Chief Minister wishes the people of the state on the eve of Haryana Day

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has greeted the people of the state on the eve of Haryana Day.  

While addressing a press conference here today, Sh. Manohar Lal said that it is really proud to say that Haryana which once was questioned for it’s existence today is  among the leading states of the country.  

“All previous governments have made a pivotal contribution in the development of Haryana. The State today has reached farahead, be it the economic condition of the state, industrial progress or in providing services to the society, Haryana is shining bright on country’s map,” said Sh. Manohar Lal

Referring to the achievements of the government, he said that in these eight years, he has ensured the holistic development of the State. 

“The tenure of our government in these eight years will always have an upper hand over the 48- year rule of previous governments,”  added Sh. Manohar Lal. 

The Chief Minister said that where the BJP government is formed once, it has certainly made a stronger come back. 

He also expressed confidence that BJP will make a hat trick  in Haryana.

The Chief Minister also thanked the Union Home Minister,  Sh. Amit Shah for lauding the work done by the Manohar Government. 

He said that the government is constantly working in the spirit of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek with Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas-Sabka Prayas.  In these 8 years, we attacked the ‘3C’- Corruption, Caste-based politics and Crime.  

“Besides this, the emphasis has also been given to promoting 5S — Shiksha, Swasthaya, Suraksha, Swabhiman and Swavlambhan to ensure holistic development of Haryana. Now we are promoting the sixth S that is Sushashan (Good Governance)” added Sh. Manohar Lal. 

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has taken the development graph at the top.  

“We did not change but believed in bringing radical changes by eliminating the infamous transfer business. Today, the benefits of services and schemes are being received at the doorstep of the beneficiaries,” said Sh. Manohar Lal. 

He further informed that the dozens of new projects including Parivar Pehchan Patra, Antyodaya Utthan Yojana, Online Transfer Policy, Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana-Lal Dora Mukt villages, Educated Panchayats and Meri Fasal-Mera Byora have been started by the State Government.

The Chief Minister said that the welfare of the farmers has been taken endured in every policy formulated by the State Government. 

“The welfare of the people has been ensured through schemes like Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, DBT, Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Abhiyan and social security pension etc.  The government has set a target of fully implementing the New Education Policy by the year 2025, ” said Sh. Manohar Lal. 

He said that equitable development of the State is being ensured. A roadmap for constructing at least one National Highway in every district has been prepared. 

“Youth have been given jobs along with their skill development. Medical colleges and 200 bedded hospitals are being made constructed in every district. A target has been set to double government jobs, investment and exports. Autonomy and powers were given to Panchayati Raj Institutions.  Women have been given 50 per cent representation in Panchayati Raj Institutions,” said Sh. Manohar Lal. 

35 new appointees given appointment letter during Rozgar Mela 2022, Chandigarh

Rozgar Mela 2022, Chandigarh was organised on Monday at UT Secretariat Chandigarh where appointment letters were distributed to 35 new appointees by Administrator Banwarilal Purohit amongst those were 32 candidates recruited as Constables in Chandigarh Police Band. UT official said that with the vision to empower the youth of India by providing more and more job opportunities in Government sector, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Rozgar Mela 2022 on October 22. As envisioned by PM, Chandigarh Administration has taken its first step in this direction to empower the youth by providing them employment opportunity. These appointments have been made in Police Department, Department of Higher Education and Department of Urban Planning. Administrator further directed all the Administrative Secretaries to fill up vacant posts in their departments expeditiously.

Cong seeking votes in the name of development, despite being in opposition: Hooda

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda on Monday said that Congress government is coming in, while the BJP is on its way out. He said this is why the people of Adampur are going to participate in the coming government from now on. People have made up their mind to ensure victory for the Congress, rising above caste, religion and party considerations in Adampur.

Hooda and State Congress President Chaudhary Udaybhan arrived together to campaign for Congress candidate Jaiprakash JP in Adampur today. Speaking at a series of public meetings, Hooda appealed to the people that once you send Jayaprakash to the assembly, I will shake the foundations of this government. “The BJP has already conceded defeat on the development front as the present government does not have a single work worth showcasing in Adampur. Despite being in opposition for 8 years, even today Congress is seeking votes in the name of development and telling the public what kind of policies it will implement when the government is formed in future,” he said. 

Hooda campaigned in Dobhi, Banda Hedi, Budak, Kharia and Balsamand villages for Congress candidate Jai Prakash. On this occasion, Chaudhary Udaybhan told that when the Congress government is formed in future, the pension of 5 lakh elderly people and 30,000 widows, cut by this government, will be restored and given back along with interest. “Congress will give Rs 6000 monthly pension to the elderly. The poor families will be given yellow ration cards again so that they can be given ration by the government,” he said. 

“Along with this, the scheme of 100-100 yards plot allocation to poor families will be re-introduced and allotted after constructing a 2-room residential house in it. Congress will also open all the schools closed by the BJP government and fill the vacant posts of teachers. Permanent recruitment will be done on 1.82 lakh government posts lying vacant all over Haryana. Congress will double the stipend amount of SC, OBC and poor children,” he promised. 

He also promised that the creamy layer for OBC reservation will be increased from Rs 6 to Rs 10 lakhs, so that the families who are out of the purview of reservation can get the benefit again. Apart from this, Udaybhan also announced that MNREGA mate, Chowkidar and Safai Karamcharis will be made permanent and the benefit of old pension scheme will be given to all government employees. MSP of every crop to the farmers and bonus on main crops.

Earlier today Bhupinder Singh Hooda attended the program organized in Hisar Bar Association and appealed to the lawyers to vote for the Congress in Adampur. The association assured him of full support. 

On this occasion, Hooda told that he has an old relationship with Hisar. “In 1923, when my grandfather Shri Matu Ram ji contested the election, the Tayal family from Hisar sent a vehicle for his campaign and the election petition was contested by Lala Lajpat Rai,” he said. 

Earlier in the day Hooda and Udaybhan offered their floral tributes to Smt Indira Gandhi on her martyrdom day and Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a symbol of unity and integrity on his birth anniversary at the Congress Bhawan.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Chief Minister pays tributes to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal paid homage to the ‘Iron Man of India’ Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

        The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and urged the society to follow the path shown by him.

        “The Youth of the Nation should inculcate the spirit of Rashtriya Ekta among themselves as only then the country can move forward on the path of progress,” said Sh. Manohar Lal while speaking at the oath ceremony organized on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas held at Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh on Monday.

        The Chief Minister said that October 31 is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas across the country to mark the birthday celebrations of former Home Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

        He said that Sardar Patel played a significant role in the freedom struggle, while after independence also dedicated his life to the Unity and Integrity of the country. 

Sardar Patel played a pivotal role in uniting 562 princely states

Sh. Manohar Lal said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played an important role in uniting 562 princely states that were left by the British when India became independent. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel took charge of the country’s Deputy Prime Minister as well as Home Minister, and with his wisdom, he united the  562 princely states to create a united India, said the Chief Minister.

Hence in this way he played an important role in strengthening the unity of the nation by facing the challenges after independence, the country will always be indebted to him, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi installed the Statue of Unity

        The Chief Minister said that the under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi first of its kind memorial ‘Statue of Unity’ dedicated in the memory of Sardar Patel has been constructed. The foundation stone of ‘The Statue of Unity’ was laid on October 31, 2013, and later it was inaugurated on October 31, 2018.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the dream of a united India was realized by the Prime Minister with the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A. 

Chief Minister administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Oath

        Chief Minister administered the oath of unity and integrity of the nation to his officers and officials, other officers and employees present in the Oath Ceremony.

‘I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the Unity, Integrity and Security of the Nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of the unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure the internal security of my country.’

Kingpin of cattle thief arrested by Haryana Police

Haryana Police has arrested the kingpin of cattle thieves’ gang of Uttar Pradesh region, who stole cattle from Haryana and Punjab areas, from Hisar district. A reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on his arrest.

Sharing the information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the arrested accused had been identified as Arshad aka Data, a resident of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. The arrest of the accused has helped the police to solve many cases of buffalo theft registered in Hisar, Bhiwani, Jind, Hansi, Ambala, Panipat and Sonipat districts.

It has also been revealed that he along with his associates had stolen cattle from Bathinda, Rampura and Barnala areas in Punjab. He was arrested from Barwala bus stand after getting a secret input. Also, he has been found involved in 25 criminal cases registered in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed that after stealing the buffaloes, he sells them to cattle fairs and other places in Uttar Pradesh. The accused kept hiding in Himachal, Muzaffarnagar and Moradabad to evade arrest.       

Three of his aides namely Gufraan, Dharmendra and Sajid, all natives of Uttar Pradesh with whom he used to steal cattle have already been arrested soon after the matter was reported to the police in  2019. The kingpin of the gang Arshad was absconding since then.

It was also revealed that during the theft, the accused have also committed incidents of murder and attempt to murder. On being chased by the police, the accused have also attacked the police parties and also hit the police vehicles. Gurfaan, already arrested in the case, is the brother of accused Arshad.

Haryana Police observes National Unity Day, pledge-taking ceremony, functions held across the state

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Haryana Police today observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas also known as National Unity Day across the state.

On this occasion, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Admin & IT, Haryana, Dr. A.S. Chawla administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to the officers and staff posted at Police Headquarters. The senior police officers were also present to take part in the event.

Remembering Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution in nation-building, Dr. Chawla said that everyone should dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among all fellow countrymen.

Prominent amongst those present on the occasion are Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Sh. Sandeep Khirwar, AIG (Provisioning) Sh. Kamaldeep Goyal, SP Law and Order Smt. Smiti Choudhry, SP Welfare Sh. Rajiv Deswal, Additional Director Legal, Sh. Sat Parkash and other officers.

To mark the event, a pledge-taking ceremony to maintain the unity, integrity, and security of the nation was also organized in all Police ranges and Police Commissionerates, besides the district police headquarters.

Chief Minister expresses grief over the unfortunate cable bridge collapse incident in Gujarat’s Morbi

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.  Manohar Lal has expressed deep condolences on the unfortunate cable bridge collapse incident in Gujarat’s Morbi. 

He has expressed condolences to the families of all the deceased who lost their lives in this accident on his and behalf of all the people of the State.  

The Chief Minister has prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed souls. He said that in this hour of grief, the entire State stands with the bereaved families. 

Notably, on Sunday evening,   the cable bridge built over the Machhu river in Morbi, Gujarat suddenly collapsed.  

After the incident, the police and administration launched a rescue operation and managed to rescue some people safely.  But many people died in this incident while many were injured.  This bridge was very old.  After it was repaired, it was again opened to the general public.

Chief Secretary instructs to effectively control stubble burning incidents

Under the efforts of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led government to curb the stubble burning incidents in the state, Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua, on Monday, instructed to effectively control the incidents of paddy stubble burning in probable areas where such incidents are likely to take place.

The Chief Secretary, while presiding over a high-level meeting on stubble management, took stock of the incidents of stubble burning with the Secretary in-charges of the districts, who recently visited their allotted districts and received suggestions from them as per the local situation. Mr. Janjua instructed to determine the responsibility of the Numbardars to prevent paddy stubble burning incidents, saying that the Numbardars should be entrusted upon the duty to sensitize farmers not to burn crop residue, and the accountability of the Numbardars should be fixed if the fire incidents take place in their concerned villages.

The Chief Secretary directed the officials to pay more attention during the next few days to prevent incidents of stubble burning and control fire incidents. “There should be more focus on hot-spots of stubble burning and the administration should be more vigilant in the villages, where cases of fire have been reported in the last few years”, said the Chief Secretary, adding that physical and satellite verification of stubble burning sites should be conducted more thoroughly. Expressing concern over the difference in number of stubble burning incidents through physical and satellite verification, he categorically asked the officials to focus on area captured by optical satellite data analysis by the Punjab Remote Sensing Center (PRSC).

The secretary-in-charges, who visited the districts recently, apprised the chief secretary that reduction in fire incidents in the state has been noticed and informed that area under which stubble was burnt till 27th October 2021 was 400.35 thousand hectares which has been brought down to 295.60 thousand hectares on the 26th October 2022. On this, the Chief Secretary directed the officials to ensure maximum awareness among farmers not to burn stubble. He said that crop residue burning Incidents on government land given on lease, will not be tolerated at any cost.

While appreciating the initiative of the Gurdaspur district administration for utilizing fire tenders for dousing farm fires, the Chief Secretary instructed all the Deputy Commissioners of the state to rope the fire tenders into service in their respective districts. Whenever stubble fire incidents to be noticed, fire tenders should be sent immediately to douse the farm fire and further action should be taken, he added.

Taking stock of the in-situ and ex-situ management of crop residue, the Chief Secretary also instructed the officials to explore the possibilities of setting up paddy straw bale plants at cluster level of villages, adding that this will help in immediate management of stubble.

Notably, the Chief Secretary had recently deputed 23 senior IAS officers as Secretary in-charges of all the 23 districts, who are consistently monitoring the situation and accordingly giving directions to the district administration. Besides this, the Chief Secretary was intensive reviewing the situation on a weekly basis to curb the stubble burning incidents.

The Chief Secretary said, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led government was working hard to shun the trend of stubble burning incidents this year. He reiterated the Deputy Commissioner should specially honour such farmers at the district level, who shun the practices of stubble burning so as to sensitize other farmers to curb the farm fires.

DISTRICT LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY OGANIZED WALKATHON TO START CAMPAIGN “EMPOWERMENT OF CITIZENS THROUGH LEGAL AWARENESS AND OUTREACH”

As per the schedule of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and under the guidance of Mr. Justice Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar started campaign “Empowerment of Citizens through Legal Awareness and Outreach”. On the reckoning day of the campaign Legal Awareness Programmes were organized in 17 far flung villages besides a walkathon which started from Government College, Derabassi and covered village Dandiala. Besides, Awareness Programme was arranged by Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar as per directions of Sh. Harpal Singh, District & Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar at Farishta Children Home, Mukandpur which is situated in rural and remote area with a view to reach each and every person living at a distance from the urban areas who himself cannot approach the legal services institution. As per the schedule the campaign shall be carried out from 31.10.2022 to 13.11.2022 in which all villages of District SAS Nagar shall be covered by the 14 teams of Panel Lawyers, Para-Legal Volunteers, Social Workers, NGOs and Law Students constituted by District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar. A Mega Legal Services Camp shall be organized on 09.11.2022 on Legal Services Day in coordination with the District Administration, SAS Nagar. A door to door campaign for distribution of pamphlets and other information material shall also be done during this period.Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan further disclosed that as per Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, any Member of Scheduled Caste and Tribe, a person who has suffered from natural calamity, industrial worker, children, lunatic and a person not in his senses, persons in the custody of the police, people who are having an annual income of less than 3 lakhs, Mentally disturbed, woman and child irrespective of their income, a victim of a mass disaster and victims of Human Trafficking etc. are eligible for free legal services. Free Legal Services include services of a lawyer, drafting charges, court fee, summoning fee and other misc. expenses which occur for contesting a case.

Ongoing procurement season of paddy to be completed within a week: Punjab CM

Asserting that 110 Lakh Metric Ton (LMT) paddy has been procured so far, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today said that the entire process of procurement and lifting will be completed within a week.

The Chief Minister, while interacting with the media persons after inspecting the grain markets here today,  said that till October 30, around 112 LMT of paddy has arrived in the state out of which nearly 110 LMT has been procured. He said that out of this 88 LMT has been lifted and a payment worth Rs 18,660 crore has been transferred so far to the farmers. Reiterating firm commitment of the state government to procure every single grain of paddy, Bhagwant Mann said that during the current procurement season not even a single complaint has been received from the farmers across the state.

The Chief Minister said that he is personally monitoring the entire procurement process to ensure that farmers do not face any sort of inconvenience. He said that the state government has taken path breaking initiatives to ensure smooth, hassle free and transparent procurement of grains in the state. Bhagwant Mann said that no stone will be left unturned to facilitate the farmers by ensuring foolproof procurement at micro level.

The Chief Minister further said that zoning of different districts of state had given desired results. He said that this has enabled the state government to have a correct assessment about the cropping pattern of the state to save water. Likewise, Bhagwant Mann said that it has helped in ensuring regular supply of power to the farmers.

Replying to a query, the Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to ensure exemplary punishment to the perpetrators of Sidhu Moosewala murder case. He said that majority of conspirators, planners and executors of this heinous crime have been already nabbed. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government has also requested the Government of India to issue Red corner notice for the culprits who have took shelter on foreign lands.

The Chief Minister also said that before raising question mark over the expenses made by state government to showcase Punjab in other states, the Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa must peep into their conscience and look what their party is doing in other states. He asked Leader of opposition Partap Singh ‘Bhajpa’ to refrain from such double standards. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government has full right to highlight its achievements in other states to attract more investments in the state.

The Chief Minister also said that mere joining the BJP does not give clean chit to any individual. He said that former Congress Minister Sunder Sham Arora had joined BJP in hope of getting safe haven for his misdeeds of plundering wealth of state. However, Bhagwant Mann said that former Minister is now behind the bar for his sins and ironically a machine for counting of notes has been recovered from his home.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataaruchak, Director Food and Civil Supplies Ghanshyam Thori and others.
