Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught a Peon posted in Civil Hospital, Rewari red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 in lieu of enhancing the disability percentage.The accused Peon engaged on an outsourced basis was demanding bribe on behalf of a Medical Officer who has also been arrested.Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the ACB said that arrested accused have been identified as Dr Sahil Yadav Medical Officer and Rahul, Peon. Both the accused have been nabbed on the complaint of Amit Kumar, a resident of district Rewari.Giving further details, he said that the complainant has approached the ACB and alleged that accused Rahul posted as Peon in Civil Hospital Rewari was demanding Rs. 20,000 as a bribe from the complainant in lieu of enhancing the disability percentage of his mother from 50 % to 65 %. The accused Peon was demanding bribe on behalf of Medical Officer and had already taken Rs 5,000 for the same.After verifying the complaint, an ACB team laid a trap and arrested the accused Peon red-handed while accepting Rs 15,000 as a bribe from the complainant. Later, the team also arrested the Medical Officer.In this regard, a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against both accused at ACB police station Gurugram. Further investigation was under progress.Patwari nabbed for demanding Rs 30,000 bribeEarlier, in a separate case, a team of ACB arrested a Halqa Patwari posted at Tharwa Majri in Ambala district on the charges of demanding illegal gratification of Rs 30,000 in lieu of getting mutation done of property in the name of complainant and his family members. Accused Patwari Charanjit Singh was arrested on the basis of audio record evidence. The complainant had recorded the conversation on his cell phone while the accused patwari was demanding this bribe.
