Chandigarh, May 5
Congress leader Ajay Rai’s controversial remarks on the Rafale aircraft have drawn sharp criticism from the Chandigarh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Chandigarh BJP media in-charge Sanjeev Rana condemned the statement, calling it an insult to the Indian armed forces and an indirect endorsement of Pakistan’s narrative.
Sanjeev Rana stated, “Time and again, Congress leaders make statements that not only demean our armed forces but also end up giving indirect support to hostile nations like Pakistan. The way Congress leaders speak, and how quickly those very statements are echoed by the Pakistani media and even the government, raises serious concerns about their intent.”
He further added, “Ajay Rai’s comment is not just irresponsible—it’s a threat to national security. Congress must explain why its leaders’ remarks are so frequently celebrated in Pakistan. Is this a coincidence, or part of a deliberate political strategy?”
Rana emphasized that the people of India will never forgive those who question the integrity and valour of the Indian Army. The Chandigarh BJP has demanded a public apology from Congress and reaffirmed its commitment to defending the honour of the armed forces at every level.
