Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal directed the concerned officers to expedite the land acquisition proceedings so that construction works of Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) Project can be taken up on priority basis.Chief Secretary along with Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works held a review meeting today in connection with land acquisition for HORC Project with Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Palwal, Gurugram, Nuh, Jhajjar and Sonipat districts and HRIDC Officials where 20E Notifications (Declaration of Land Acquisition) have been issued for all five districts. He said that 66% land should be acquired for Part A of the project (between Dhulawat and Badsa) and 10% for Part B of the project. Part-A of HORC comprises 30 Km route length with five new Railway Stations (Dhulawat, Chandla Dungerwas, Pachgaon, Manesar and New Patli), 11.4 Km of connectivity lines to the Railway network at Patli and Sultanpur and 4.8 Km of connectivity line to DFC network at New Tauru. Commissioning of Part A will facilitate early train operations and revenue generation, he added.It was informed in the meeting that Part-B of HORC comprises 96 Km route length with 12 new Railway Stations and 6.28 Km of connectivity lines to the Railway network and DFC network at three interchange points (New Prithala, Asaudah and New Harsana Kalan). This portion covers tunnel and viaduct which are long lead items and hence proposed to be commissioned after operationalization of Part A.Sh. Kaushal was apprised in the meeting that Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) connecting Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda is broad gauge double railway line for passenger and freight traffic by passing the rail network of Delhi area. It will provide seamless connectivity to Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) and to five sections of Indian Railways and spur economic activity in the region.
