Chandigarh: The “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign culminated in a grand and vibrant closing ceremony at New Lake, Sector 42, Chandigarh, today. The event was organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Tourism, UT Chandigarh Administration. Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria was present on the occasion as the Chief Guest. A major highlight of the evening was the Bike and Vintage Car Rally, which was formally flagged off by the Administrator. The impressive rally, featuring motorcycles and vintage automobiles, lent a distinctive ceremonial character to the celebrations and drew enthusiastic appreciation from the gathering. The Administrator thereafter took a round of the various displays and performances organised at the venue. He witnessed the weapon and drone displays by the Indian Army, as well as the weapon display, karate demonstration and dog show presented by the ITBP. He also witnessed the spectacular Light, Laser and Sound Show, specially curated around the theme of “Vande Mataram” and the recent accomplishments of modern India. Through an engaging blend of light, sound and visual effects, the presentation celebrated the nation’s patriotic spirit while showcasing India’s remarkable journey of progress and achievements in recent years.
A range of musical and dance performances further enriched the evening, reflecting the country’s rich heritage, unity and national pride and adding vibrancy to the concluding celebrations.
The participation of the Indian Army and ITBP was among the key attractions of the event. Their impressive displays offered citizens an opportunity to witness first-hand the valour, discipline, preparedness and spirit of service that characterise the country’s armed and security forces.
The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens and reinforced the message of national unity, patriotism and pride in the Tiranga. The coming together of citizens, institutions, armed and security forces, and cultural performers made the occasion a memorable and befitting culmination of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Chandigarh.
