– Special Nutrition Month is being organized by Haryana Women and Child Development Department which will be observed till September 30, 2022. Under this special nutrition month, parents are being made aware about proper nutrition through various activities. Along with nutrition awareness, special activities like plantation, cleanliness are also being taken up.
Giving detailed information in this regard, the spokesperson of the department said that yoga camps will be organized by the department of Ayush on September 12, nutrition fair will be organized on September 13, khelo and padho activities will be organised on September 14, similarly, special health checkup of pregnant women on September 15, Ayush camps will be organized on September 16, door-to-door breastfeeding awareness drive on September 17, nutrition walk on September 18, awareness regarding personal hygiene on September 19.
He further told that awareness programme regarding the nutritional thali will be organised on September 20, information on 5 sources of nutrition on September 21, health camps will be set up in the slum area on September 22, Green Haryana Campaign, plantation and rallies will be carried out on September 23, weak children will be measured on September 24, prabhat pheris will be carried out on September 25, workshops on how to save water will be organized on September 26, awareness about nutritious food through Maa Ki Rasoi programme on September 27, special health check-ups for ghumantu community on September 28, nutrition awareness programme for mothers of new born baby on September 29 and full month review will be done on the culmination day of Poshan Maah on September 30.
