Jannayak Janata Party’s Secretary General Digvijay Chautala attended Chhatr Samvad program for the restoration of direct student union elections in the state in Panipat on Tuesday. In a dialogue program organized at DBG College, Panipat, Digvijay Chautala said that Corona is over now, and the government must restore student democracy now. JJP Secretary General Digvijay Chautala said that student union elections are very important to give good leadership to the country and state in the coming times. He said that student union elections are a way for students from ordinary families to make their place in mainstream politics. He also announced that JJP will give 50% seats to the youth in the coming assembly elections.
He said that student leaders from common families are making their place in mainstream politics through INSO in JJP. For example, referring to INSO national president Pradeep Deswal, who was presiding over the programme, he said that Pradeep Deswal, who belongs to a farmer’s family, joined INSO and reached the post of national president and also contested the Lok Sabha elections from JJP. He said that there are many such examples in JJP but in Congress party there is only place for the brothers, nephews and relatives of the leaders, that is why Congress did not give any ticket to the youth who came from student politics from common families. That is why it is necessary that the student union elections should be restored so that the youth coming from student politics can lead the country and the state.
JJP Secretary General told the students that struggle would be required for the restoration of the student union elections. He appealed to the students to continuously discuss this issue with the students, write letters to the government, submit memorandums. He said that if the need arises, INSO will not back down from protests and hunger strikes. Digvijay said that his aim is to form a youth government in Haryana in 2024, in this direction, the restoration of our small government in colleges and universities is also very important. On this occasion, INSO National President Pradeep Deshwal, JJP National Vice President Kumari Phoolwati, Organization Secretary Devendra Kadyan, District President Suresh Kala, INSO District President Balraj Deshwal, Rajendra Zaildar and hundreds of students were present.
