Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that public welfare policies will be framed on the basis of suggestions received during Jan-Samvad programmes. The new policies will be according with the hopes and aspirations of the people. People are showing keen interest towards Jan-Samvad programmes being organized in the state. The Chief Minister was interacting with the media persons after a Jan-Samvad programme organized at village Karah Sahib in Pehowa today.The Chief Minister informed that during last three days in Kurukshetra, public grievances were redressed during Jan-Samvad programmes held in villages Jhansa, Nalvi, Kharindwa, Dhurala, Jyotisar, Abhimanyupur, Barna, Thana and Karah Sahib. He said that maximum public is getting benefits of all schemes run by the Central and State Government. The e-tendering system has curbed corruption. Through the process of e-tendering, the contractors are ready to work even at 30 percent less than all the estimates, this will save the money of Panchayats which can be further spent on the development of the Gram Panchayat.Sh. Manohar Lal said that whether it is the ruling party or the opposition, the parties must communicate with the public. By holding such Jan-Samvad programmes, new policies emerge from this brainstorming exercise. With such initiative, feedback of schemes can also received and the opinion of the general public towards the government can also be sought.During this programme, the common people have got the opportunity to openly put up their views regarding their grievances. All types of problems and suggestions received during this programme will be considered and all possible demands will be met at the earliest.The Chief Minister said that Karah Sahib village is located at the end of the border of Kurukshetra, the matter of eviction of houses of about 200 families of this village was in the court. The work of resettling these families on Panchayati land has been done by the state government.The Chief Minister further said that liquor contracts are to be allotted in the coming month under the excise policy. Under the excise policy, whichever panchayat passes a resolution not to open liquor vend in the village, than it will not be opened in that village and if there is a demand to open liquor vend outside the village, it will also be fulfilled.Minister of State, Sardar Sandeep Singh and OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Jawahar Yadav and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
