Haryana State Legal Services Authority today celebrated ‘Constitution Day’ by undertaking and launching a series of projects to mark the values and significance of the Day.
On this occasion, Haryana State Legal Services Authority has launched a unique kind of campaign i.e. ‘Special Signature Drive’ starting from November 26 to December 2, 2022 across the State of Haryana. It was launched by Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Haryana State Legal Services Authority with an aim to make citizens aware about the noble ideas contained in the Constitution of India.
Key features of the campaign include each district shall circulate the signature drive sheets to schools, colleges and other educational institutions, government offices, courts, secretariat and other govt. Agencies. The signature drive sheets shall be provided by HALSA, maximum signatures shall be obtained as a token of understanding the noble ideas and philosophy of the Indian Constitution and each signatory shall sign under the drive while and after understanding the complete concept of the drive. Meanwhile on December, 3 the complete information shall be shared by DLSA with HALSA.
With an aim to associate the citizens in celebration of Constitution Day to create awareness about the importance of the Indian Constitution and their legal rights enshrined therein, today Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih has flagged off a CYCLOTHON from the Administrative Building of Haryana State Legal Services Authority, Plot No.9, Sector-14, Panchkula. More than 150 persons have participated in the CYCLOTHON including Panel Advocates, Para Legal Volunteers, School students of Law College and schools. Sh. Subhas Mehla, District & Sessions Judge, Member Secretary, Haryana State Legal Services Authority, Sh. Harbir Singh Dahiya, District & Sessions Judge, Panchkula, Dr. Kavita Kamboj, Joint Member Secretary, HALSA and other Judicial Officers of Sessions Division, Panchkula were present there.
That apart, in the presence of Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Haryana State Legal Services Authority, PREAMBLE reading in English and Hindi was done by all the participants present there.
