Chandigarh, January 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday laid the foundation stone of a magnificent 51-foot virat swaroop symbolizing ‘ Maa’ dedicated to maternal power at Shaktipeeth Shri Devikoop (Bhadrakali) temple in Kurukshetra. During the event, the Chief Minister performed prayers amidst Vedic chants at the temple, seeking peace, prosperity, and progress for the people of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the construction of the 51-foot Virat Swaroop symbolizing ‘Maa’ in the courtyard of the world-renowned Shaktipeeth Shri Devikoop (Bhadrakali) will further enhance the temple’s glory. Lakhs of devotees visiting the temple for worship will draw inspiration from this grand site of maternal reverence, he said.
Meanwhile, after performing puja at the Maha Gaurav Sthal, the Chief Minister also reviewed the model of the Maha Gaurav Sthal project and learned about its details through a documentary film.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that he is fortunate to perform the bhoomi pujan for establishing the virat swaroop of ‘Maa’ in the courtyard of Shaktipeeth Shri Devikoop (Bhadrakali) temple , one of the 52 Shakti Peeths of India. He said ‘Maa’ not merely as a word but as an extraordinary blend of affection, inspiration, and love, nothing can ever replace the essence of ‘Maa’.
The Chief Minister said that the state government honored the mothers of athletes who brought international fame to the country and the state in Gurugram. Now, from the sacred land of Kurukshetra, a project has been initiated to inspire the world with a grand and unique representation of ‘Maa’. The completion of this project will enhance the temple’s prominence and offer pilgrims from across the globe an opportunity to seek blessings and inspiration, he said.
The Chief Minister said that it is his good fortune that with the blessings of Shaktipeeth Shri Devikoop (Bhadrakali) temple, he has got the opportunity to serve the citizens of the state. Every year, lakhs of devotees visit this world-famous temple, which plays a vital role in establishing Kurukshetra’s global identity, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
