Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij was seen in action mode against the police department in Janta Darbar today. On the complaint of retired Subedar Major, he directed to suspend Manoj Kumar, DSP, Gharaunda, while a police constable of Panipat was also suspended. He said that “if he finds police involvement in any case, strict action will be taken against the errant police personnel”. He said that the job of the police is to maintain law and order.Despite the rain in Ambala today, thousands of complainants reached the Janata Darbar of Home Minister Anil Vij with their complaints and Home Minister redressed the grievances of the people. It is worth mentioning that retired Subedar Major, who came from Karnal in the Janata Darbar, alleged that fake assault and other cases were registered against him by the Gharaunda police. He had complained about this to Home Minister Anil Vij in the past as well, after which an ASI and constable of Gharaunda police station were suspended, but no action was taken against the main accused. Home Minister Anil Vij instructed to suspend Gharaunda DSP Manoj Kumar in this matter.Similarly, in another case, a lady constable from Panipat alleged that her husband had leaved her and was not being kept by her in-laws. She told that her husband is a constable in the police department and he did not even go on duty for the last one year. Sh.Vij sought information regarding constable in this case and found that he is absconding since one year. The Home Minister instructed to suspend the constable with immediate effect.While intereacting with the media persons, Sh. Vij said that on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, he redressed the grievances of the people in the Janata Darbar, today despite the rain, a large number of people from every cornor of the state reached here. He said that the flood that occurred this time is a big disaster, the administration is making further arrangements and Ambala district has been declared as a flood affected district. Compensation will be given to the affected person for the loss. The people can give applications of their loss in the Municipal council and tehsil. He said that the teams are continuously spraying the medicine to prevent diseases.Home Minister Anil Vij instructed the Karnal police to improve their functioning. He said that the people should be properly heard by the police so that cases do not reach him. At the same time, a person from Bhiwani in the darbar complained about his daughter being kidnapped by a gang, on which Minister called the Bhiwani SP and instructed to take immediate action in the matter. Similarly, the complainant from Karnal leveled allegations of assault on him by the other party in the police post itself, on which Minister called the SP Karnal and instructed him to take action against the outpost in-charge.Giving a complaint against the police, the lawyers from the Rewari Bar Association told Minister that the police did not take action in the case of assault on the lawyer, rather the police staff assaulted and abused the lawyer. On this, the Home Minister called to SP, Rewari and instructed to take strict action.On the other hand, a woman resident of Panchkula complained about her son being stuck in Malaysia jail. The woman said that she had sent her son to Malaysia through an agent and an amount of Rs 3 lakh was given for it. But his son was caught by the Malaysian police and put in jail and now the agent is demanding Rs 2 lakh more to get his son released. The Home Minister handed over the investigation of the matter to the SIT constituted for immigration cases.In the Janta Darbar, a man from Shahabad in Kurukshetra made allegations of raping his wife. It was alleged that the police was not taking action and the investigating officer also took Rs 20,000 from him for taking action. Home Minister Anil Vij instructed Kurukshetra SP to investigate the matter and take action. Apart from this, Sh. Vij directed to the concerned departmental officers to take necessary action and formed the SIT for redressing the grievances of the people like murder case, land mafia case etc. During the Janata Darbar, langar was also distributed to the complainants on behalf of the Police Roti Bank. The langar was started by BJP leader and social worker Kapil Vij. Sanjeev Walia, SDM Ambala Cantonment Satendra Siwach, DSPs from all police ranges, BJP leaders Surendra Tiwari, Sanjeev Soni, Anil Kaushal, Deepak Bhasin, Ravi Sehgal, Iqbal Dhanda were present on the occasion.
