Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal stated that development projects worth more than 2,000 crores have been undertaken in various wards of Karnal city. He said that one lakh more development works are on the cards which will be initiated in coming days across the state.

CM said that due to less contractors and an excessive amount of work, the pace of work hinders at times. Contemplating on the issue, the government will provide training to fifteen thousand young civil engineers who have just completed their education, the government is also ready to engage efficient contractors in these endeavors, Sh. Manohar Lal stated.

He mentioned that a community centre will be constructed in the Baldi village spanning two acres. The Chief Minister emphasized that Haryana is leading in the country in terms of services provided through the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

During a Jan Samvad Programme held today in Ward 1 at the Basant Vihar Colony, the Chief Minister extended greetings on the occasion of Lohri, Makar Sankranti, and conveyed best wishes for the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. He also mentioned his participation in the Republic Day celebration on January 26 in Karnal Police Lines.

Sh. Manohar Lal informed that the Jan Samvad program was initiated in April, covering 115 programs, and he personally attended 80% of the events. He stated that Haryana ranks first in the country in terms of services provided during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The yatra addresses the on-the-spot generation of BPL cards, pensions, gas connections, Ayushman cards, etc. He also mentioned the increase in the income limit for BPL families in Haryana from Rs. 1.20 lakh to Rs. 1.80 lakh annually. Due to increase in the income limit, the number of BPL families in the state has increased from 29 lakh to 44 lakh, he added.

Sh. Manohar Lal announced that in the coming six months, 60,000 jobs will be provided to the youth in the state. The government is also assisting in sending young people abroad for employment. About 15,000 youth interested in going abroad are being trained in Rohtak.

He stressed the need for youth to choose the right path when planning to go abroad and mentioned the government’s effort to send 25,000 skilled youth abroad. The Chief Minister also discussed the Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, which provides loans ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 2,00,000 to eligible citizens in order to make them self-reliant.

During the Jan Samvad programme, pension approval certificates were handed over to individuals, including Sethpal, Leela Devi, Roshni, Darshana Devi, and Subhash Chandra. The Chief Minister highlighted that 60,000 complaints received through the Jan Samvad programs have been registered on the portal. Out of these, 10,000 have been resolved, and 25,000 are in the pipeline. Self-help groups of women have been formed in the villages, who are earning Rs 10,000 to 15,000 per month by engaging in works like sewing, embroidery, weaving etc. He said that a survey of poverty was conducted across the world in 2021 which revealed that 13 percent people in India have risen above the poverty line. The government’s effort is to make every family financially empowered. He said that 3,100 new ration cards have been made in Ward 1. Under the Ayushman scheme, the government has spent Rs. 14 crore on free treatment of 3,700 people in Karnal.

The Chief Minister directed for construction of foot over bridge near Uchani, freeing of Lal Dora in five villages under the ward, laying of pipelines for storm water in the streets and construction of a two acre community centre and school building in Baldi village before the next academic session. On this occasion, Indri MLA, Sh. Ram Kumar Kashyap, BJP District President, Sh. Yogender Rana, Municipal Corporation Mayor, Smt. Renu Bala Gupta and other dignitaries and officials were present.
