*Chandigarh, May 15:-* The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh is set to link salaries with the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) for all its employees, including regular, contractual, outsourced, and field staff from 1st June, 2025.
This decision was taken in a review meeting held today under the chairmanship of Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, MCC.
As part of this initiative:
• Mandatory Registration: All MCC employees must register on the NIC’s Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS). Attendance will be marked using NIC’s facial authentication via the AadhaarBAS/AadhaarFaceRD mobile application on personal smartphones.
• Attendance Compliance: From 1 April 2025, biometric attendance had been made mandatory for all employees, and their salaries will be linked with the system from 1st June, 2025.
