Chandigarh, September 4: Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij today visited various temples in Ambala Cantonment on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, had darshan of Lord Shri Krishna, performed rituals and offered prayers, and sought blessings. He prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state and appealed to them to adopt Lord Shri Krishna’s teachings in their lives and contribute to the welfare of society.
Energy Minister Anil Vij said that Shri Krishna Janmashtami is not merely a religious festival; it also inspires us to follow the path of truth, righteousness and duty. He said that the sacred land of Haryana has been the karmabhoomi (land of action) of Lord Shri Krishna, where He delivered the immortal message of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. This wisdom of the Gita continues to serve as a guiding light for all of humanity even today.
Energy Minister Anil Vij visited the temples and had darshan of Lord Shri Krishna in His child form (Laddu Gopal), swung the palanquin and offered prayers. During the visit, devotees and members of the temple committees warmly welcomed him. Minister Anil Vij participated in traditional rituals, offered prayers and prayed for peace, brotherhood and all-round development in the state.
Energy Minister Anil Vij first offered prayers at the temple located at Rambagh Gaushala in Ambala Cantonment. He subsequently visited the Sanatan Dharma Temple in Subhash Colony and then the Sanatan Dharma Temple located at Hill Road Sabzi Mandi. Thereafter, Minister Anil Vij offered prayers and sought blessings at Shri Valmiki Temple in the Railway Colony, followed by a visit to the Sanatan Dharma Temple.
On the occasion, Municipal Council President Swarn Kaur, Vice-President Lalta Prasad, BJP leaders Ravi Budhiraja, Pravesh Sharma, Harsh Bindra and Anil Behal, Councillors Naresh Dhawan, Anusham Garg, Pramod Lucky and Sunny Tuli, along with office-bearers of various temple committees, including Rakesh Kansal, Rajesh Singla and Sudhir Bindals, among others, were present.
