Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that mock drills are being conducted today at various places in connection with preparedness to deal with Covid infection in the state. He said that in view of Covid, we have to keep isolated rooms ready, keep oxygen ready, medicines etc. ready, while the treatment of such patients has to be symtomotic because the patients who have symptoms of Covid will be given the medicines according to disease. In this series, preparations were also reviewed under the mock drill being done by him to deal with the Covid infection in Ambala today. Sh. Vij was talking to media persons today after taking stock of the mock drill being organized for the preparations made to deal with Covid infection in Ambala. In response to the question asked about the preparations, he said that today complete preparations have been made here regarding Corona and checking is being done at different places of the state to see how prepared we are if Covid comes in full force. He said that today here I have checked about the oxygen, checked the isolation beds, checked the flow of oxygen, operate the oxygen plant to see whether there is oxygen or not. Apart from this, by calling an ambulance from dial 108, it is also being checked that in how many minutes the ambulance is reaching. Similarly, police vehicle has also been called from dial 112, because sometimes that vehicle is also required. He said that overall medicines are also available here, which means we are fully prepared. In response to a question regarding the announcement of wearing masks for 24 hours in some states of the country, he said that we have to see the situation in our state. He said that now we have made masks mandatory in health institutions and masks have been made mandatory in more than 100 gatherings/congested areas. He said that we do not want to create chaos by closing the meetings, if anyone wants to hold a meeting, they should do so, but in more than 100 persons meetings everyone will have to wear masks. In response to a question regarding patients coming to Haryana from other states, he said that if a patient has come to Haryana, he has come, last time also many patients from outside had come to Haryana. He said that as of today, 69 percent patients are coming to Gurugram and Faridabad of the state and patients from Delhi are also coming to Faridabad and Gurugram. In response to a question regarding non-participation in the meeting organized for mock drill in private hospitals in Gurugram and non-conduct of mock drill, he said that this is a national problem, whether any government or any private will not do it, but we know how to get them done. Home and Health Minister Anil Vij visited Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment in view of Corona infection and reviewed the arrangements made under the mock drill. On this occasion, he reviewed in detail the work being done by the doctors to prevent corona and gave necessary guidelines.He first inspected the emergency room of the civil hospital as part of the mockdrill. He also interacted with the patients who came there for treatment and got information about the medical facilities being provided. Interacted with the woman under treatment at bed number 11 and also got ECG of a patient done in front of him. After this, he also inspected the oxygen plant and reviewed how much oxygen is required per day and how much oxygen is available here.
