Haryana Police organizes Yoga event to mark 9th International Yoga Day

 To celebrate the 9th International Day of Yoga, Haryana Police organized the State level Yoga event at the Police Officers Institute in Panchkula. The event witnessed the participation of the Director General of Police (DGP) Haryana, Sh. P.K. Agrawal, along with other senior police officers and personnel. Under the guidance of instructors, they actively practiced various yoga asanas during the event.During the event, messages from Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal was broadcast live.Addressing the gathering, the DGP congratulated everyone and highlighted that the International Day of Yoga has been celebrated globally for the past nine years. He emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily routines to maintain a healthy body.The yoga and pranayama camp lasted for approximately one and a half hours. DGP Haryana Sh. P.K. Agrawal, ADGP Law and Order Haryana, Smt. Mamta Singh, IGP Modernization Sh. Amitabh Singh Dhillon, AIG Provisioning Sh. Kamaldeep Goyal, DCP Law and Order Panchkula Smt. Surender Singh, along with a large number of other officers and employees, actively participated in the event.The officers performed various yoga activities, including Surya Namaskar, Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, and other yoga asanas, under the expert guidance of the instructors.

Haryana Home, Health and AYUSH Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that Yoga is indeed an ancient practice that originated in India and has been an integral part of Indian culture for thousands of years. It encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual disciplines aimed at achieving harmony and balance in one’s life. Many sages and saints in India have practiced and promoting Yoga as a means to attain self-realization and inner peace.Sh. Anil Vij acknowledges the efforts of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi in promoting Yoga on a global scale. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the United Nations declared June 21st as International Day of Yoga in 2014. Since then, Yoga has gained popularity worldwide, and numerous countries have embraced and celebrated this ancient practice. It is our good fortune that on the occasion of 9th International Day of Yoga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform yoga with the American people from the center of UNO this evening, which is a matter of great pride for us.The AYUSH Minister was addressing thousands of yoga participants as the chief guest at the function organized on International Yoga Day at Ambala Cantonment. AYUSH Minister Anil Vij said that this year’s theme is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which means the whole world is our family. Bringing yoga to every home through Tagline “Har Ghar Aagan Yog” has to be connected. He said that we can succeed to bring the world on one mind through yoga.AYUSH Minister Anil Vij said that it has been decided to open yoga schools in 6500 villages of the state, 1000 yoga schools have been completed and about one thousand yoga teachers have also been recruited. In order to promote Ayurveda and Yoga, work is being done to establish Ayush University on 100 acres of land in Kurukshetra, in which students will study about the five disciplines related to Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Unani, Homeopathy and to take information about it and Ayush University is the world’s first university in Haryana. Today employment opportunities are becoming available through yoga.He said that work is also being carried out to promote yoga in Haryana, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal has asked to make yoga compulsory in the curriculum and has called upon private schools to do the same.On this occasion, the AYUSH Minister also said that Yog Manas app has also been launched. It can be downloaded from Google Play Store. International Yoga Day was celebrated in a grand manner in Gurugram district today under the theme ‘Har Ghar, Aangan Yoga’. Rajya Sabha MP and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, Sh. JP Nadda on Wednesday participated in the International Yoga Day programme at Tau Devi Lal Stadium at Sector-38, Gurugram.He inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh MP, Sh. Dharmbir Singh and BJP State President, Sh. Om Prakash Dhankhar were also present as a special guest.Sh. Nadda said every year International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 worldwide. It serves as a platform to raise awareness about the numerous benefits of yoga and promote its holistic approach to physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.  He urges everyone to incorporate yoga in their daily routine.Interacting with the media persons, Sh. JP Nadda said that in 2014, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi had proposed Yoga Day in the United Nations General Assembly, which was supported by all the countries with a record margin and since then International Yoga Day is being celebrated across the globe.He further stated that it is a matter of great pride for the country that today 192 countries of the world are organising yoga programmes, and the world is adopting the tradition of our country. He said that Yoga is deeply associated with our culture which connects our mind, soul, intellect and body. Haryana Government Allots Extra 3 Acres of Land to National Institute of Design (NID) in Umri, Kurukshetra

The Haryana Government will allocate an additional 3 acres of land to the National Institute of Design (NID), Umri, Kurukshetra, Haryana. After this addition, the NID will have the campus area of 23 acres and will be providing state of the art facilities for the faculty and students for their development.This decision was taken during a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, held today.This land will be utilized for the construction of a hostel and other building blocks to facilitate the expansion of the institute.The Chief Secretary informed that out of the 3 acres of land, 2 acres will be provided by the Development and Panchayats Department, while the remaining 1 acre will be contributed by the Government Polytechnic, Umri, Kurukshetra.The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of providing necessary resources and facilities to educational institutions like NID. This step will contribute to creating an environment conducive to innovation and creativity, enabling students to excel in the field of design.In addition, the Chief Secretary instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Kurukshetra to ensure proper waste disposal by the contractor under the state government’s cluster scheme for waste management at NID. Sh. Kaushal further directed the deputy commissioner to take necessary action for the installation of streetlights along the road adjacent to the institute.He also emphasized exploring the feasibility of constructing an underpass for the convenient movement of students to and from the institute gate. The Chief Secretary directed the concerned officials to visit the institute, hold a meeting with the director of NID, and address any prevailing issues promptly.The Chief Secretary of Haryana highlighted the importance of the National Institute of Design (NID) as a prestigious institution for the state. He emphasized the commitment of the Haryana government to provide all the necessary facilities to support the institute’s growth and development.Recognizing the significance of NID in shaping the design landscape of Haryana, the Chief Secretary urged the concerned officers to closely coordinate with the director of NID. He emphasized the need for prompt resolution of any challenges or issues faced by the institute.The National Institute of Design aims to lead the way in innovative design approaches across industries, commerce, and development sectors.The multi-disciplinary environment of NID Haryana fosters diverse design domains, contributing to an innovative and holistic ecosystem for design education and delivering solutions that align with the evolving needs of people, incorporating digital and cutting-edge technologies.The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. Anil Malik, Director of Higher Education, and Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department, Sh. Rajiv Rattan, as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Kurukshetra, Sh. Shantanu Sharma. 

Micro irrigation project to come up in Morni at a cost of Rs.20 crores

While taking a significant step towards providing better irrigation facilities to the farmers of the Morni area of district Panchkula situated on the Shivalik mountain ranges, the Haryana Government has decided to set up a major micro-irrigation project in Morni. The project, which would come up at a cost of Rs 20 crore is expected to cover approximately 1280 acres of land.A decision to this effect was taken in the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Apart from this, purchases and contracts worth more than Rs 87 crore were also approved in the meeting.A total of 4 agendas of Irrigation, Public Health Engineering Department and MICADA were taken up in the meeting and were approved. An amount of Rs. 1.41 crore has been saved after negotiations with various companies.The Chief Minister said that the implementation of the Solar Powered Integrated Micro Irrigation Project for villages Tapariya, Kandaiwala, Kaimbwala, Kherwali Parwala and Lashkariwala in the Morni area will not only provide irrigation facilities but also help in increasing agriculture produce in the area. After the success of this pilot project, such projects will be set up at other places in the state, said Sh. Manohar Lal.Indori River will be revived at a cost of Rs 20.80 croreIn the meeting, the project for the revival of the Indori River from the village of Bass Padamka to Siwari in the Gurugram district was also approved. The project will cost about Rs. 20.80 crore. Besides approval was also accorded to a project of the Irrigation Department worth more than Rs. 10 crore. Under this, V.R. bridges on the Lakhan Majra link drain will be reconstructed.In the meeting, along with the construction of two intermediate pumping stations in Adampur, the project for setting up a sewerage network system was also approved. The project will cost about Rs 34.5 crore.Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, Sh. A.K Singh, Advisor (Irrigation) to Chief Minister, Sh. Devender Singh, Commissioner and Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Sh. Haryana Chief Secretary-led Standing Committee Ensures Timely Completion of Rs. 2,099.86 Crore Infrastructure Projects

The Standing Committee, headed by the Chief Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, which monitors the monthly progress of infrastructure projects worth over Rs. 100 crore, has ensured the timely completion of 13 projects costing Rs. 2,099.86 Crores across eight departments, namely PWD B&R, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Water Resources, Technical Education, Urban Local Bodies, Transport, Energy, and Home Departments so far.To ensure the quality and efficiency of project reviews, regular capacity-building sessions were conducted for departments, accompanied by the appointment of Department Nodal Officers. “In line with our commitment to enhance monitoring mechanisms, we are now embarking on the implementation of a dedicated Haryana Project Monitoring System (HPMS) portal.  This portal aims to strengthen the monitoring process by providing interactive dashboards and facilitating seamless coordination,” said the Chief Secretary during the meeting.In the meeting, discussions revolved around the HPMS portal, abringing together Additional Chief Secretaries and Nodal Officers responsible for monitoring the operational review of state infrastructure projects. The Chief Secretary Mr. Kaushal, presiding over the meeting, emphasized the importance of timely updates. Officers will be required to upload project progress within the first week of every month. Currently, the standing committee is overseeing the progress of over 90 projects across 14 departments, with a total cost exceeding Rs. 57,798.84 Crores was revealed in the meeting.Mr. Kaushal said that we remain committed to deliver quality infrastructure projects and will continue to leverage technology to enhance our monitoring and evaluation processes. The HPMS portal represents a significant step forward in our efforts to promote accountability and timely completion of projects, ultimately benefiting the people of Haryana.Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr. G. Gurugram-Heliport” is an ambitious project of the state government: Dushyant Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that “Gurugram-Heliport” is an ambitious project of the state government, which will be started soon. Under the Central Government’s “Udan” scheme, air travel will be started from Hisar Airport to various major cities of the country.        The Deputy CM, who also holds the portfolio of Civil Aviation Department, was presiding over a meeting of senior officers of Civil Aviation Department and State Government, here today.Sh. Dushyant Chautala discussed the various sites suggested by the officers related to Gurugram-Heliport and directed to prepare its final report at the earliest.Referring to the routes to be started from Hisar Airport under the UDAN scheme, he said that explore the possibilities of starting air flights from Hisar to Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Jaipur, Amritsar, Kullu, Jammu and other cities.The Deputy Chief Minister informed after the meeting that on April 27, 2017, the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi had launched the Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN, the flagship programme of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The scheme was launched with an aim to fulfil the aspirations of common citizens following the vision of “Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik” with advanced aviation infrastructure and air connectivity in Tier II and Tier III cities.He informed that under UDAN it is targeted to complete 220 destinations (Airports/Heliports/Water Aerodromes) across the country with 1000 routes by the year 2026 to provide air connectivity to the unconnected destinations of the country. He said that this scheme has played a major role in the transformation of the Indian aviation industry. Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the day is not far when civil aviation will become the basis of transport in Haryana along with rail transport and road transport.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to gift 3 big road projects worth about Rs. 3,700 crores in Haryana: Dushyant Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that on Tuesday, June 20, Haryana is going to get a big bonanza. Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari will announce various major road development projects worth about Rs. 3,700 crores to the state.Giving this information, Deputy CM, who also holds the portfolio of Public Works Department, said that Union Minister Sh. Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate 11 flyovers on the eight-lane National Highway from Delhi to Panipat in Sonipat at 11 am.The project is 24 km long with an estimated cost of around Rs. 900 crores. He informed that Sh. Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone for the construction work of Karnal Green Field Six-Lane Ring Road project at village Kutail in Karnal district at 3.30 pm.The total length of this project is 35 km and it will cost about Rs. 1,700 crores. Similarly, at 5.30 pm, the Union Minister will lay the foundation stone of the construction work of Ambala Green Field Six Lane Ring Road project at village Jandli in Ambala district. The total length of this project is 23 km with an estimated cost of around Rs. 1,100 crores.The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is continuously strengthening the road network. He said that these three major road projects will change the picture of infrastructure in the state and will also give a new direction to the development of industries. Sh. Chautala said that along with Haryana, the passengers of Punjab, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir passing through Delhi-Panipat corridor will also get complete benefit of this road project. Similarly, the construction of Ambala and Karnal Ring Road will provide relief to the local people from the traffic congestion in the city in both the districts. 

Development works are being carried out in the state without any disparity: Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal

Haryana School Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the Chief Minister through his visionary approach has ensured holistic development across the state without any disparity.        Sh. Kanwarpal said this while addressing a Jan Samvad programme in villages Ghodo Peepli, Shadipur, Balachaur, Fatehgarh and Bibipur of Yamunanagar assembly constituency. In these programmes, he directly interacted with the public and informed about the development works being carried out by the government.        The Minister informed in the Jan Samvad Programme that 71 colleges have been established by the Chief Minister in eight years, while earlier there were 103 colleges in the state. He said that now no girl has to travel more than 20 kms to get education.Interacting with the public, the Minister said that in the government schools, the government has ensured to provide facilities of dual desks, toilets, clean drinking water, playground, boundary wall of the school and paved path to reach the school. He said that the schools which had 80 to 100 children in class 11th have been upgraded up to class 12th and the remaining schools will also be upgraded without any discrimination.

Gadkari accedes to CM’s demand, assures to complete work on Jalandhar Hoshiarpur road and Adampur flyover

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday impressed upon the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari to intervene for completing the work on Jalandhar Hoshiarpur road especially the Adampur flyover.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by Lok Sabha MP from Jalandhar Sushil Kumar Rinku, called on Nitin Gadkari here at his residence.

The Chief Minister apprised Gadkari about the project that had been hanging in fire since long. He said that this has resulted in lot of inconvenience to the people due to which it must be completed at the earliest. Acceding to the demand the Union Minister assured Bhagwant Mann that the project will be completed very soon and he will be personally monitoring the pace of work.

The Chief Minister and Gadkari also reviewed the construction of Delhi Katra expressway. Both the leaders agreed on expediting the work on this project which will be a big boost for the economy of the state. They also said that this highway will facilitate the pilgrims going to pay obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine apart from giving boost to economic activity in the region.

The Chief Minister also apprised Gadkari that the state government is soon going to form Road Security Force in the state to check causalities due to road accidents. He said that this dedicated force will help in checking road accidents thereby saving precious lives in the state. Union Minister welcomed the idea of Bhagwant Mann and said this unique of the box idea will help in checking deaths due to road accidents.

The Chief Minister also flagged the issue of high handedness by the National Highway Toll Plazas and said that they must be controlled in larger public interest. He urged the Union Minister that public interest must be given paramount importance and the toll plazas must not be given a free hand to charge any amount from public. Bhagwant Mann said that it is the need of hour to ensure that the open loot of public money is checked.
