Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam is making concerted efforts to ensure good voltage and uninterrupted power supply to the consumers. Under these efforts, many ambitious programmes have been started by the Electricity Department to achieve the goal of ‘complete consumer satisfaction’ so that the problems of the consumers can be resolved expeditiously.

          While giving this information today, a spokesperson of the Corporation said that the members of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum will visit various places in the month of July for registering consumer complaints and hearing old complaints.

          He informed that the members of the forum will hear complaints from 11 am to 4 pm and will also register new complaints on July 11 in Operation Circle Karnal, July 13 in Operation Circle Kurukshetra, July15 in Operation Circle Ambala, July18 in Operation Circle Yamunanagar, July 20 in Operation Circle Rohtak, July 22 in Operation Circle Jhajjar, July 25 in Operation Circle Sonipat, July27 in Operation Circle Panchkula and July 29 in Operation Circle Panipat. With this, the facility of hearing of their case will be available to the consumers at the nearest place. Apart from this, redressal of complaints of consumers visiting office except field visits will be done at CGRF Headquarters from 9 am to 5 pm.

          The members of the forum will listen to all kinds of problems of the consumers. This mainly includes complaints related to billing, voltage, metering, disconnection and connection, interruptions in power supply, efficiency, safety and disobeying orders of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission etc. However, the forum will not hear cases related to theft of electricity and unauthorized use of electricity under sections 126 and sections 135 to 139, penalties and fines and investigation under section 161 and cases related to accidents.
