Haryana government determined to realize Prime Minister’s vision to make India TB-free by 2025: Chief Minister

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Sh. Sukhvinder Singh paid a courtesy call on Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal at Haryana Niwas here today. Sh. Manohar Lal welcomed him with a bouquet, while Sh. Sukhvinder Singh also expressed gratitude to Haryana Chief Minister by presenting him a shawl and a Himachali cap.

        Himachal Health Minister Col (Dr) Dhani Ram Shandil, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ramkumar, Principal Private Secretary to Chief Minister, Vivek Bhatia, Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner, Solan, Manmohan Sharma, SP, Solan, Virender Sharma and Press Liaison Officer Hemant Vats was also present on the occasion.

        Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. V Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Advisor to CM, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Pawan Choudhary were also present.

        Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the relation of neighbors is more than that of friends and both the states will cooperate in keeping it together. He said that a detailed discussion was held on water and electricity; beside talks on some borders and roads. Both the states will get benefit from this discussion, he said, adding that Adi Badri Dam was also discussed in detail on which work would be started soon.

        Apart from this, talks were also held regarding the process of setting up new projects in Himachal Pradesh, on which the Himachal Chief Minister also agreed. He said that both the states will get the benefit of electricity and water.

        Also, discussion was held regarding the recently imposed water generator cess. The Haryana Chief Minister said that the burden of this cess will fall on the people of Haryana. He said that Himachal Pradesh cannot levy any cess on old projects and can levy cess only if the Haryana government agrees to set up a new project.

Fourth phase of Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana to start from April 28

After three successful phases of Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana (MMAPUY), which was started for economic upliftment of poor families in the state under the guidance of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal; the fourth phase would be launched from April 28. The identified families will be informed about various schemes in Antyodaya Melas and loans will be provided under the schemes adopted by them.This information was given in the meeting of the State Level Task Force under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, chaired by Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal with various Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners here today.The Chief Secretary said that in the fourth phase, special emphasis should be laid on various schemes including skill development training, HarHith store, Vita booth, etc; to realize the vision of the state government to make youth entrepreneurs.Taking cognizance of the shortcomings of the three phases, the Chief Secretary directed the officers to ensure smooth completion of the fourth phase of the scheme along with providing benefits to the families in a time-bound manner.Ranking system to monitor functioning of departmentsIn a bid to create a sense of competition among the departments, the Chief Secretary directed the officers that a ranking system should be adopted and targets should be set for various departments.He said that the main goal of the state government is to make ‘Sarvajan Hitay-Sarvajan Sukhay’ a reality by following the principle of Antyodaya and thus the officers should intensify the campaign to make the services related to public welfare accessible to the common people with full-readiness and transparency.Information about schemes through pre-counselling meetingsDuring the meeting, it was apprised that before the commencement of the fourth phase of MMAPUY, pre-counselling meetings are being organized for identified families in all the districts. The family members are being counselled and informed about government schemes in these meetings; beside being encouraged for self-employment.It was also apprised that under the scheme, more than 800 Antyodaya Gram Utthan Melas were organized in three phases across the state. Out of 3,35,252 beneficiaries identified and invited for the fairs, 1,37,738 appeared and applications of more than 76,000 beneficiaries were approved in principle under various credit-based schemes, skill development training and employment generation schemes. Also, loans of more than 37,000 beneficiaries were sanctioned.Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Sh. Ankur Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Sh. Hry Govt will soon finalize a pilot project for employees of subordinate courts and other government offices to impart training on Hindi Language

Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr Sanjeev Kaushal today said that the State Government will soon finalize a pilot project for employees of subordinate courts and other government offices to impart training on Hindi Language. The training schedule for officers and officials of district level court will be finalised in consultation with the Punjab and Haryana High Court.The Chief Secretary was presiding over a meeting regarding the implementation of the Hindi language in subordinate courts in the state here today.Mr. Kaushal said that the Revenue Department has been working to simplify revenue terms so as to facilitate the common man. He asked the Languages Department to prepare the administrative terminology in Hindi language. The Chief Secretary also directed to provide bilingual training for the existing staff of the state government to enhance their work efficiency in various Departments.In the meeting, a proposal was also discussed to encourage the students studying Law, Engineering, Medical and other courses in the training courses of Hindi language. For this, incentives can also be considered to provide some incentives. Besides, discussions were also held to explore the possibility of weekend training classes for the employees so that their working hours would not be affected.Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management and Consolidation Departments, Mr. Rajesh Khullar, Chairman of the Haryana State Higher Education Council, Mr. B K Kuthiala, Additional chief secretary, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal and other senior officers were present. 

Rs 304 crore will be spent on renovation and expansion of Delhi Parallel Canal, says Hry Chief Minister

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today laid the foundation stone for the expansion and renovation work of the Parallel Delhi Canal on Thursday. An amount of Rs 304 crore will be spent by the state government on the expansion and renovation work of the Parallel Delhi Canal. Due to this thousands of farmers of Israna, Panipat Rural and Samalkha assembly constituencies will also be greatly benefited alongwith the people of South Haryana.This work will be started from Munak in Karnal to Khubdu head in Sonipat district. After the completion of the expansion work, the capacity of water in this canal will increase from 5528 cusecs to 7280 cusecs. The renovation will increase the width from 85 feet to 98 feet and the depth from 11.5 feet to 13.5 feet.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, in a bid to ensure that farmers should get maximum benefit from the canal water, expansion and renovation work of Parallel Delhi Canal was necessary.He  said that the people of South Haryana including Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat had been demanding for a long time that the capacity of water in the Parallel Delhi Canal should be increased.”In Haryana about 80 lakh acres of land is cultivable.   Apart from canals,  in the state, irrigation is also done through tube wells. With proper management of water, now the same can be supplied to the low-lying areas as well,” said Sh. Manohar  Lal.He said that this scheme will prove effective for  ensuring proper supply of drinking water to the area from Hathni Kund to Gurugram.On this occasion, MLA, Panipat City Sh. Pramod Vij, MLA Panipat Rural, Sh.  Mahipal Dhanda and senior officers remained present. 

World famous mountaineer Anita Kundu meets Hry Chief Minister

World renowned mountaineer Anita Kundu met Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal at his residence Sant Kabir Kutir and sought blessings for her next goal. The Chief Minister extended greetings to Anita Kundu for a successful journey.Anita Kundu, who hoisted the tricolor three times on the world’s highest peak Mount Everest, apprised that now she will climb the 8,481 metres high peak Mount Makalu located in Nepal and will hoist the Indian tricolour.Notably, in the year 2020, Anita Kundu has also been honoured by the President; with the ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award’, the biggest adventure award.

Deed writer accepting Rs 60000 bribe on behalf of Naib Tehsildar arrested

Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau has caught a Deed writer accepting bribe of Rs 60,000 from a person in lieu of registration of the sale deed of plots in Tehsil Sohna.The accused has accepted bribe on behalf of Naib Tehsildar, Sohna who has also been booked.Sharing the details here today, a spokesperson of the Bureau informed that complainant, a resident of Sector-38 Gurugram filed a complaint against Gaurav, Deed Writer Tehsil Sohna demanding bribe of Rs 78,500 in lieu of registration of sale deed of plots. The demand was made on behalf of Naib Tehsildar Satbir Singh.Acting on the complaint, a team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted a raid and nabbed the Deed Writer accepting bribe of Rs 60,000.A case under the Prevention of corruption act had been registered against the both in the Bureau police station. A thorough investigation of the case is underway.In a separate case, ACB team caught an Inspector of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 2000 in lieu of running a ration depot in Narnaul.The complainant, a resident of village Kharani district Mahendergarh filed a complaint against the accused Inspector Neeraj demanding bribe in lieu of running ration depot. Acting on the complaint, ACB team conducted a raid and nabbed the accused Inspector accepting bribe.

Hry Chief Secretary inaugurates a blood donation camp at Haryana Civil Secretariat

Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal inaugurated a blood donation camp at Haryana Civil Secretariat here today. He also interacted with the donors and appreciated them for donating blood.The Chief Secretary said that a blood donation is a noble act. A healthy person should actively participate in charitable work like donating blood. The needy get a new lease of life from the blood donated by the Samaritans, he added.Out of the total 125 employees donated blood during the camp, 100 donors have donated blood for the second time, 20 donors for over 15 times and 5 donors for more than 40 times. The Chief Secretary encouraged all the employees to step forward for this noble cause.This blood donation camp was organized by Haryana Government in collaboration with Rotary Blood Bank Society and Blood Society Resource Centre, Chandigarh.On this occasion, Special Secretary, Secretariat Establishment, Mr. Samwartak Singh Khangwal, Secretary, Rotary Blood Bank Society, Ms. Niti Sarin and other officers were also present.

With three new e-governance initiatives, Haryana digitally empowers beneficiaries

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar  Lal while  taking a  step forward towards digitally empowering the beneficiaries today announced three services which have been brought on the IT platform. These include Pro-active Divyang Pension Service, ‘Tau se pucho’, whatsapp chat bot and online room booking facility at  PWD (B&R) rest  houses.         While addressing the press conference held here today the Chief Minister  said that these three IT initiatives  are certainly going to prove a milestone in the State Government’s  vision of paperless and transparent governance.        Divulging  the details about  Pro-active Divyang Pension Service, Sh. Manohar  Lal said that reiterating the state government’s commitment to  deliver all government services at the beneficiaries’ doorsteps, now we have decided to give automated pension benefits to Persons  With Disabilities (PwDs).”Now all such beneficiaries will not have to visit the offices to get their  benefits,” said the Chief Minister.          Sh. Manohar Lal further shared that  data of PwDs having more than 60 percent disability that is  available with  the Parivar Informatics Data Repository will be certified by the Haryana  Parivar Pehchan Authority every month.        “The data of all such PWDs  found eligible after verification (as per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the scheme) will be shared with the SEWA Department,” informed Sh. Manohar  Lal.        He further informed that the  District Officer of the SEWA Department will contact all such beneficiaries and take their consent getting the pension benefits. If all such beneficiaries give  their consent, pension benefits will start from next month, informed the Chief Minister.Clarify your PPP related  queries on ‘Tau Se Pucho’ WhatsApp bot  while sitting at your home only        The Chief Minister said that in today’s time answering various queries raised by the citizens personally becomes a herculean task. Therefore,  making a digital shift, the  Haryana  Parivar Pehchan Authority has created a WhatsApp bot called ‘Tau Se Pucho’ along with Web Based Chatbot Solution, said Sh. Manohar  Lal.        ‘Tau Se Pucho’ bilingual  chat bot is integrated with WhatsApp and is designed to give quick responses to the queries raised by the citizens. This IT platform will be easily accessible to everyone and the user will be able to communicate easily on this platform while sitting at their home only and without any extra effort or cost. Along with citizens, this platform will also save the government’s time. Analytical study of the queries received will certainly prove to be  helpful in the process of resolving complaints and resolution, “shared the Chief Minister.        Sh. Manohar  Lal further  shared that  technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing have been added to this integrated digital platform.        The Chief Minister  said that on this chatbot, citizens can raise queries regarding status of various data fields as well as services like income, marriage registration, public distribution system, ration card, caste, pension and grievances.        “The families can interact with the integrated Tau se Pucho WhatsApp bot to seek advice on the application process, documents required, eligibility, government regulations and benefits of various programmes,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.        The Chief Minister further shared that on this app, the beneficiaries will be able to check the progress of their applications for various services including income certificate, marriage certificate, public distribution system, ration card, caste certificate, pension, and complaints and grievances. Portal launched for room booking at PWD (B&R) rest houses        While launching the portal for room booking at PWD (B&R) rest houses, the Chief Minister said that now all rest houses can be booked online by Government officials as well as private people. The interested one’s  can get their room bookings done at http://hryguesthouse.gov.in.        Sharing the features of online rest house booking, Sh. Manohar  Lal said that through this portal, applicants can now check room availability, book a room, make online payment of booking amount, cancel booking and print booking slip and to avail this service the applicant will have to pay the full amount online at the time of booking only.        He further shared that the portal has been linked with IDBI  Bank’s payment gateway services. Cancellation of booking within 24 hours of check-in will result in a deduction of 20 percent of the booking amount. No refund will be given for cancellation of booking less than 24 hours after check-in, shared Sh. Manohar  Lal.        The Chief Minister further shared that booking can be done 15 days in advance, he added.        Sharing the details about the terms and conditions for booking of  rooms by private persons, the Chief  Minister shared that Any private person can book 25 percent of the vacant rooms 15 days before booking.        Besides this, 50 percent of the vacant rooms can be booked 7 days before booking.  However,  75 percent of vacant rooms can be booked 3 days before the  booking. Rooms for private persons will not be booked before 3 days from the date of booking, shared  Sh. Manohar  Lal.

Libraries will be built in 5 villages of Palwal district, announces Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar  Lal made several  pivotal announcements during  Jan Samvad programme held at village Mandkola in Palwal district today.        “Libraries would be set up in five villages including Bahin, Hathin, Mandkola. Besides  this, a purchase centre would also be constructed in the village at a cost of Rs. 1.25 crore. Further an  amount of Rs 3.6 crore has been sanctioned for Mandkola village for this financial year,” announced Sh. Manohar Lal.        Interacting with the villagers during the Jan Samvad programme, the Chief Minister  said that the  construction  of a road with a cumulative length of 6 km from Mandkola village has also been approved. Also, an amount of Rs 3.2 crore has been sanctioned for construction  of a 3.5 kilometre road between Dhatir-Mandkola village.         Sh. Manohar Lal further said that the sewerage system  would be further  strengthened, along with this  rejuvenation of ponds would be done  in 10 Mahagrams of the surrounding area.        He said that the work of upgrading the CHC centre  of the village and construction of a PWD building is going on.        The Chief Minister said that Jan Samvad programme has been started to hold one to one interaction  with the people and to listen to their grievances.        He said that the Jan Samvad programme in district Palwal will run from April 12 to April 14, covering 15 villages.        MLA, Sh. Parveen Dagar and other dignitaries also remained present on this occasion.
