The second phase of the auctioning of gifts received by the Haryana Chief Minister on the CM Uphaar portal has begun with 101 gifts up for auction. The funds received from the auction will be utilized in the ongoing flood relief works. Divulging more details in this regard, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department Dr Amit Agrawal said that in the second phase, 101 gifts will be auctioned. Interested people can register and place a bid on https://cmuphaarhry.com/ till August 15, 2023. “The base amount of each gift has been mentioned on the Portal. The interested bidder can register on the portal to participate in the auction. Anyone can also contribute according to their ability by bidding above the fixed base bid amount and buying gifts. The Chief Minister will personally hand over the auctioned gifts to the bidders,” said Dr Agrawal.He said that the bidder can also receive the gift through courier. As envisioned by the Chief Minister, like earlier, people should participate in maximum numbers and cooperate in social works by donating funds according to their capacity, urged Dr Agrawal. It was in October, when the CM-Uphaar portal was launched for the auctioning of the gifts received by the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Since its launch, this initiative has received tremendous response. In the first phase, as many as 51 gifts were auctioned. The funds from this auction were deposited in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and are being spent on public welfare works.
