The State Election Commission Haryana bagged CSI SIG e-governance Award 2022 for developing integrated suite of applications for ensuring smooth Local Bodies Elections Management. It was developed and implemented by NIC Haryana during general elections of Urban Local Bodies 2022.Giving more information in this regard an official spokesperson said that the award was presented by the Computer Society of India and received by Dr. Inder Jeet, Secretary, State Election Commission, Haryana along with Sh. Deepak Bansal, State Informatics Officer, NIC Haryana and other officials of SEC Haryana and NIC Haryana in a function organised by CSI SIG on March 25, 2023 at Delhi Technological University, New Delhi. The ICT project which received award was developed by NIC Haryana under the guidance of Sh. Dhanpat Singh, State Election Commissioner, Haryana, he added.       He informed that the key target of implementation of ICT application suite for the State Election Commission Haryana is to conduct local bodies elections in a free, fair and transparent manner. ICT is best suited to bring in transparency in any such time bound activity with great public visibility.He further stated that the ICT project comprised of web based integrated modules and applications for preparation of voters list and ward bandi, voter search web application, collection of employees data online for deploying them on election duty, capturing details of nominating candidates, know your contesting candidates (KYC), election duty management system application, final contesting candidates (after scrutiny and withdrawal of nominations) along with their affidavits, allotment of symbols for contesting candidates, poll process monitoring e-dashboard and generation of multiple reports online, counting day management system and result day e-dashboard.
