PUNJAB GOVT. COMMITTED TO REDRESS GRIEVANCES OF PUNJABI DIASPORA: DHALIWAL

IEP Chandigarh, March 13

          Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Monday assured all non-resident Punjabis (NRP) that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to redress their grievances at the earliest.

          During his visit to control room set up here for NRPs to register their grievances, Dhaliwal said that Punjabi diaspora can register their complaints and grievances on WhatsApp number 93093-88088 without any hesitation. He said that registered complaint would be forwarded to the concerned department or officer for follow-up and timely redressal. J. Balamurgan, Principal Secretary, NRI affairs department and Praveen Kumar Sinha ADGP, NRI Affairs, were also present on this occasion.

          Meanwhile, Dhaliwal call a number of complainants who had either registered their greivances during NRI Sammelan or registered these with the control room. The complainants thanked the NRI Affairs Minister for showing personal interest in resolving their issues besides applauding Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government for taking such pro-people initiatives.

          On this occasion, the Minister directed the officers concerned to resolve all issues and complaints, except sub judice matter in a time bound manner. He said that he would soon call a state level meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners regarding the settlement of the grievances/complaints of the Punjabi Diaspora.

          Dhaliwal also appealed the overseas Punjabis to invest in Punjab while adding that Punjabis who have achieved success in foreign countries should also contribute for the progress of their state. The Punjab government will help them in every way, he said.

BIG ACTION BY CM IN TET IRREGULARITIES CASE:

Taking a big action in the irregularities of TET exam, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has suspended two guilty in the case and ordered their arrest immediately.The guilty identified as Professor, Department of Computer Science Dr. Hardeep Singh and Professor, Department of Electronics Technology Dr. Ravinder Singh Sawhney in Guru Nanak Dev University have been placed under suspension with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Bhagwant Mann has directed the Police department to immediately arrest the perpetrators of the TET exam irregularities. He has asked the Police force to take exemplary action against the guilty so that it acts as a deterrent for others.The Chief Minister said that the irregularities in this exam is a fraud with the careers of the youth which can never be tolerated. Bhagwant Mann said that this is a heinous crime which is unwarranted and undesirable due to which he has directed the Police to take stringent action against the culprits. He said that this is a government of hope and new Punjab adding that any such breach of trust is not at all acceptable.The Chief Minister said that the state government is duty bound to ensure that the guilty of this case is out behind the bars at the earliest. Bhagwant Mann unequivocally said that any sort of callousness in this prestigious exam will not be tolerated. He said that no one, however affluent he may be, will be spared in this case.                             

12 lakh new yellow ration cards generated in Hry

Haryana Chief Minister while attending the 48th annual fair organized by Kashyap Rajput Punjabi Welfare Society and All India Kashyap Rajput Sabha in Devinagar, Ambala City on Saturday said that ensuring the welfare and safeguarding the interest of every section of the society is our utmost priority.

        Speaking as the Chief Guest, Sh. Manohar Lal said that at the time of partition, many people had to leave their houses. At that time they had nothing, no clothes, no food but it is a matter of great pride that despite such hardships, our forefathers never begged in front of anyone with their hard work they earned their livelihood and played an important role in the rehabilitation of India after partition, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        Calling the people who had come to attend the function as his brothers, and heroes the Chief Minister said that the Kashyap community has always been known for its glorious history since ancient times.

        “For the valour and bravery, today I would like to give a new name to this Kashyap community. Now, this community will be called Purusharthi Samaj as with their hard work the people of this community are shining in every field. Many welfare schemes are being implemented by the State Government for this society,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        On this occasion, he also laid the foundation stone of Yatri Niwas in the campus. MP,  Sh. Rattan  Lal Kataria, MLA, Sh. Aseem Goyal, MLA, Indri, Sh.Ram Kumar Kashyap also remained present.

        The Chief Minister said that with the new transparent system started by the State Government, ration cards have been made for those who did not have ration cards. About 12 lakh new ration cards have been made.

Ensuring good health for every needy and poor, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi launched Ayushman Bharat Scheme. While following his footsteps, Haryana too has successfully generated Ayushman and CHIRAYU cards for 29 lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Ayushman Bharat Yojana, informed Sh. Manohar Lal.

        He said that constant plans are being made to ensure that the lives of the people remain safe and secure.

        Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, work has been done to provide houses to the poor who do not have their own houses. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, work has been done to provide gas connections to 9 lakh families in Haryana, informed the Chief Minister.

        He said that lately a state-level function was organized to celebrate Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti. On that occasion, an announcement was made to make Rs 55 lakh available for the construction of Dharamshalas.

        We have also declared the birth anniversary of Maharishi Kashyap as a Restricted holiday. The government is celebrating the birth anniversaries of great men at the state level so that their teachings and the message of communal harmony and brotherhood can be spread among the masses, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        Meanwhile, the office bearers of the organization also honoured the Chief Minister by presenting mementos.

Chief Minister will be the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony at Charkhi Dadri

Haryana Chief Minister will be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the 39th State Livestock Exhibition, on March 13. The exhibition is presently organized at Charkhi Dadri.

        The Chief Minister will give cash rewards worth lakhs to the livestock owners who will bag top positions in the ongoing exhibition.

        Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dr. Sanjeev Balyan, Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal, Member Parliament, Sh. Dharamveer Singh and several other dignitaries along with top officers of the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department will also participate in the programme.

        The Chief Minister firmly believes that the progress of animal husbandry plays a pivotal role in ensuring the holistic development of villages. Notably, to give a major boost to the animal husbandry sector in  Haryana, the present government is taking dedicated steps.

        “The State Government is taking all possible steps to increase the income of farmers and livestock owners. Most of the livestock in the state is reared by small and marginal farmers and agricultural labourers. Recognizing this, the present government has not only formulated several husbandry-related schemes but has also ensured its meticulous implementation,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        Notably, Haryana is world famous for its Murrah breed of buffalo. A programme is being run by the government for the conservation and development of this breed. Cash incentive of up to Rs 30,000 is being given to the owners of high-quality and high milk-yielding Murrah buffaloes. Along with this, commendable steps are being taken by the government to ensure the safety of cows. For this purpose, Gau Sewa Aayog has been formed.

        With this, the Manohar Lal-led Government is also working constantly for animal health. The establishment of mobile veterinary units in the state is under process and for this, a budget of Rs 11.20 crore has been released by the Government of India for the establishment of 70 mobile veterinary units in the state.

        It is a matter of pride that the state of Haryana is one of the leading states in terms of milk-producing states in India. Today the annual milk production in Haryana is 116.29 lakh tonnes and with per capita milk availability of 1083 grams, Haryana ranks second in the country.

Every grievance raised in the Jan Samvad Programme will be closely monitored at Headquarters: CM

Haryana Chief Minister said that the State Government has started the CM window in a bid to ensure that the people of the state do not have to make frequent rounds to Chandigarh to resolve their problems. Under this system, about 10.5 lakh complaints have been redressed so far.

        “Taking a step further towards ensuring timely redressal of every grievance raised by the citizens, the State Government has started another unique initiative ‘Jan Samvad ‘to resolve the grievances of people at their doorstep,” said Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the gathering at Jan Samvad Programme held in Hisar on Sunday.

        He said that the complaints raised in these Jan Samvad programmes would be uploaded on the Jan Samvad portal at the Chandigarh headquarters and monitoring of all these complaints would be done at the state level.

        “So far, the grievances of the people have been resolved by organizing 4 Jan Samvad Programmes in various districts of Haryana. This is the fifth such programme in Hisar. The State Government is committed to resolving the problems of the common people on a priority basis,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        A total of 428 grievances were kept before the Chief Minister, related to Irrigation Department, Development and Panchayat, Police, Health, Urban Local Bodies, Public Health, Electricity Corporation and Parivar Pehchan Patra etc.

        The Chief Minister while giving a patient hearing to the grievances directed the officers concerned to resolve all the grievances in a time-bound manner.

“The government has taken several initiatives to hold direct interaction with the citizens. Jan Samvad programmes are also a part of these initiatives. Ensuring timely delivery of justice to every needy is the utmost priority of the Government,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        While listening to a grievance related to the Irrigation Department, Sh. Manohar Lal said that attention should be paid towards water conservation. Micro irrigation method also saves water. People should take advantage of the welfare schemes being run by the government for this Micro Irrigation, said the Chief Minister.

        He directed the officers that eligible people should get the benefits of the schemes in a time-bound manner.

        Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, Deputy Speaker, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, MP, Sh. Brijendra Singh, MLA, Sh. Jogi Ram Sihag, MLA, Sh.         Before reaching the Jan Samvad Programme, the Chief Minister did an aerial survey of Maharaja Agrasen Airport. He also inaugurated Lt. Col. Sunder Singh Marg in the city.

STF Haryana nabs two criminals carrying Rs 65,000 reward

IEP Chandigarh, March 12

Continuing with its crackdown on criminals, Haryana’s Special Task Force (STF), in separate incidents, have arrested two criminals, carrying a collective reward of Rs 65,000 on their arrest. Those arrested include one carrying Rs 40,000 bounty and another with a reward of Rs 25,000.

While stating this here today, Haryana Police spokesperson informed that in a first operation, a team of Special Task Force (STF), Gurugram had arrested Mahesh alias Dholu, a resident of Bandhwari, Gurugram from his native village. More than a dozen heinous criminal cases were registered against him under various sections in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. UP Police had announced a reward of Rs 40,000 on his arrest. Accused Mahesh alias Dholu will be handed over to Tonika City police station, Noida UP for further action.

In another crackdown, STF team has arrested an absconding criminal from Rohtak district. Police had declared a reward of Rs 25,000 for information leading to his arrest.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mahabir, a resident of village Isharwal in Bhiwani district. A team of STF Gurugram unit has arrested the accused from Kalanaur in Rohtak district.

It was also revealed that five criminal cases were already registered against the accused at different police stations in Bhiwani district. The arrested criminal was absconding for last 22 years and was hiding at different places to avoid arrest. He will be handed over to the Police Station, Tosham, Bhiwani for further action.

Haryana Chief Minister redresses public grievances at GJUST, Hisar

IEP Chandigarh, March 12

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today addressed the public grievances during the Jan Samvad programme organised at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) in Hisar. He directed the concerned departments to promptly redress the public grievances. He directed the administrative officers to ensure the solution in a time bound manner. The government has launched various platforms to redress the public issues and the people can also submit their grievances online, he added.

        Addressing the public grievance during the Jan Samvad programme, the Chief Minister directed the Superintending Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department, Sh. T. R Panwar to immediately send a demand of providing the super sucker machine to the headquarters. Notably, at present, there is only a single super sucker machine in the district, due to which the department is facing the problem of cleaning the entire sewerage system in time. The work of cleaning the sewerage will gain momentum after the department gets the second super sucker machine.

        The Chief Minister also gave directions to make adequate arrangements of clean drinking water in villages and dhanis across the state. Addressing the grievance regarding not providing pending dues on time of Jamna Devi, wife of Vaidya Ratna Dev Jangra, who retired on September 30, 2021 from Primary Health Centre at Sisai, the Chief Minister directed the Civil Surgeon to immediately clear the dues of the employee adding the interest on the principal amount.

        Taking serious note of the complaint filed against the suspended Patwari, Ram Avtar of Narnaund, the Chief Minister directed the officers of the Revenue Department to initiate strict action against the Patwari. Along with this, the Chief Minister directed the officials of the Revenue Department to display the rate list of fards (copy of land records) in all tehsils. During the programme, the public grievances related to various departments were resolved on the spot by discussing with the officials of the concerned departments. He said that the remaining pending grievances would be settled in Chandigarh after consultation with the officers of the concerned departments.

Encouraging the farmers to move towards a new agricultural revolution is the need of the hour, says CM Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister while highlighting the need of starting a new agricultural revolution said that the scientists and research institutes of the State’s top Agriculture Universities namely Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) and Maharana Pratap Horticultural University should work cordially for conducting the research work and bringing forward new genres.

        “We are ready to give every possible encouragement and support to these Universities so as to ensure that the said research work is smoothly carried out. This desired research work will not only ensure reduction in agricultural cost but will also improve the quality of yield produced, which will further play a pivotal role in increasing the income of the farmers,” said Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the gathering during Haryana Krishi Vikas Mela at CCSHAU Hisar held today. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal and Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta were also present.

        “In the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan and now Jai Pehlwan has also been added. Haryana is an agrarian state. Despite having only 2 percent of the country’s population, about 10 percent of the State youth proudly represents Haryana in the armed forces,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        “New experiments are being done to increase the income of the farmers. The government has also formed the Export Promotion Council. Not only this, the initiative will be taken to start cargo flights from Maharaja Agrasen Airport in the coming time, so that fresh fruits and vegetables grown by the State farmers can be exported to Arab countries,” shared the Chief Minister.

        The Chief Minister urged the scientists working at the Agricultural Universities of the State to conduct research on the subject for adopting the best ways to get a high yield with minimum cost. He said that the focus should be on improving the variety of seeds. Also, the Marketing Board should make proper arrangements for the marketing of food grains, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Adopting natural farming is the need of the hour, CM

        The Chief Minister said that today the quality of food grains has been badly affected by the excessive use of chemicals, and pesticides. Adopting natural farming is the need of the hour. State Government is giving several types of subsidies to promote natural farming.

        The Chief Minister once again highlighted that because of the constant exploitation of water, the underground water level is going down. Farmers should adopt sowing cash crops including fruits, flowers, vegetables, along with shifting to beekeeping, animal husbandry and fisheries etc.

For borewell installation, farmer has to pay only Rs. 25,000, the rest of the expenses will be borne by the government

        The Chief Minister said that we also have to ensure optimum usage of water, for this micro irrigation has to be adopted. For micro irrigation, a subsidy of up to 85 percent is given to the farmers. Borewells are being installed for groundwater recharging. We have planned to install 1000 recharging borewells in the first phase. For this, the farmer has to pay only Rs. 25,000, the rest of the expenses will be borne by the government,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

About Rs. 52,000 crores sent directly into the accounts of the farmers

        The Chief Minister said that to eliminate corruption in payment being made to the farmers, subsidies and other types of financial assistance are being sent directly to their accounts through DBT. About Rs. 52,000 crores were sent directly to the farmers’ account and because of this transparent system, the government has been able to save about Rs. 1200 crore,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        He said that in Haryana, about 80 lakh acres of land is cultivable and the State Government has the details of every inch of this land. “Every farmer should upload complete details of their crops on the Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal. FPOs are being formed to increase the income of farmers, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Arable land is shrinking and the economic burden on the farmer is increasing, CM

        Sh. Manohar Lal said that the arable land is shrinking and the economic burden on the farmer is increasing, in such a situation, along with natural farming, the farmers will have to adopt other sources of livelihood.

        “Haryana is the first state, which buys 11 crops on MSP. Under Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana, farmers are also being given the difference between MSP and purchase price. Further, under the Mera Pani Meri Virasat scheme, alternative crops have been grown on 1,75,000 acres of paddy area, for which farmers have also been given an incentive of Rs 7,000 per acre. Next year also the target is to further reduce the paddy sowing area by 1 lakh acres,” informed the Chief Minister.

We have ensured water to even those tails of Rajasthan which had waited for the last 25 years to get water, Manohar Lal

The Chief Minister said that for the first time in the state, the present State Government has ensured the supply of water to 300 tails along with those at the Rajasthan border, where water had not reached for the last 25 years.

        The Progressive farmers who will assist other farmers will be rewarded by the government, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Foreign universities and institutions will also participate in this Mela in future, J P Dalal

Earlier speaking on the occasion, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal said that every year this three-day Mela is organized by the Agriculture Department and Haryana Agricultural University. In future, along with the Agriculture Department, CII, foreign universities and institutions will also participate in this Mela as the government aims to increase the scope of this Mela, said the Minister.

“I am a farmer myself. Like me, even the Chief Minister also comes from a family of farmers hence if in the country anything is done for the welfare of the farmers, it will be implemented first in Haryana. Unlike previous governments which considered farmers as their vote banks, we consider them as our brothers. It is our government’s endeavour that our farmers should be prosperous, and self-reliant,” said Sh. J.P Dalal.

        He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the Government of India has increased the budget for farmers from Rs 20,000 or 25,000 crore in the year 2014 to Rs 1,25,000 crore.

        In Haryana too, the budget for agriculture has been increased six times. In this year’s budget also, the Manohar Lal-led government has increased the budget for Gaushalas from Rs 40 crore to Rs 400 crore. Markets are being strengthened in the state and an international market is being set up in Ganaur. Money is being sent directly to the accounts of the farmers, said the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister.

PUNJAB GOVERNMENT EXTENDS PLOT ALLOTMENT QUOTA TO RIOTS, TERRORISM VICTIMS BY 5 YEARS: JIMPA

The Punjab government has decided to extend  the time period of a policy by 5 years under which riot victims and terror attack victims in the state get 5% reservation in allotment of plots or houses without any financial concession, Revenue Minister Brahm Shanker Jimpa said.He said that the Punjab Government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has decided to extend the facility of 5 per cent reservation in allotment of plots/houses by Urban Estates/Improvement Trust/Pepsu Township Development Board, without any financial concession for five more years.He said that this facility of reservation was abolished on December 31, 2021, but with the decision taken now, this facility has been extended till December 31, 2026.The Revenue Minister said that a letter regarding this pro-people decision of the Punjab Government has been issued to all the Deputy Commissioners, Department of Housing and Urban Development and Local Government Department. 

GOVERNMENT GAVE RESPECT TO EVERY SECTION THROUGH ITS SECOND BUDGET: DR. BALJIT KAUR

          Social Security, Women and Child Development and Social Justice Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur thanked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Finance Minister for presenting a public interest budget in the Vidhan Sabha and said that with this budget, changes will be seen in the lives of all sections.

          She said that Social Security departments that have access to every resident of the state of Punjab, while the Department of Social Justice ensures that the people who have been downtrodden for centuries get the rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India.

          Dr. Baljit Kaur said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Department of Social Justice has done its job of providing justice to the people completely in one year.

          She further said that the matriculation scholarship scheme was under controversy for the past several years. She said that due to the looting of the previous Governments, apart from the education and valuable time of the students studying on scholarship, they had to stumble time and time again to get their degrees, while the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann implemented this scheme for the Scheduled Cast students in a transparent manner and also got the fifth position across the country for running the scheme in a good manner.

          She said that B.R Ambedkar portal is opened for students.  On which students can avail the scheme by applying online. This portal remained open throughout  the year, the scheme which was seen sinking during the previous years, this year more than 2 lakh 20 thousand students have been registered on this portal.

          She said that the previous Governments considered the Ashirwad scheme only as a means of obtaining blessings. When the Bhagwant Maan government came into existence, after that day, Rs. 51,000 omens were given under this scheme in the true sense. She said that our Government settled the pending cases of more than 35000 girls during the previous governments. She said that our government  has so far released an amount of Rs. 175 crores under Ashirwad scheme.

          She thanked the Finance Minister for proposing Rs. 850 crores for Post Matric scheme and Adarsh Gram Yojana and said that in Adarsh Gram Yojana we provide facilities in those villages whose scheduled caste population is 50 percent.

          She said that the recruitment process of around 5700 Anganwadi workers is going on. She said that due to the absence of a policy regarding the transfers of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi workers had to face a lot of problems for the last 20 years, which our government has eliminated. Due to which Anganwadi workers are working near their homes today.

          She mentioned that after 47 years our Government has implemented reservation in the recruitment of Anganwadi workers as per the ideology of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

          She said that this is the first budget of Punjab in which Gender Equality has been fully taken care of due to which a budget provision of Rs. 7172 crores rupees has been made.

          She said that women of the state are getting a lot of benefits through widow pension and free bus travel facility.

          She added that her department is continuously working to ensure 50 percent participation of women in each scheme of the Punjab Government.
