Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal said that the state government is working with the spirit of Antyodaya.He said that the Government is strenuously working hard to connect the deprived with mainstream. Various policies like self-help groups and entrepreneurship schemes are implemented in order to make them self-reliant, he added.The government has implemented many welfare schemes for the upliftment of scheduled castes. Apart from this, data is being collected from HRMS for reservation in promotion for SC employees.Scheduled Castes Commission’s Vice-Chairman, Virendra Badgujar, Members, Meena Narwal and Ravi Taranwali met Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal here today.The Chief Secretary said that the Scheduled Castes Commission has been constituted in Haryana to safeguard and strengthen the rights of the Scheduled Castes. In this, efforts have been made to make members from all SC caste sections of Haryana. He said that the main objective of the commission is to create better coordination between the government and the public. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary was apprised that the commission has so far visited 10 districts including Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Sonipat, Jind, Gurugram also reviewed the Ambedkar Housing Renovation Scheme, along with reviewing the seminar and debates programmes related to untouchability.
