On the first day of the winter session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha which commenced here today, obituary resolutions were passed to pay rich tributes to those prominent personalities who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of the current session.
Leader of the House and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal paid tributes and read out the obituary resolutions. These include Sh. Dhanik Lal Mandal, former Governor of Haryana, Sh. Bhag Singh Chatter, former Members of Haryana Legislative Assembly.
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta read out the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed souls. The House conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
Leader of the Opposition, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda also read out the obituary resolutions on behalf of his party.
The House bid tearful farewell to 17 brave Martyrs of Haryana who showed indomitable courage and made the supreme sacrifice while safeguarding the unity and integrity of the motherland. These include, Lieutenant Colonel Saurabh Yadav, Gurugram, Captain Nidesh Singh Yadav of village Nandgaon, District Bhiwani, Inspector Jitender Kumar of village Jhanwari, District Bhiwani, Assistant Sub Inspector Virender Singh of village Patikara, District Mahendragarh, Havildar Satender Pal of village Ganiar, District Mahendragarh, Rifleman Manoj Kumar of village Shahjahanpur, District Faridabad. Rifleman Nishant Malik of village Dhanderi, District Hisar. Signalman Chandermohan of village Jhanwari, District Bhiwani, Naik Manoj Kumar of village Budhwal, District Mahendragarh. Sailor Mohit Kumar of village Silani Kesho, District Jhajjar, Sepoy Vinod of village Dawala, District Jhajjar, Sepoy Yogesh Kumar of village Rampuri, District Rewari, Sepoy Satpal of village Bohar, District Rohtak, Sepoy Karan Singh of village Sundrah, District Mahendragarh, Sepoy Rajesh of village Chadhwana, District Jhajjar, Sepoy Manjeet of village Dhanasri, District Charkhi Dadri, Sepoy Noor Husain of village Kalyanpur, District Yamunanagar, Naib Subedar Sarabjeet Pal Singh of village Chhapar, District Jind and Havildar Jasmer Singh of village Hatt, District Jind.
The House also placed on record its deep sense of sorrow on the sad and untimely demise of 16 Soldiers, who lost their lives in a road accident in Zema, Sikkim on December 23, 2022. The House pays tributes to the brave soldiers of Haryana who died in this mishap namely Havildar Arvind Kumar of village Jhojhu Kalan, District Charkhi Dadri, Lance Naik Somvir Singh of village Sandol, District Hisar, Sepoy Vikas Kumar of village Pili Mandori, District Fatehabad along with brave soldiers of other states Subedar Guman Singh, Naib Subedar Chandan Kumar Mishra, Naib Subedar Omkar Singh, Havildar Charan Singh, Havildar Gopinath Makur, Naik Ravinder Singh Thapa, Naik Vaisakh S, Naik Pramod Singh, Naik Shyam Singh Yadav, Naik Lokesh Kumar, Lance Naik Bhupender Singh, Lance Naik Manoj Kumar and Sepoy Sukha Ram.
Apart from this, the House placed on record its deep sense of sorrow for the sad demise of Smt. Krishna Devi, mother of Sh. O.P Yadav, Minister of State, Smt. Santosh Devi, sister of Sh. Nayan Pal Rawat, MLA and Dharambir Singh, cousin brother of Sh. Raghubir Singh Kadian, MLA.
