Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij held a Janta Darbar at his residence in Ambala on Tuesday. During this, he gave a patient hearing to the grievances of the people who had come from various districts of the state.
Taking strict cognizance of a complaint raised by a woman, a resident of Panipat alleging domestic violence by her husband, the Home Minister directed the Superintendent of Police, Panipat to take immediate action against the husband.
The complainant shared that her husband is physically assaulting her and her son. She is being forced to leave her home. The woman showed a video of the husband assaulting her to the Minister. Taking serious note of the said complaint, Sh. Anil Vij directed the Panipat Superintendent of Police (SP) to take strict action against the husband.
In another complaint, a complainant from Karnal shared that no action has been taken yet in the assault case where her brother lost his life. She shared that though the police had initially registered a case of murder, but till now the culprits had not been apprehended. Responding to this, the Home Minister directed the SP Karnal to provide a status report and also directed to arrest the accused.
Similarly, a complainant from Jind informed the Minister that her brother was murdered a few months ago. Some suspects have been arrested in this case, but the main accused has not been apprehended yet. She accused the police of negligence. The Home Minister directed the SP Jind to take action in these cases and arrest the remaining accused.
During the public hearing, the Minister also issued directives for action in other cases. A complainant from Sonipat told the Minister that he had purchased a truck in his friend’s name, but now the friend is neither returning the truck nor the money. Sh. Anil Vij directed the Sonipat Police Commissioner to conduct a thorough investigation.
A young woman from Hisar reported that she was duped of Rs. 9.50 lakh by an agent who promised to send her to Canada on a study visa. Fake documents were created in her name. When she demanded her money back, she neither received the money nor was sent abroad. The Home Minister ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case.
Similarly, a family from Rohtak expressed dissatisfaction over no arrests in an assault case. Giving a patient hearing to all these complaints, the Home Minister directed the officers concerned to take necessary action in these cases.
