Chandigarh, October 15:
Three nomination papers were filed today, the third day of the nomination process, for the bye-election to the 21-Tarn Taran Assembly Constituency.
Disclosing this, A spokesperson of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, said that Karambir Singh, the candidate from the Indian National Congress, filed his nomination papers today. In addition, Sukhwinder Kaur, the candidate from the Shiromani Akali Dal, and Kanchanpreet Kaur (covering candidate) also filed their nominations.
The nomination process for the bye-election commenced on October 13, 2025. However, no nominations were filed on October 13 and 14. The last date for filing nomination papers is October 21, 2025, while scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on October 22, 2025. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 24, 2025.
