal and other officials of the department were also present in the event.

AMAN ARORA MEETS SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS OF E-AUCTION CONDUCTED BY GMADA

          Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Mr Aman Arora on Monday met the successful bidders of recently concluded e-auction of GMADA, in which the authority has earned the highest ever revenue of a whopping ₹1935.88 Crores in a single e-auction.

          Addressing the function organised at Mohali Club, SAS Nagar, Mr. Aman Arora directed the GMADA officials to designate Single Point Contact Official to facilitate these investors in getting all required permissions and also provide them a required Documents Checklist for various categories of properties so that they won’t have to face any hardship in setting up their establishments.

          Expressing gratitude towards the investors for showing faith in the Housing & Urban Development Department and giving thumping response to the e-auction, Mr. Aman Arora assured that GMADA would provide every possible help at every step.

          He said that investors from around the world are coming to Punjab to set up their ventures due to investors-centric policies implemented by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government in the state.

          All the bidders thanked the H&UD Minster Mr Aman Arora and Principal Secretary Mr Ajoy Kumar Sinha for organising this event to interact with them.

          Chief Administrator PUDA Ms Apneet Riyait and Chief Administrator GMADA Mr Amandeep Bansal were also present.

PUNJAB GOVERNMENT WILL SPEND ABOUT RS 6.90 CRORE ON DEVELOPMENT WORKS FOR THE BEAUTIFICATION OF AMRITSAR CITY: DR INDERBIR SINGH NIJJAR

        The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is making all possible efforts to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state.          Taking another step in this direction, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the Punjab government has decided to spend about 6.90 crore on development works for the beautification of Amritsar city.          Disclosing this, Cabinet Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that about Rs 3.91 crores are being spent to provide and set up CNG based crematorium as well as to develop the crematorium in all aspects.          He further said that apart from this, a decision has been taken to spend 48.50 lakh rupees for the re-conditioning and development of various streets of Guru Amardas Avenue Ward No. 3 under Phase-2.          Cabinet Minister, Dr. Nijjar said that about Rs 1.51 crore will be spent for the redevelopment and beautification of 15 parks in Ward 6 of Pandura Sultanwind, South Constituency of Amritsar city.          He said that apart from this, other development works worth more than Rs.1.00 crore will be done.          Local Government Minister, Dr. Nijjar said that department has already started the process for these works. Tenders for these works have already been uploaded by the Local Government Department on the Punjab Government website www.eproc.punjab.gov.in.  If there is a need to make any kind of amendment in these tenders the same information would be made available on this website, he also added.          He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to provide corruption free administration to the people of the state. Therefore, any official or employee caught committing corruption would not be spared.          Cabinet Minister, Dr. Nijjar directed the officials to ensure quality and transparency in the work of the department. 

PUNJAB GOVT. COMMITTED TO REDRESS GRIEVANCES OF PUNJABI DIASPORA: DHALIWAL

IEP Chandigarh, March 13

          Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Monday assured all non-resident Punjabis (NRP) that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to redress their grievances at the earliest.

          During his visit to control room set up here for NRPs to register their grievances, Dhaliwal said that Punjabi diaspora can register their complaints and grievances on WhatsApp number 93093-88088 without any hesitation. He said that registered complaint would be forwarded to the concerned department or officer for follow-up and timely redressal. J. Balamurgan, Principal Secretary, NRI affairs department and Praveen Kumar Sinha ADGP, NRI Affairs, were also present on this occasion.

          Meanwhile, Dhaliwal call a number of complainants who had either registered their greivances during NRI Sammelan or registered these with the control room. The complainants thanked the NRI Affairs Minister for showing personal interest in resolving their issues besides applauding Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government for taking such pro-people initiatives.

          On this occasion, the Minister directed the officers concerned to resolve all issues and complaints, except sub judice matter in a time bound manner. He said that he would soon call a state level meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners regarding the settlement of the grievances/complaints of the Punjabi Diaspora.

          Dhaliwal also appealed the overseas Punjabis to invest in Punjab while adding that Punjabis who have achieved success in foreign countries should also contribute for the progress of their state. The Punjab government will help them in every way, he said.

BIG ACTION BY CM IN TET IRREGULARITIES CASE:

Taking a big action in the irregularities of TET exam, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has suspended two guilty in the case and ordered their arrest immediately.The guilty identified as Professor, Department of Computer Science Dr. Hardeep Singh and Professor, Department of Electronics Technology Dr. Ravinder Singh Sawhney in Guru Nanak Dev University have been placed under suspension with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Bhagwant Mann has directed the Police department to immediately arrest the perpetrators of the TET exam irregularities. He has asked the Police force to take exemplary action against the guilty so that it acts as a deterrent for others.The Chief Minister said that the irregularities in this exam is a fraud with the careers of the youth which can never be tolerated. Bhagwant Mann said that this is a heinous crime which is unwarranted and undesirable due to which he has directed the Police to take stringent action against the culprits. He said that this is a government of hope and new Punjab adding that any such breach of trust is not at all acceptable.The Chief Minister said that the state government is duty bound to ensure that the guilty of this case is out behind the bars at the earliest. Bhagwant Mann unequivocally said that any sort of callousness in this prestigious exam will not be tolerated. He said that no one, however affluent he may be, will be spared in this case.                             

12 lakh new yellow ration cards generated in Hry

Haryana Chief Minister while attending the 48th annual fair organized by Kashyap Rajput Punjabi Welfare Society and All India Kashyap Rajput Sabha in Devinagar, Ambala City on Saturday said that ensuring the welfare and safeguarding the interest of every section of the society is our utmost priority.

        Speaking as the Chief Guest, Sh. Manohar Lal said that at the time of partition, many people had to leave their houses. At that time they had nothing, no clothes, no food but it is a matter of great pride that despite such hardships, our forefathers never begged in front of anyone with their hard work they earned their livelihood and played an important role in the rehabilitation of India after partition, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        Calling the people who had come to attend the function as his brothers, and heroes the Chief Minister said that the Kashyap community has always been known for its glorious history since ancient times.

        “For the valour and bravery, today I would like to give a new name to this Kashyap community. Now, this community will be called Purusharthi Samaj as with their hard work the people of this community are shining in every field. Many welfare schemes are being implemented by the State Government for this society,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        On this occasion, he also laid the foundation stone of Yatri Niwas in the campus. MP,  Sh. Rattan  Lal Kataria, MLA, Sh. Aseem Goyal, MLA, Indri, Sh.Ram Kumar Kashyap also remained present.

        The Chief Minister said that with the new transparent system started by the State Government, ration cards have been made for those who did not have ration cards. About 12 lakh new ration cards have been made.

Ensuring good health for every needy and poor, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi launched Ayushman Bharat Scheme. While following his footsteps, Haryana too has successfully generated Ayushman and CHIRAYU cards for 29 lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Ayushman Bharat Yojana, informed Sh. Manohar Lal.

        He said that constant plans are being made to ensure that the lives of the people remain safe and secure.

        Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, work has been done to provide houses to the poor who do not have their own houses. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, work has been done to provide gas connections to 9 lakh families in Haryana, informed the Chief Minister.

        He said that lately a state-level function was organized to celebrate Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti. On that occasion, an announcement was made to make Rs 55 lakh available for the construction of Dharamshalas.

        We have also declared the birth anniversary of Maharishi Kashyap as a Restricted holiday. The government is celebrating the birth anniversaries of great men at the state level so that their teachings and the message of communal harmony and brotherhood can be spread among the masses, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        Meanwhile, the office bearers of the organization also honoured the Chief Minister by presenting mementos.
