Over 500 students from different Colleges of the Rayat Bahra University were conferred graduate and postgraduate degrees at the annual convocation of the University at its campus here today.
Delivering his convocation address chief guest Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, exhorted the students to use their knowledge and skills for the service and betterment of the society with dedication and determination. He expressed felicitations and extended his Best wishes to all the students.
Highlighting the importance of hard work and unstinted dedication, he expressed confidence that their stay at the Rayat Bahra University had made them capable of facing the competitive and demanding world outside.
Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University and Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions Gurvinder Singh Bahra, speaking on the occasion, congratulated the graduates and postgraduates and wished them success in life.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh called upon the students to be active participants in the dream projects of Skill India, Make in India and Digital India. He said it was a memorable day in the life of a student when he is conferred with a degree.
He said that the ultimate goal of education is the attainment of some level of wisdom and the Rayat Bahra University was proud to be a catalyst in bringing this social change.
