Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala directed the officers to complete all civil aviation projects at the earliest so that the state would stand out on the global aviation arena. He further stated that a lax attitude towards this work will not be accepted.The Deputy CM held a meeting with officers and reviewed various ongoing projects across the state related to Civil Aviation.Sh. Dushyant Chautala discussed in detail about acquisition of land and development of Bhiwani, Narnaul, Karnal, Gurugram etc. airstrips and heliports. He also took detailed feedback from the officers about Hisar airport and gave directions to expedite the work. The Deputy Chief Minister was informed in the meeting that the report of suitability of 270 acres of land for developing Bhiwani airstrip has been received from the Deputy Commissioner of Bhiwani and soon the process of acquiring the said land will be completed. Similarly, feedback was also taken regarding the expansion of the airstrips of Narnaul and Karnal.On the question of heliport to be made in Gurugram, it was apprised that Pawan Hans Limited Company has completed the feasibility study and they will submit the cost estimate by March 31, 2023.The Deputy CM directed to complete the boundary wall of the Hisar Airport by May 31, 2023. He directed the officers of the Public Health Engineering Department to complete the work of supply of drinking water and drainage of rain water in the airport by April 15, 2023.He further directed to issue the tender for the security watch-tower in the month of April and instructed to begin the work.He asked the officers to vacate the Police Welfare Centre inside the airport and shall be taken over by the Aviation Department so that this building could be used for setting up aviation equipment.Sh. Dushyant Chautala asked to make preparations while directing to ensure the deployment of security personnel before air services connecting other states proposed from Hisar airport in August. He directed the concerned officer to coordinate with the district administration to get the high-tension wires removed from the airport area at the earliest so that planes do not face any issue while takeoff and landing. Apart from these, he also reviewed other works of the department.On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Civil Aviation Department, Sh. Ankur Gupta, Managing Director, HSIIDC, Sh. Vikas Gupta, Advisor, Civil Aviation, Dr. Shaleen, OSD to Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Kamlesh Bhadoo, besides other senior officers of Civil Aviation and Public Works Department were present.
