PUNJAB VIDHAN SABHA SPEAKER HELD A DISCUSSION WITH THE SPEAKER OF THE TELANGANA VIDHAN SABHA

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Kultar Singh Sandhwan discussed various important issues with Telangana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. During the meeting both the leaders shared their experiences regarding the functioning of the Vidhan Sabha.On the invitation given by the Speaker of the Telangana Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Sandhwan reached the Telangana Vidhan Sabha and met the Speaker Mr. Reddy. Many MLAs were also present on this occasion.According to a spokesperson of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, both the leaders discussed legislative buisness as well as agriculture, dairy farming, culture, sports, science, technology etc. After the meeting Mr. Sandhwan said that he learned a lot during the discussion. On the occasion Mr. Sandhwan was warmly welcomed.

MCC issues Jaggery, Oil and Soap to its door to door waste collectors

 Extending benefit to door the door waste collectors at par with regular sanitation workers, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has distributed Jaggery, Oil and Soap to its registered door to door waste collectors.

In a simple ceremony, Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Chandigarh and Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, MCC started the distribution to first lot of door to door waste collectors at conference hall, MCC building, sector 17, Chandigarh.

While informing about the benefit and good gesture towards the door to door waste collectors, the Mayor said that the MCC will distribute 2 Kg jaggery, 2 liter mustard oil and 4 soap to each door to door waste collector to total 926 registered door to door waste collectors by first week of January, 2023.

She said that this will not only help them to maintain their health and hygiene during the job but also strengthen the bond between institution and employees.

JIO Launches 5G Services in Chandigarh Tricity

Reliance Jio today announced the largest multi-state launch of its True 5G services across Chandigarh Tricity including Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar and Derabassi. Reliance Jio has become the first and the only operator to launch 5G services in the Chandigarh Tricity.

Jio users in the Tricity will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, to experience Unlimited Data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost, starting today.

Haryana to upgrade the E-Girdawari Application to incorporate digital cadastral maps and photographs of the field-CS

Stressing on dynamic linking of farmers’ Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) with land records, Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal directed the officers of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Revenue Department to expedite the process to implement the AgriStack Project in the state.The Chief Secretary gave these directions during the meeting of the Steering committee for development of Agristack here today. Strategic Advisor and Chief Knowledge Officer to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Sh. Rajeev Chawla joined the meeting through video conferencing.It is worth mentioning that AgriStack is an ecosystem for facilitating the delivery of digital services to farmers with the aim of doing farming and higher returns for the farmer Services farmers.Sh. Kaushal further directed the officers of Revenue Department to complete the work of Geo-referencing of villages and GIS based real time crop survey across the state till March 31, 2023.Sh. Kaushal further directed the officers to further upgrade the E-Girdawari Application to incorporate digital cadastral maps and photographs of the field. He said that the App should be upgraded to access the actual figure of crop damage assessment during the situation of natural calamities in the state.During the discussion, Sh. Kaushal directed the officials of revenue department to assist Patwaris to bring more accuracy and precision in data of land records so as to deliver the benefits of Agricultural Schemes to the actual farmer beneficiaries across the state. He also directed the officers to maintain accurate records of ROR, Land Mutation and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to farmers.It was apprised in the meeting that out of 19.9 lac farmers in the state currently data for about 12.8 lac farmers is available on Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal.  Geo – referencing of village maps is being taken up in the state by Survey of India (SOI) using Drone data and CORS. Though this would be the most accurate database but creation of this data may take time. However, HARSAC has digitized and geo – referenced cadastral maps prepared on 1:10,000 scale. This data can be used for crop enumeration and surveys etc.Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Sh. V.S Kundu, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Dr Sumita Misra, and Director General, Horticulture Department, Sh. Arjun Saini and other senior officers were present.

BANWARILAL PUROHIT GREETS PEOPLE ON GURPURAB OF GURU GOBIND SINGH JI

The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Banwarilal Purohit in a message on the Gurpurab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, called upon  the people to rededicate themselves to the ideals and goals set out by the great Guru and work for creating a harmonious society, based on values of humanism and secularism.

       The Governor said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a saint soldier, symbolized the virtues of truth, righteousness and universal brotherhood. He was a great warrior and launched a crusade against social injustice and tyranny of the rulers of those times. Sacrifice made by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji who sacrificed his four sons, father and mother for preserving human and secular values are rare in the annals of mankind.

       He appealed to the people to strive in unison for carving out a healthy and harmonious society by following the precious legacy of the tenth Guru and celebrate the occasion irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

PUNJAB VIDHAN SABHA SPEAKER HONORED WITH S JOGA SINGH KALYANA AWARD

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan Honored with S. Joga Singh Ji Kalyana Award at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar.

According to a spokesperson of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, this award was presented by the Governor of Karnataka Mr. Theewar Chand Gehlot during an impressive ceremony last evening. S. Sandhwan studied engineering from this college and this award is given to the prominent alumni of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar. The ceremony was organized by Sri Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib Foundation Bidar in the college campus.

 Gehlot mentioned the achievements of S. Sandhwan during his address. On this occasion S. Sandhwan recalled his student life and thanked the management of the foundation. It is to be noted that S. Sandhwan is currently on a tour of the Southern Indian states. S. Sandhwan also bowed at Takht Sri Hazur Sahib where the Chief Jathedar S. Kulwant Singh welcomed him.

SHAHEEDI SABHA AT SRI FATEHGARH SAHIB-2022: PUNJAB GOVERNMENT DECLARES GAZETTED HOLIDAY ON DECEMBER 28

The Punjab Government has declared a Gazetted holiday in the state on December 28, 2022 in view of Shaheedi Sabha to be held at Sri Fathegarh Sahib-2022.Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson said that on the occasion of Shaheedi Sabha at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, all the government offices, boards/corporations and government educational institutions of the state of Punjab will remain closed on December 28, 2022 (Wednesday). A notification in this regard has been issued by the Personnel Department, Punjab Government.This holiday is declared as a holiday under the interpretation of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act-1881.

Haryana Govt working on the policy of ‘zero tolerance’ in corruption cases: Minister

The Haryana government is working on the policy of ‘zero tolerance’ in corruption cases. Strict decisions are being taken by our government against the employees and officers involved in corruption. We are working to completely curb corruption in the state. This was stated by Development and Panchayats Minister, Sh. Devender Singh Babli during the winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today; in response to the question asked by Ch. Maman Khan regarding corruption in MNREGA during the financial years 2019-20 and 2020-21 in Gram Panchayat Hajipur of Punhana block in Nuh district.

He said that as the complete physical record of works done under MNREGA is not available in the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Punhana; the Department has requested the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India to provide complete digital records. After receiving this record, the inquiry will be completed by the Superintending Engineer, Panchayati Raj Vigilance Wing, Rohtak, within a period of two months. Sh. Devender Babli said that if the vigilance wing of the department fails to complete the probe within a period of two months; then the probe would be handed over to the vigilance.

Responding to another question, Sh. Devender Singh Babli said that after receiving the said investigation report, action will be taken by the government against the guilty officers and employees involved in the alleged corruption in MNREGA works. Giving information to the house, he said that in two districts – Sirsa and Palwal, the government has taken strict action against the employees and officials by getting FIRs registered due to lapses in MNREGA works.

Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that boosting station will be constructed at Rajiv Colony and Triveni Johri in Bhiwani city. For this, a budget of Rs. 9.73 crore has been approved.

The Cooperation Minister was replying to a question during the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha here today. 

He said that the matter of one place is pending in the court, which is likely to be settled soon. Apart from this, land has been made available for Dev Nagar and soon a boosting station will be constructed after marking it.

Tablets installed on seat of every member, House proceedings go online

On the first day of the winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, the proceedings of the House were seen on the lines of the Lok Sabha. Tablets are fixed on the seat of each member and a live telecast of the proceedings is shown with the name of the member.

On the initiative of the Leader of the House and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, who is also an IT connoisseur; Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta started the proceedings of the Assembly for the last three years, on the lines of the Lok Sabha. Last year, during the budget session, a new initiative was taken by getting the budget passed through the ad hoc committees of the House; which was appreciated by all the members. Making the Vidhan Sabha paperless, the Speaker has also initiated the start of all kinds of legislative works along the lines of the Lok Sabha.

The Haryana Vidhan Sabha has certainly seen a change in the winter session. The Speaker has also implemented the dress code for the officers and employees of the Vidhan Sabha. Now any member can identify the employees according to their dress. On the lines of the Lok Sabha, arrangements have been made for paid food for the members and any member can enjoy delicious food for just Rs 100. Bajra roti and churma have been included in the dishes during the winter season.

Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that a large amount of money is being spent to ensure the supply of clean drinking water in the villages of Jhajjar district.

The Cooperation Minister gave this information while replying to a question during the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha here today.

Dr. Banwari Lal further said that the work of cost Rs. 285 lakh for water group schemes from Dholeda distributary of 6 villages including Ladayan would also be completed by March 31, 2023. Apart from this, the drinking water scheme of nine villages including Salhawas Amboli will also be completed by the month of July, 2023. He said that necessary steps are being taken to ensure supply of clean drinking water according to the population in villages like Mohanbari, Humayunpur etc. Necessary steps are being taken for supply of clean drinking water in various villages of Jhajjar district under Jal Jeevan Mission. With the efforts of the state government, the supply of drinking water will not be less than the prescribed norm in any village. Necessary instructions have been given regarding the same.
