Haryana Power Minister Ranjit Singh said that on the occasion of ‘Haryana Day’ some more villages will be included in the Mhara Gaon – Jagmag Gaon Yojana.
The Power Minister said this while interacting with the people during his visit to Banchari and Andhop village in Hodal Assembly Constituency of Palwal district.
He announced that the 24-hour power supply being provided under the Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon yojana will also be ensured in Banchari village from November 1, 2022, on the occasion of Haryana Day.
The Minister hear the demands of the villagers and directed the officers and employees to settle those demands on the spot.
The Power Minister said that under the Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon yojana, the line loss will have to be reduced to get 24 hours of electricity, for this cooperation of everyone is needed, as only then the government will be able to provide 24 hours of electricity to all under this scheme.
If the line loss in any village is less than 20 per cent, then 24 hours of electricity will be provided in that village under the Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon yojana. He called upon the people to clear their electricity bills.
He said that the government has waived off the surcharge of all those consumers who had got electricity bills of more than Rs.5000 during COVID-19. This scheme will run for the next three months. He said that if any consumer clears his old electricity bill in one time, then he will also be given a discount of up to 5 per cent, informed the Power Minister.
The Minister informed that under the Mhara Gaon- Jagmag Gaon Yojana, 49 more villages were included on the occasion of Independence Day, thereby increasing the number of villages getting round-the-clock power supply from 5628 to 5677.
Chairman, Haryana Land Reforms and Development Corporation and Hodal MLA, Jagdish Nayar, MLA Hathin, Praveen Dagar and other officials remained present.
