Uttarakhand Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today said that the State government has kept all its options open when it comes to the investigation of the UKSSSC examination paper leak case. At present the government is satisfied with the STF investigation but if needed in the future, the government will not hesitate from taking a big step in the interests of Uttarakhand and to maintain transparency in recruitment examinations. The CM said this while interacting with Bharatiya Janata Party State spokesman Ravinder Jugran who had gone to meet him for discussing the issue of the UKSSSC paper leak and government jobs allegedly being sold to bidders. Jugran said that the CM made it clear that the State government can also consider recommending a CBI investigation in the paper leak case in the interests of the State. The government may also recommend investigating the past 10 years, said the CM.
Earlier, Jugran requested Dhami that the option of CBI probe should be kept open to reach the core of the paper leak case, masterminds in the system and the big fish in the case. Jugran said that the STF officers may not be able to properly question senior police officers, bureaucrats, influential persons and politicians. He said that the chief minister listened to the issue seriously and with patience while assuring that the State government will do the needful to ensure that all those guilty in the case are brought to book.
