Brain stroke is a predominant factor for long-term disability and even death. The life-threatening medical condition causes irreversible damage to the brain cells. Dr Gupta conducted Mechanical Thrombectomy on the patient to remove two clots from her brain and neck arteries with angioplasty and mechanical thrombectomy– Sometimes arteries are blocked in the neck, sometimes in the brain, and at times, both the brain and neck have to be opened as per the medical condition. The Patient had a smooth, post-operative recovery and was discharged seven days after the procedure. She has recovered fully and is leading a normal life today.
