Chandigarh, March 17 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while presenting the state budget as the Finance Minister during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today, announced six key proposals to drive Haryana’s development forward and prepare for future challenges. These include, Mission Haryana-2047 high-level task force, creation of a new department called Department of Future, launch of the Haryana AI Mission, Formation of a Rs. 2,000 crore Fund of Funds, establishment of the Sankalp Authority and providing global employment opportunities for youth.
Department of the Future to be created aimed at making Haryana future-capable
The Chief Minister said that a new department, the ‘Department of the Future,’ aimed at making Haryana ‘future-capable’ will be created. He said that this department will anticipate upcoming challenges, disparities, and new opportunities for economic development. It will provide policy recommendations to all other departments and work to enhance their capacity over time.
Haryana AI Mission will be launched
The Chief Minister said that to enhance our capacity and the efficiency of public services. The Haryana AI Mission will be established. He said that the World Bank has given us an initial assurance of Rs 474 crore in support for this initiative. Through this AI Mission, one hub each will be established in Gurugram and Panchkula. These hubs will train over 50,000 youth and professionals from Haryana in cutting-edge technologies, equipping them for new job opportunities and future challenges, shared Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Government will encourage private investors to contribute Rs 2,000 crore to the Fund of Funds
The Chief Minister said that the government will encourage private investors to contribute Rs 2,000 crore to the Fund of Funds, which will establish our state as a major hub of innovation and entrepreneurship for Haryana’s startups.
Notably, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini had interacted with around 60 such dynamic youth from Haryana who have founded various startups over the past three years. They provided valuable suggestions to promote entrepreneurship among school and college students, including launching startups, internships, offering mentorship, and developing affordable infrastructure for them. Accepting all their suggestions related to product design, branding and sales, directions have been issued for Haryana Venture Capital Fund to work on them expeditiously.
A new authority SANKALP to protect our youth from falling into the trap of drugs will be created
The Chief Minister said that to protect the state youth and the coming generations from falling into the trap of drugs. a new authority called ‘SANKALP’ (Substance Abuse & Narcotics Knowledge, Awareness & Liberation Program Authority) will be created. This authority will work in close collaboration with all other departments and engage the entire society to eliminate both the demand and supply of drugs, while continuously guiding Haryana’s youth towards responsible and sustainable development, an initial allocation of Rs 10 crore for this authority, shared Sh. Youth will be provided global employment opportunities through the Haryana Overseas Employment Cell and HKRNL
The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to eradicating the serious issue of the ‘donkey route.’ To address this, the government will introduce a bill in this session. He said that through the Haryana Overseas Employment Cell and the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRNL), both operating under the Haryana Foreign Cooperation Department, we will also pave a secure pathway for global employment opportunities for our aspiring youth.
Rs 5 crore for Mission Haryana-2047
The Chief Minister said that the government has also launched a high-level task force called Mission Haryana-2047 this year. It has started working on developing a structured plan to elevate Haryana’s GDP to the level of 1 trillion US Dollars and generate 50 lakh new jobs in the state. The Mission has committed to preparing the Proof of Concept for its schemes for some districts during the financial year 2025-26. an initial allocation of Rs 5 crore for this mission, shared Sh.
