The Haryana government is taking stringent action against the officers and employees involved in corruption. Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal today held a review meeting with the administrative secretaries regarding cases to be sanctioned for prosecution under section 19 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988
Sh. Kaushal stated that prosecution has been sanctioned by the departments or the competent authority against erring officers, employees, and outsourced personnel in 30 distinct cases under Section 19 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, till the month of October.
The Chief Secretary said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is adopting a zero-tolerance policy on corruption in the state. As per the directions of the Chief Minister, detailed review reports of the progress of such cases are being frequently taken from all the departments. He said that corruption will not be tolerated at any level.
He said that the concerned department has to sanction prosecution on erring officers within three months of the letter issued by the State Vigilance Bureau. He gave strict directions that approval should be given within the stipulated time, so that the appropriate action on the matters could be taken at the earliest.
The Chief Secretary said that soon a portal will be developed on which the departments can upload all types of information related to vigilance cases like Action Taken Report (ATR), investigation report, sanction for prosecution etc. This will enable real-time information about the pending actions in various departments. Not only this, the report of every department will also be generated on a monthly basis and the Administrative Secretaries will also be able to review such cases.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. VS Kundu, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department, Sh. T.V.S.N. Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Sh. Ankur Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning Departments, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, Sh. AK Singh, Director General, Development and Panchayat Department, Sh. Sanjay Joon, Director General, Industries and Commerce, Sh. Shekhar Vidyarthi, Special Secretary, Vigilance Department, Sh. Pankaj, and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
